Default Where do you buy shorts?

I know for many of us we are not thinking about shorts weather yet but I'm going on a cruise in March!

If you're in the US, where do you buy shorts? Not Bermuda style, not hoochie mama style, not running style, but just regular shorts with maybe a 5-7 inch inseam (kinda the length of running shorts).

Just curious. Realize due to the time of the year I might be out of luck...

Have you looked at outdoor stores - cabela's or Columbia? Eddie Bauer outlet I'm not a featherweight, but I used to buy them there when I was a lot lighter!

Have a wonderful time planning and enjoying!

JCrew. I like their shorts that are inbetween the super short shorts and the bermuda-style shorts.

I've also had luck at LOFT.

I buy mine at Marshall's/TJ Maxx, Walmart, Target etc but I have no luck finding any with longer inseams. Cruise is exciting - I'm going to the FL Keys in 10 days and I am probably going to opt for dresses...

I like Old Navy because they have shorts with all different inseam lengths. And they're printed right on the tag. I love that.

I only have a few pairs of shorts, but I got them at Ann Taylor last summer.

The higher end department stores (Nordstroms, Saks) should carry swim wear and shorts all year because of the vacationing crowds.

Have a great a trip!

I think you'll have the best luck right now at stores like TJ Maxx, Kohls, etc. They generally have a much wider variety of things and aren't so seasonal. Even Old Navy and some of those types of stores probably wouldn't have much of a selection right now.

The smaller stores that I normally shop at (mall stores such as Express, etc.) aren't going to carry much right now because they're also so seasonal, and anything they do have will be like sequined or something!

As someone mentioned above J Crew has great shorts. I especially like the chino style. They come in different lengths too

I am going to have to check out all of the suggestions. I haven't worn shorts in forever , unless u count the hubbys boxers.
Anyway where are u going for your cruise? I want to start a savings account to take the kids on a cruise. Ha ha they will probably be in college by then.

National parker – I have looked in a couple of the outdoor stores as they seem to have shorts year round where I am. I think my problem is that I’m still curvy and the more “rugged” shorts just don’t look right one me. I bought my favorite pair of khaki shorts at Eddie Bauer two summers ago and they are now too big! Unfortunately they no longer carry that style. Maybe I’ll have them taken in.

Emurph / maymarza – For some reason I always seem to overlook JCrew. I’ll give them another look this weekend.

Krampus – I’m planning on TJ Maxx and Marshalls this weekend and I am actually leaning towards dresses now too.

Thanks everyone! I think I have my work cut out for me this weekend. I’ll have the malls and parking lots to myself while everyone else is watching the Super Bowl! (Well, maybe I’ll be home by gametime…)

Chubbiegurl – I’m headed to the Bahamas, Curacao and Aruba out of Ft. Lauderdale.
