Did you see what I did? I did it all by myself (blonde and all) Hope I did it all right?

It's supper time, but I will be back in a bit to see if anyone has noticed. And far be it that I start a new thread and not post...that is a rule right?:D

Hugs to ya

I guess those jello shots didn't kill too many brain cells...good job, Sandy!

I'm leaving for the gym now. Kickboxing @ 7.

See you later.

I was looking is this catalog and there are NASCAR wind chimes...for:
Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt

I think a protest is in order here for #20 !!!

Day two at the job was good. The owner came in and told me to find some pictures for my wall and he would pay for them. This is getting scary!

Hello, seeing Lucky's post reminded me of something. Tina, I don't know if you sew, but there is this great site that has Nascar fabric called Biker Bedding. If you want the actual address I can send it to you. I just got one of their newsletters and saw they had Nascar fabric and thought of you. ;)

Hey Gals!
I told you I'd be back. Was a pretty good day here, but I am so tired! I spent the day in a computer class - which was actually pretty good -- it was for a graphic design software. I learned quite a bit, but it threw my schedule off a little. Now I'll have a lot to catch up on tomorrow. I was able to get home a little earlier than normal and fit in my exercise and dinner at a decent time. We just watched American Idol. Now a few minutes here and then I am off to bed.

I talked to my mom for a bit tonight. I can't wait to see my family. Less than two weeks!!! I only get to see them 2-3 times a year, so it's a very special time for me. I can't wait to see if she notices the weight loss. :^: Jeff was so sweet tonight --- he walked in from work and I was in the kitchen in a big tee shirt and exercise pants. He said "stop, let me look at you". Then he told me that he is seeing a big change in me. Made me feel great. He is not much in the romance department, but some days the littlest things make all the difference in the world!
I missed an awful lot today, and I can't catch up with everyone, but I'll try a few replies...

Michelle --- What a small world! I am right next to Aston. We must get together when you come down for one of you cig shopping trips. I won't be around for your next one. We are out of town the 17th - 25th. But maybe the next one. Birthday party at Chuckee Cheese -- you brave soul! I don't have children yet, but we went there with some friends and their kids not long ago and we all about lost our minds. It's so much fun, but crazy! :hyper:

Deon - I hope you are feeling better! :headache:

Thin - Sending hugs and happy thoughts your way during this difficult time.

2Cute - Have a great time with your daughter --- looking forward to your return next week. :)

Tracy - Cartwheels??? wow! I am impressed. I consider myself fairly flexible, but I draw the line at splits and cartwheels!
I'm not sure how many calories Pilates burns, it's more for toning and stretching, but it sure works the muscles. I combine it with cardio. Tonight I did 1 mile on the treadmill, then about 20 minutes of pilates and some weights for the arms. I have to mix things up a bit because I easily get bored. I have been thinking aobut the TaeBo tapes or maybe Zumba --- has anyone tried that?? They had them on QVC the other night and it looked like fun. Oh - the Pilates for Dummies tape was only about $7 at Target, so it may be worth a try.

Speaking of tapes -- I still have a copy of the Oprah tape here -- if anyone wants me to mail it out, just let me know.

Tina - I haven't seen any news today. I hope you are safe and sound! :crossed: I've been trying to get into the exercise thing and doing a pretty good job. It sounds like you enjoy the WATP tapes, I was also thinking about trying them. I just can't decide on anything. I've been trying to get myself to do a short workout in the morning to wake my body up and I thought the 1 mile tape might be good, but I just can't get it going in the morning. As it is I get up at 5:30am everyday and I'd have to get up even earlier. Ugh!

Steph - good job getting to Curves again today! :cp:

Lucky, Kat, Sara, Amanda, Mary, Sandy, Jiffy, Pam (still there?), Lori, and anyone else I missed --- sending you all hugs and happy thoughts :goodvibes.

I need to sign off for now and get some beauty sleep (I need all I can get). :p

Talk to you tomorrow!
Barb :)

I went to the gym! I had intentions of taking the Kickboxing class, when my daughter told me there is also a Latin Dance class at the same time...I thought maybe that would be better suited to someone of my...ahem...size/age. (fat/45) I got there and saw a slew of old ladies (the blue haired kind!) going into that class and just couldn't bring myself to go. I'm sure it's a great work out, low impact and all, but I needed some major calorie burning, So I kickboxed instead. I'm glad i did. I was definitely the fattest one in the class and could not do all the moves.(Once upon a time that would have bothered me). The kicks and punches I'm fine with, but when she starts hopping and jumping, I do all the arm stuff and just march in place. Or modify it somehow to suit my capabilities. There were even men in the class. And skinny little chicks. And an array of young and middle aged, chubby and not, in-betweeners. A good mix. AND...I may have been the fattest, but I was NOT the most uncoordinated! (whew) I'm glad I went. There was a time when I would think, "OH I can't do that!! People will see how fat I am!" I guess somewhere along the way I have realized that "they" can see how fat I am ANYWAY! At least I'll be a fatty who's doing something about it! Anyway...I sweated my hiney off and felt great afterwards. After the class, I spent about 15 minutes doing upper body weights, then some stretching. When I got home from the gym, I had a half hour to kill before I had to pick up my son from scouts...so I walked the dog over to the school where they meet, and my son and I had a nice walk home together. It takes about 15 minutes each way. So I feel REAL good today. :strong:

My husband and I are both off for the next week. I don't go back to work til next Wednesday night!!!!
:cb: :cp:  :dancer: :cloud9:

You may be seeing a lot of me. ;)

Be afraid...be very afraid...........................

To all that asked: I am located in McKeesport, PA, about 13 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

We have thunderstorms supposedly coming tonight to our area  ! Noah likes to sit in the window and watch them, as Tigger runs under the couch and stays there for hours at the first clap of thunder:lol:

Glad everyone like my pistachio fluff receipe...WARNING: It can get addicting!:dizzy: :D

Here is another receipe for sweet teeth without the consequences of sugar I found in one of my low-sugar cookbooks:

Fruit Shortcakes

1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup cold butter or margerine (I use the Blue Bonnet Light)

1/2 cup milk (I use Super Skim)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 teaspoon water

1 cup sliced strawberries

1 cup diced peaches

2 tablespoons low sugar strawberry spread

2 tablespoons unsweetened apple juice

Cool Whip Lite or Cool Whip Fat Free

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Combine flour, salt and baking powder in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk and vanilla and mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Knead gently 10 times on lightly floured surface. Roll or pat out to 1/2 inch thickness; cut with 3 inch cookie cutter (I have a glass of the same diameter that also works). Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Beat egg and water lightly; brush lightly over dough. Bake 12-14 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly on wire racks.

While shortcakes are baking, combine strawberries, peaches, apple juice and strawberry spread and let stand at room temperature for 15 minutes. Split warm shortcakes and spread 1 tablespoon of Cool Whip, then add 1 tablespoon fruit mixture, top with Cool Whip, then replace with tops of shortcakes. Garnish with Cool Whip and strawberries. Makes 6 servings.

BE WARNED: One of these are filling! Though they only 7 grams of fat in these, they are 511 calories

For diabetics, the exchange rate is: 2 starch/bread, 6 1/3 fat, and 1 fruit.

05-07-2003, 07:29 AM
Kat: :strong: :jig: you go girl!!! You exauhsted me just reading all that you did. Congrats on the boxing class, and I think I would have done the same thing. You are the woman of the day!!!

Lori: I've had that pistaccio one in a gram cracker crust before...so good and true so addicting. The fruit one sounds good too but I looked it up on the pts slider and OMG it said I would be comsuming like 10 or 11 pts....scared me, but I still kept the recipe and maybe on a free day I can have it?

Does anyone else freek when the points are high on something? I mean if I have to pull that slider out and turn it over to the other side I find myself automatically saying NO NO NO. Must be in my head?

Here it is 6:18 a.m and I am up all alone in the house with all of you and my coffee...Ok some of you are still asleep, but it's nice here without the kids yelling and hubby needing something. This, I think is my favorite time of the day, but in about 5 minutes I have to wake the kids up to get ready for school.

Tina: Where are you? I told you to keep us informed of whats going on there in Tenn. Again my prayers are with you, I hope this reaches you and your family safe!

Barb: getting closer to the date.....I know they will notice your weight loss, how can they not? And what a compliment from hubby.

Last week my hubby said to me "have you been writting in your food journal? And are you keeping track of your points anymore?"
:fr: I freeked out on the man. I took this as a woman you know, as him calling me fat, which my dear hubby would never ever in a million years do. He tried to apologize and explain what he ment but I was not hearing a thing. What he was trying to say was that for the past 13-14 weeks I have done so well and been so excited about this and then Easter came and I just kinda fell apart. And it was showing in my mood and in my voice and happiness that I was not totally on my plan. I love the man, but well you know a womans feelings get hurt fast!!! I tried to explain this to him. Then in the next breath he says lets go for ice cream, I pack the kiddos in the car and we take them to the ice cream stand and I get the 2 kids their twists and hubby wanted a twist with choco jimmies. I came back to the car empty handed~~he said wheres yours? I said 'I DONT WANT IT' Yes, I was lying......but he made me feel bad about myself. I'm over it now, and completly back on plan as of Monday....I have my little notebook right here at the puter that I write all my bites in and am true to everysingle thing. I went for a small walk yesterday. Now I need to pop on over to my food journal on journaling to success? and keep up to date on it.

And of course I will be leaning on you all, but I will be getting smaller so I won't knock you over:D . Oh one more thing I finally did~~~in the back of my book I took my measurements and wrote them down so in a few weeks or a month I can go see again (Loris trick)

Luv ya all,

05-07-2003, 08:38 AM
I know that is no excuse, but its the only one I have. Everything in my life seems out of control and I dont know how to regain that control. I have been very sick, Natasha (dd) has been sick, and things between me and Justin have been stressed. I am so out of control of everything in my life. There is alot of things I'm not able to control, but some are like my weight. So, here I come crawling back to this board again, seeking support and advice. I hope I'm welcome back.

Good Morning chickies
How are all my lovlies today?

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. Work at the Library is hectic right now. We are getting ready for summer reading and in the future headquarters are going to be inventoring all the books and tapes. The tapes have to be put in Dewey Decimel order so that means you know who has to put spine labels on the ones that don't have them, in addition to my other chores.

I had DAR meeting yesterday and printed, stapled and mailed 55 newsletters for my genealogical society. We have that meeting on Sat. Also I have been elected to be Vice President to the Mississippi Genealogical Society in our capital city. It is a huge honor but that means that I have to choose programs for two years and be cordorinator of the yearly seminar.:fr:

Food has not been good lately. I love to eat . I went to the fruit stand yesterday and bought some fresh tomatoes. I had tomato sandwiches last night, with fat free mayo on low carb bread. they were wonderful.

I can't reply to everyone but know I love all of you . I have thought about getting the WATP tapes or the Zumba ones. Does any of you have the WW start up booklets they want to let me borrow. It costs so much to join. I tried WW years ago before they started doing points, in the early 80's.

Well I better run I have to shower and get dressed for work. We are expecting thunder storms today. So far we have missed the real bad stuff this time.
 :grouphug:

05-07-2003, 09:21 AM
Sunny shiney morning everyone.
I too am awake but no coffee for me.

Aradia... Of course you are welcomed back. Glad to see you. :)
Life sometimes is just not fair... but we have to learn to live it. Well some of it.. we can learn to change the way eat... even though we can't change that some people don't seem to have this eating problem like we do.

Kat... way to go girl !!!! I sure got a "kick" out of your post as well as inspiration !!!!

Sandy... alone, first thing in the morning is nice. :) Ahhhh

Mary... I was going to ask you about your genology stuff.
One of the items I recieved of my parents things was an oil painting by my great- great- grandfather. How do I go about looking up info on him ?? He lived in Germany. I can't wait to pass it down to my grandchildren... it will be their great - great- great- great grandfather. :dizzy:

Barb... I did get to see Oparah's tape finally last night.
I know that Thin wanted it too. If no one else wants it I will buy it and save it for future inspiration. The main message I got from it was..... "GET OFF MY BUTT AND DOING SOMETHING... NOW"

Lori... that recipe looks 2good2Bgood4u. LOL :T

Amanda... good to see you !! Do you like to sew ???

Lucky... I think your ship has come in with this new job. :lucky:
I am sooo happy for you. You sound sooo "IMPORTANT !!!" :D

Okay ladies.. I am going before anyone wakes up.
Have a great day !!!!

05-07-2003, 09:26 AM

2cute, and Thinthinker, HOW ARE YOU?? LONG TIME NO HEAR!!

I have been trying to get back into the swing of things over the last month, after HAVING A BABY!

I've had a little girl, Rebecca, and am now back on the weight loss wagon. I even managed to lose a bit of weight whilst pregnant!

Hi to all the members here. I don't think I know anyone else, but I used to come in quite a bit about a year ago.

Hope that I can join in and say hi occasionally!

Chow! :D

05-07-2003, 09:33 AM

05-07-2003, 10:12 AM
Good Morning Ladies!
I hope everyone's day is getting off to a good start. No complaints here. I actually got up and did a mile on the treadmill before starting in on work. It's easier for me to do that on Wednesdays because I work from my home. Since I normally have an hour commute to work I use that hour for exercise, getting laundry started and what not. And, I don't even have to put on makeup! :) So, it's looking like a pretty good day here. Other than it's foggy and yucky out.

Kat - What a night you had! I am so proud of you!! Sounds like you are making a major breakthrough! :cb:

Lori - I don't think we could be much futher apart and still in the same state. You are at one end and I'm at the extreme opposite. The recipe sounds yummy, but I think I'll save it for a special occassion. :chef:

Sandy - Yes, I do the same thing with the high point items. I hate to eat anything that is on the back side of the WW points card. Husbands are not always tactful with what they say. I find that statements come out of their mouths before their brain realizes what they are saying. But, good for you passing up the ice cream. But, you shouldn't do that because you feel bad about yourself. You should do it because you feel good about your decisions. I take measurements as well. I love to see the results on paper.

Aradia - WELCOME BACK! I wondered where you went. I am so sorry to hear about the illness and stress in your life. You can regain control! Don't try to do everything at one. Take it one step at a time! And, when you need a shoulder to cry on, someone to complain to, someone to talk to, etc. --- we are all here!!!

Mary - You have been quite a busy gal! Congrats on the VP position! :high:

2cute - good to see you around this lovely Wednesday morning. Anything exciting on the agenda with your daughter today?

Lynee - Congratulations on the birth of your daughter!!! I am fairly new around here and love it!! I look forward to getting to know you. :)

05-07-2003, 10:20 AM
Lynne congrats on the baby

05-07-2003, 10:42 AM
First off, welcome back Aradia and Lynne. Congrats on your baby girl.
Mary- boy I never realized how much work goes into a library. Congrats on your Vp status. I know you be wonderful.
Barb- good job on gettibg your exercise in
2Cute- I'm glad you got some inspiration from the Oprah tape. It did the same for me
Sandy- sorry the hubby made you feel bad. They just don't think sometimes about how we take things they say. My hubby can be like that too at times. I try not to let it get to me.
Lori- wow that recipe packs a lot of calories. We are expecting thunderstorms here as well later on.
Kat- you go girl. Kickboxing sounds like so much fun. Hope you have a fun vacation from work.
Lucky- that job of yours sounds awesome. What do you do exactly?
Tina- hope you are doing ok with all the horrible tornadoes. Let us know, we worry about you.
If I

05-07-2003, 10:46 AM
Ok, I got cut off. What I was going to say was, if I missed anyone I am sorry. Today was another Curves day for me. I have so much more energy. I actually do a slow jog on the platforms now instead of walking. I really try to give it my all. After each weigh in and measure they hang a doily on the wall with your name and how many pounds and inches you lost. I think that is so cool. I can't wait until the 28th to see how much I lost for the month inch wise. Well gotta go. I'll be back later.

05-07-2003, 01:37 PM
i'm at work and can't do a long post, but wanted to check in. and there's a very interesting thread in the 100+ club asking about whether to increase the time or intensity on the treadmill... lots of talk about heart rates and fat burn.

more later, i hope.

keep up the good work, ladies, and the great attitudes.

05-07-2003, 02:04 PM
Hey Everyone -
Just stopped in for a quick peek on everyone while I am taking a break for lunch.

Steph - Good Job on yet another day a Curves. You've really got the hang of this thing they call Exercise!

Jiffy - I saw that thread about the treadmill. I've been wondering the same thing myself. I have been trying to do a little of both --- increasing time and speed. I need to figure out my target heart rate, I haven't paid much attention to that.

Have a great afternoon - see you later.

05-07-2003, 02:13 PM
Oh good grief, it is RAINING! Thunderstorms are also expected  So much for going for a walk.....

Well, everyone, it looks like we are also expecting rain and storms this coming Friday 5/9--so much for my photo shoot. I am in the process of getting it rescheduled for next Friday, 5/16. Let's hope the weather is better then!!!:crossed:

Tonight is our tenant council meeting, so in addition to doing a load of laundry, I had to set up for the meeting, and go over the minutes from the last meeting. Also, it is my month to serve the refreshments, so I made the fruit shortcakes (and eating very lightly today so I can have one tonight ;) )

05-07-2003, 03:06 PM
Thanks, Jiffy! That was interesting. I guess, at this point, for me, just doing something, anything, is better than what I have been doing! BTW, I just noticed that you are a Jersey girl too! What exit? 117 here.

I'm just popping in for a minute...dh is coming home today, so I want to spruce things up a bit around here. He's been gone since Sunday...golfing in Ocean City, MD with my BIL. Early Father's Day gift. Four days is too long!!

Sandy...I think that your man is very perceptive! What he was trying to say was that for the past 13-14 weeks I have done so well and been so excited about this and then Easter came and I just kinda fell apart. And it was showing in my mood and in my voice and happiness that I was not totally on my plan. Anything untrue about that? Be very honest with yourself and throw out those insecure, self doubting feelings. I think your anger with him was really anger with yourself...you are doing great, so focus on that!! And give him a hug for being so tuned into your moods. (mine would have suggested ice cream as a way to cheer me up too!) The last time we went, however, I had them make me a rootbeer float with ff/sf vanilla yogurt and diet root beer! :T

Lucky...Since the new boss is so generous, tell him you need a young, handsome stud for your assistant...

Thin, I never got a chance to congratulate you on your son's graduation! I know you are a proud mom!

2cute...I know you're having fun with your daughter. You two sound like my daughter and I. We're very close, I'm starting to miss her already and she's not even gone yet! Just thinking about her going to college gives me palpitations...that could be the tuition though!

Steph...you are doing so well with Curves, you're making me miss it! I do love my gym though. I like the variety... Keep it up girl!

Barb...I think I'm going to pop over to Target for "Pilates for Dummies," thanks to you! Sounds good. I bought myself some Pilates tape for Christmas, but it is only instructional...no routines...I guess I'm supposed to buy that tape seperately. It did come with bands and a mat though, so I can use them. I had taken a class at the gym and loved it...you definitely feel muscles that you had no idea were there!

Tracy...I love the TaeBo video! That is a good, quick, sweaty workout! Keep up the good work!

Mary...I was wondering where you had gone...you are one busy woman! That tomato sandwich sounds so good...can't wait til we have some decent tomatoes around here for that very thing!

Welcome back, Lynne and Aradia! Congratulations on your baby girl, Lynne!

Aradia...do not crawl back to this board. Hold your head up high, shoulders back, chest out and walk proudly to us! That you can control. Now, give yourself a hug. You've come to the right place.

Tina...I hope that you are safe and secure. Please keep us posted. {{{hug}}}

Michelle...how is the "Y?" Are you getting to use it? Do they have babysitting for Andrew? Is August good for you? Early August might be the best time for me. Or early July. We'll be away from 7/19-26. Barb, Steph, Jiffy, too, if you'd like to join us! Let's start planning our get together.
won't the other girls be JEALOUS?

Sara, darling...pop in and let us know how you're doing!

I think I got everyone on this thread and then some...sorry if I missed you!

Gotta run...I need to cut the grass before the rain comes...again. To those of you affected by all this horrible weather, please take care and know you are in our prayers.

05-07-2003, 03:17 PM
oh katrina!!!! you're cute!!! i'm a bit north of you... the easiest exit is 153B, but that still leaves a 10-mile drive north and west!

05-07-2003, 03:24 PM
How is everyone today? I am doing great! As I sit here I am feeling sore around the middle and it feels good. That Taebo yesterday must have done its job. I plan on doing it again in just a bit and I think I will do a little weight training this evening.

Ok just wanted to check in!

Tina- Where are you???

05-07-2003, 04:14 PM
Hi girls,
The day has been really busy, I didn't even get to sneak on and take a peek at work.:( The day started really foggy and wet here but the sun has tried to pop out all day. We are getting rain tomorrow though, think its on the way from down there!!! Yuck!!

Kat: Boy my hubby would love the idea of you sticking up for him. And, yes you and he were both right, I was upset with myself for not having the gumpsion I had at the start. I think I refound it though, because today is Wed. and I am still on plan.

Tracey: good for you and the Tabeo....I wanna do that too, once I loose some of what I got already.

Kat and Jiffy: I'm only about 5 or 6 hours from you all!!!

Lori: Sorry about your photo shoot, better luck next friday.

Barb: wow exercise first thing in the a.m. you go girl....I like to have coffee and wake up first.

Mary: Hello, it is Sandy and Mary night in chat is it not?:D Maybe some others can find time to pop in and bless us with their presence???? LOL shhhhhh..........they might learn our secrets.

Aradia: Welcome back, please post more.

lynne: Congrats on the baby :cp:

Steph: I love the sound of curve. We are a small town small community, we don't have anything like that. A long time ago we used to have a place called Slender You? I remember my mom used to go a long long time ago, it was machines that worked your body? I head a commercial on tv the other day, but missed seeing it so I don't know where on earth it is or even it the tv was on a local station? Anyway, good for you for sticking too it and let us know how many inches you loose.

Tina: I don't know if I should yell at you to get you a$$ back in here and post or if I should cry cause you can't. I'm in hopes it is the yelling part and that you will post very very soon. We pray that all is okay with you and the family and that the tornadoes have missed you.

2cute: Is it still sunny? Please send some this way, I hate when the days are dreary.

Well, I think I got to everyone on this thread. If I forgot it was not intentional, cause I even went back and looked:eek:

Luv ya all,

05-07-2003, 04:16 PM
Well ladies,
I haven't done anything productive yet, I had to come check the boards you know. I have to do major spring cleaning. (I got really behind while I was in school) Then I have to do major rearranging and sew some curtains because I am getting a new computer on Friday. Yeah!!!! I just have webtv now and it isn't very good for school so vocational rehabilitation got me a new Gateway system I just have to go pick it up on Friday. :) I'm very excited, once I get that system I will join you in chat. I can't chat in the 3 fat chicks room with the webtv. I will be able to do so much more when I get it.
Suggestion: Whoever starts the next thread, would you put the time and day that everyone meets in chat? I would never know when to go there. Also, is it the general room?

Okay, this is the first time I'm going to do individual replies, so bear with me if I forget someone. (It is not deliberate)
2Cute: Hope you are having a good time with your daughter today.
Kat: I wish I could get that motivated about exercise. Way to go.
Lucky: Sounds like your new job is great. Hope you get that hunky assistant.
Barb: I'm sure your family will see the difference.
Lori: You are the recipe queen. Watch on Sunday I'm going to give you guys my carrot cake recipe. My hubby says it is the best he's ever had. It has almost no fat but I don't have a complete calorie work up on it.
Sandy: I totally sympathize about your experience with your hubby. My hubby has concluded he can't say anything about my weight except you're looking good otherwise I fly off the handle.
Aradia: I don't know you, but welcome back.
Mary:Congrats on the VP position. My mom has studied our geneology a bit, but I can't remember everything she tells me. (I need the our Family chart for dummies.)
Lynne: I don't know you, but welcome back and congrats on your daughter.
Barb: Sounds like you enjoy working at home.
Steph: They have a Curves over by the college (60 miles away) you are making me think more seriously about joining it.
Jiffy: Hello, hope you are having a great day.
Tina: Hope everything is okay.

Well, ladies I hope everything is going good for everyone. Again I'm sorry if I missed you. See you again soon.

Hi guys! I just got finished with doing TaeBo. I feel so good right now sweat and all. Must be those endorphins I have heard so much about ;)

Sandy I do not belong to Curves YET but I am planning on joining as soon as I get a little extra cash. You can go to www.curvesforwomen.com and look for the closest one to you.

I am soooo stressed the last few months. My 8 year old has started to act like a monster. Sometimes I feel like I am at my wit's end with him. I am thinking of getting him involved in some kind of anger management program. I have tried taking away priviledges and spankings but nothing is working. He has even started yelling at and backtalking his dad and he never dared do that before. I swear I could wring his little neck some days. Where is my sweet little boy? I hate having to be mad at him all the time. I am really starting to think that he has a problem. Sorry to be upbeat and then dump this on ya but we were just argueing yet again and I needed to vent.

See ya in a while,

First of all, let me say I am SO sorry for worrying you guys, but it has been so rough here. My cable and internet have been down all day and I was just able to get on. Today and tomorrow are my off days, so I wasn't even able to access you guys from work. I wasn't going to let you guys sit and stress though...I was giving my internet till 8:00 to come up and if it didn't, I was calling my friend at work and having her access my email and send the ones of you I have an email for, a message so you could let everybody know I was ok. So far so good...we've not been hit by any tornadoes, but they are all around us and flooding is trememdous. School was called off today and tomorrow. It figures though. I get two days off and I'm stuck with the kids. :p Just kidding...we actually had a pretty good day today.

Last night, was a different story however. :yikes: I was on the computer and the wind was blowing so hard, it blew the backyard door open and the dog came running in. He was running all over the place and I was trying to catch him and he was wet and muddy and trying to shake the water off and made a complete mess. It took me forever to clean up all the water and mud. It stormed so bad last night....the lightning and thunder were amazing. I hope everyone else is ok. I'm sorry I can't do individual replies right now, because I'm afraid my internet will go down again and I still won't be able to post. Just know I love you ALL, welcome to the newbies and old timers that have come back and I will see you as soon as I can. :grouphug:

Food & water still ok. Exercise--great!

Love you!
