Default Thai food - what is " safe " to eat

We have been invited to a new friends house for dinner next weekend. His wife is from Thailand and is going to be making some of her traditional dishes.

I am so excited as they are lovely people and I have heard that her cooking is amazing. My dilemma is that I don't know much about Thai food and not sure what excess carbs might be hidden in the dishes.

Any ideas of what " good" choices to make and what foods to avoid?

veggie & protein dishes.. they do eat noodles which you should stay away from.. and some of the curries also have coconut milk in them (some hidden carbs) other then that you are safe. Mmm peanut sauce..
