PRESCHOOL that is.

My little man (who I was not even pregnant until well after I joined 3FC) is officially starting tomorrow.

Advice on how *I* can cope with this???? I still imagine him as a wee baby. He's already had a trial day and loved it, no time for me

Will you pack a snack or lunch for him? Why not write him a little note on a post-it to stick on/in his lunch box?

Since he's in preschool, use pictures. I'm sure he'll love his little notes from you. Whether it's a note saying you love him, or a picture of a car or a horse or....a rocket ship? anything at all.

Besides, think of all the time you'll have now to do other things. That way, you can do your boring errands and stuff while he's in school, and have special time with him after school. Win-win!

Good luck, hang in there.

My sister is a pre-school teacher, and on the first day of school she always reads her students "Llama Llama Misses Momma" about a little llamas first day of school. It's one of her favorite children's books. It might be too late to find it before Monday, but it might be something good for him to read to think about how he might deal with his feelings if he starts to miss you during the day.

As far as how you will deal with it? Maybe you could spend the time his first day away by planning him some kind of special first day of school night with his favorite foods and fun games you can play together. I know keeping myself busy helps it when I miss some one, and doing something special for some one makes me feel excited rather than down.

thanks girls!! We took photos this morning but he had no interest in hugs (he is very independent).

At least I have a 10 week old who still wants me haha.

It's not easy But he loves it so much.
