Default Strength Training Question

Hey everyone!

Just completed Day 4 of my awesome workout DVD at 6:30 am- woo!! This never happens! I've got a question about strength training, however.

Ultimately, is it better to keep up with the video and do 10 half-assed lunges/planks/whatever, or to do 3 'perfect' ones so that you better practice the technique and develop good habits?

I imagine quality is better than quantity when it comes to strength training, but I felt bad what I was still on # 3 and Jillian Michaels is all "OKAY NEXT CIRCUIT!"

Thanks!

Well I think the DVDs such as Jillians are trying to get your heart rate up so they may go faster. Until you get better at it, you'll be slower but I'd recommend pausing the DVD and finishing. I know it'll take longer but it is better to get them in than not.

Always use good form. You'll get faster with time and most likely you'll get faster just doing a few moves correctly, over doing multiple "half-assed" moves. Don't try to keep up with the people on the video, they are in excellent shape. Go at your own pace.
