guamvixen, fitbyforty, getmydivaback3 ...Thank you very much, hearing things like this are really motivating!!

Yes, I've felt like a new person since day one and I no longer suffer severe migraines.

Thank you...but I really haven't exercised. I choose to park far from entrances, take the stairs, move throughout the day..instead of sitting on the couch like I use to. Once in a while I ride my exercise bike..but I go weeks in between. I found on the times that I do heavy exercise, my body holds onto weight and water...I'm waiting until I reach my goal...then I'm hitting some heavy weight training.

A lot of people tell me that. They guess me between 160-170. I'm 5'9" and have a large frame. I also carry most of my weight evenly so maybe that helps. :-) Thank you!!

Awesome transformation! Thanks so much for sharing!

I am so jealous of your pictures, I was too sad and scared to take pictures before. It's like I wanted to pretend it wasn't true (plus I was so afraid of failing). You are truly an inspiration! And your current picture is so pretty. :)

01-04-2013, 01:04 PM
Thank you very much!! I was so ashamed to take those pictures...but I knew someday I would look at them and need my own inspiration on my accomplishments. You can still take some until you reach your goal...never to late to start anything I say lol. I never thought I would be posting them for anyone to see...that's for sure!!!!! I'm still very embarrassed about the before and current pictures. I posted them in hopes to inspire someone else out there and let them see that it's possible to be severely morbidly obese and lose weight. I sure didn't think in June that I would be over 119lbs less by the new year!! I really thought it would take me years to achieve that. Thank you for the nice compliments. It's funny how good these forums can make you feel!!

What have you done to lose weight? I count calories and exercise sporadically and I've only lost 30 lbs in a year. I'm determined to lose 100 lbs this year. I need some help!

02-05-2013, 10:05 PM
Wow. Just wow! You look so fantastic, seriously inspiring. I think I am built quite similar to you so it's amazing to get a sneak preview of what my transformation might look like :) Keep it up, you are awesome.

I found this cool blog of a women who lost 158 lbs with gastric bypass surgery. She's now an advocate for trying to get health insurance companies to cover the cost of that surgery. But here you are proving that you can do it on your own without such drastic measures!

The blog is still really cool and I've become a follower on facebook. She loves to cook so it's chock full of great high-protein mini-meals and desserts/snacks that I plan on incorporating into my diet once I'm in maintenance, and the little portions are perfect for my kids as well. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting these pictures. I've been taking pictures of myself each month, and I weigh a lot more than you do at your heaviest. The pictures are depressing, but being able to see your progression helps me to realize that I'll look a lot different in a couple of years! Thanks for sharing.

I'm still very embarrassed about the before and current pictures. I posted them in hopes to inspire someone else out there and let them see that it's possible to be severely morbidly obese and lose weight.

Keylani, I've recently joined 3FC and have been looking at as many photos as I can find because they are inspirational. I'm going to take my own photos. At the moment, I would be embarrassed for anyone to see them. But, once the weight is gone, I hope like you, I can post them and inspire others.

For what it's worth, I never think, "Ewww, gross" when looking at the before pictures (apart from my own). I focus on the progress pictures and think things like "amazing", "well done", "haven't they come a long way!" & "wonder if I'll be able to do it" and I sincerely thank people for showing people like me who are starting out on their journey, that it is possible!!

You are an inspiration ... and have a gorgeous smile!!

12-08-2013, 11:31 AM
Keylani, you should not be embarassed about how far you've come, your pics inspire and encourage many, including me! I'm a tall girl like you,I like to look at before/afters of women who are built like me so I can say ok, that's what I can look like, yes! Congrats to you, your hard work paid off!! :)
