Any march chicks wanna join me for a birthday challenge?

I've got ten weeks to drop roughly 20lbs.

Anyone else wanna celebrate their birthday a few pounds lighter?

Woooo you go girl, I can tell by your ticker you've been doing an amazing job, You can definitely drop the 20 by your birthday. My birthday is coming up Feb 2nd and my goal is to lose 10 pounds by then (get down to 260) . What have you been finding helpful so far with your weight loss? 26 lbs since oct is awesome!

I am in......will try to lose maximum before / by my b'de which falls in the first week of March.

Haven't decided on the target yet, but will definitely try to aim to be in the mid 180's at least.....

How about tracking our daily activities and diet here that will help us in achieving our mini March goal and also stay accountable? This should also include times we cheated on the diet. Also the weigh ins?? How often do you weigh?? Right now I do it everyday.

Seeing no progress so far even after working out and watching food portions..........

I worked out today, day four in my new regime. But sadly my weight has been up the last four days as well. I'm at 220 lbs this morning :-(

Same here....

Actually was too embarrassed to state the increase in weight even after working out like crazy :o

Its not a major increase, just had reached 204.2 when this thread was started. Today I am 205.3....Have been exercising regularly (more than an hr. at the gym) since the 4th of Jan. (Not yesterday as the gym is closed every Monday)

Lets see.......... maybe tomorrow will be a new day

I bought a green and white Banana Republic shirt today at the Goodwill Store for a whopping $2.50 (still had the $34.95 original tag on it!) that I want to wear for St. Patrick's Day. I'll probably have to be as close to 200 as I can to pull it off (I mean put it on lol). Can I join your birthday challenge and just skip the cake??

I did great there today. It was half off yellow tags so if it didn't have a yellow tag, I wouldn't buy it lol.

I got a Ralph Lauren Chaps shirt, a size 18 Old Navy pair of Jeans, the Banana Republic shirt and a Susan Graver sparkly purple tanktop all for $2.50 each. I was so excited!! None of it fits of course but they will soon!

Mozzy - Wow. WTG. Mine hasn't budged at all. Went to the gym again. Did cardio for half an hour. And later weight training. This was the first time ever for me. My limbs are practically useless. I can not raise my arm at all and can't feel my legs. In all, slogged off for 1.5 hours in the gym. I am even eating right since yesterday and drinking lots and lots of water but weight loss..NADA!! :?:

elvislover324 - Welcome. What cool bargains!! My closet is full with "smaller size clothing" which I have purchased hoping to fit me in the very near future. Well, they have accumulated over the past so many years. So no more shopping for me. I need to buy new clothes though which fit me right now. Hope to get a good deal.

Mozzy - Just think that you have no other option. You know what is currently working for me!! I think "I will go today and take a break tomorrow instead" Think of this every time. That tomorrow will never come. Or else, just think that it is better to get it done with or feel guilty the entire day. And the scales are not helping either. Come on, Mozzy!! You can do it :carrot:

Imagine yourself wearing your birthday dress being 20lbs lighter. March is fast approaching. Let's go for it!! You will feel so much better once you just finish today's work out

I am on plan as well. Went to the gym, ate right, did everything that had to be done. But the scale seems to be damn pissed wit me. No change in the weight. As if I am taking no efforts :shrug:

You ladies are doing great!! I only weigh-in on Mondays at my doctor's office so I will be sure to post my progress then.

I hung my St. Paddy's Goodwill top in my closet for inspiration and thought of you all when I did! I love being an unofficial March chick with you ladies!

elvislover324 - Even I was thinking of weighing in once a week as no weight loss was frustrating me a lot..still, was too tempted to go for it again, And guess what, I lost another half a pound :dance:

Mozz - Good girl, Mozzy!! Even I am on plan today. Had just a little slip yesterday, not much though!!

Gals, as of today, I am 204lbs :dance: :dance:

(Hope all this virtual dancing will help me shed some more in real :p)

Hubby's b day is in march, so I will join. Should be well into maintaining and trying to tone but this will give me a challenge to look forward too! So hopping to be satisfied when I lose 6 more lbs. but never know. I was 13 lbs lighter in highschool so I may realize at goal that it was just a mini goal. Best of luck to everyone

I stayed on plan today and exercised, but I'm starting to get pissy. I need a woosh or something, my motivation is waning....

Mozzy : ohh!! Is it your TOM or something? is your scale calibrated, do you weigh.keeping the scale at approx. the same place, and during the same time of the day?? May be you are loosing inches. Dnt worry, its just a set back. Stick to what you are doing, you will be fine. All the best

Down 3 more pounds this morning since last Monday! I'm so excited, I felt so fat this morning. Do you all feel like that sometimes? Nothing had changed on me (and then I found out I did indeed lose weight last week) but I just felt fat.

But then someone called me skinny after my weigh-in so all was good in the world again!

Well, I hit 201 lbs today...actually 200.8 but would like to round it off :carrot: Sorry for not posting for a long time. Have been super busy this entire week

For my birthday, I would love to be anywhere below 190 lbs!! So I have set my mini birthday goal to 189 lbs or lower....

I got a query. How much does one need to lose to drop a dress size??

For me to drop a dress size I'm looking at about 15-20lbs at my current weight.
But I've heard the smaller you are, 5-10lbs is a dress size.

I know I am heavier than you but it's about 25lbs between sizes at the moment so I would think yours would be about 10lbs now, so happy for you!!

Hey gals...I still am very busy at work even right has been a headache, lterally!! but just dropped in to give you all a good news...................

MY SCALE SHOWED 199.1lbs TODAY :dancer:

I just couldn't believe it so weighed more than 3-4 times..and it showed the same!!! Onderland, here I am!!

Thank you all for your support :grouphug:..was dying to tell you gals..I know its just 6lbs loss since my start weight but suddenly 130 doesn't seem impossible any more

My weigh-in yesterday I was down 3.2lbs for a new weight of 230.4! So close to the 220s and almost breaking 100 lost!!

Wore a pair of 18w jeans yesterday, life is good!

It was a super lazy week for me..had this Saturday off after a very long time (I work on Saturdays as well :( )..haven't exercised, didn't weigh in, was just lying in the house like an old cow..on a good note, stayed OP food-wise..let's see what the scales have to show tomorrow..not expecting a loss, but don't wanna gain..

BTW, all us March chicks haven't yet shared our birth dates...Lets do that

Mine is on 5th...which is so evident from my ticker for you gals ... LOL!!

I am so mad, I didn't make it!! I only lost 1.8lbs this week so I am at 99.4lbs even though 3FC's calculator rounds up! This is the lowest week I have had on my diet so I am spitting nails. It's every time I "need" to lose a certain amount to get to a goal my body freaks out and says no way! At least I'll have something to look forward to next week!

And I am not a March baby, but my dog Elvis is! His is March 24th (hence my name, elvislover324!). I piggy-backed on Mozzy's challenge as I needed a March follow-up to my Valentine's challenge. I didn't want to just be left out in the wind! Mozzy is awesome, said I could join. :)

It's weigh-in day. I lost another 2# this week for a total loss in January of 10#. :cheer3: I'm going to start exercising in February which may slow things down a tad, but I'm looking forward to some great workouts.

Hola people,

Sorry had completely disappeared for a while. Hey, missed you girls!! But was so busy with work that completely lost track of the weight loss. Haven't been to the gym since the 2nd of Feb!! And won't make it till next week. The crazy schedule, thankfully, also did not allow me to binge, so no weight gain. In fact happy that I am down more than a pound without trying. Still, don't think can reach my birthday goal :mad: Mozzy, can we swap our birth dates please :p

I'm down another 3.8lbs this week which is a miracle. I ate so much last week but all of it was on plan, didn't cheat once and wasn't even tempted! ETA---I plan on being a 2-teener next week, just so you all know!

Appy, I can share March 24th with you. :) Or we can make this a true March challenge and take it to Easter Sunday which is March 31!

I am changing my Valentine's Ticker to Mozzy's March Challenge or something like that after Thursday! I hope I make my challenge goal there, I have to lose .6lbs by Thursday!

Logging in just to congratulate you all......

Have my moot court exams this week, plus practicals....and the work is just piling up. No exercise from 4th..sticking to diet plan since last week but not able to lose a single pound..guess I need to exercise anyhow..hopefully will manage by next week.. But sure I cant reach my goal now ...well I haven't put on at least!!!
