I found this little tidbit on Ralp Marston's daily motivation site and it really hit home with me. I think I need me a "to do" list. :)

If what you care about most is just getting through the day with as little effort as possible, that is exactly what will happen. If you truly care about getting specific things accomplished, then those things will indeed be done.

What you care about is evidenced not so much by what you say, but by what actions you actually take. Take a look around at the life you've fashioned for yourself, and you'll be able to easily see the things you truly care about.

Pay close attention to, and be aware of, what you care about most. Because that is what will happen for you.

Hooray! Hooray! The first of May!
The outdoor ****ing starts today!

Sorry but I couldn't resist that old verse from my past. It's rather wet and rainy here this morning but it's still Spring! The lawns that have been raked are looking good. On the negative side, it's back to eight muddy paw season with the Girls.

Harry and I had a nice dinner at Eastside Marios. It was really busy and very noisy. It seems everyone had their kids with them or was celebrating a birthday with adult beverages! I had a pasta dish, bad choice, but didn't eat it all. It was Kung Pao chicken served on noodles and came with chopsticks. Didja ever eat noodles with chopsticks? The server said they were just for "garnish" and was amazed that I used them. It was so nice to go to town just for dinner, not for a WallyWorld or grocery shop. I hate getting home and having to unload stuff.

It's great to see the lurkers come out of lurkdom. We were getting a wee bit worried. Now get in here and post, Chickies, even a  will do.

Have to go do my Journal and then get the day cranked up. Have a good one!

Good morning everyone, Nora, good to see you posting!! That was a great thought provoking statement. I have been meaning to start a journal to keep up with this chaotic brain of mine, guess I better start a "to-do" list, too!

Going to be a lazy day at work today, I hate that! Makes the time drag for some reason, no matter how much there is to do, it isn't quite what I'm looking for to keep me busy. Oh, to be independently wealthy!! This spring weather makes me want to roam in the flower beds or walk on the beach, instead of having my head buried in some musty file. :nono: Can't complain about work! I do too much of that.

As you can all see, I am caffeine deprived, off for another cuppa, and talk to you soon!

Morning,

I am knee deep in socks this morning. I have been putting off pairing them up hoping the kids would do it the million times i have asked...but alas I have to do it. I also have to get my things together for my meeting in Deerfield MA tomorrow and my quickie trip to NY to see my new niece. I can't wait. the batteries are charged for the camera and i am ready to give her a big hug an kiss!
have a good day ladies and keep modivated.

Just to let you know, I have not lost a pound in more than 2 years, but youall keep me going to the gym and modivated enough to not sit in front of the TV everyday eating everything in sight.

I feel kind of..umm...what's the word? Merged?!

Good morning everyone--wet and rainy this morning, a perfect day to play with friends at the drop in center.

Had a pity party all to myself yesterday as I festered in anger over my 2 pound gain. I had been really good this month--I mean better than I had ever been and I gained 2 stinkin' pounds! Well, dh and his magical words. He told me that one of the ladies he works with saw me at the plant entrance talking to dh and she asked him if I was on a special diet or anything because I really look good! Ok, totally took the fire out of me and now I am more determined to get it back together and not let it bother me. This too shall pass, yes?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Well, April was worse than January at the store......and thats pretty bad. So I sat there yesterday, sold 3, count em "3" popcorn on the cobs, and thought and thought and thought. I think too much sometimes, but at least I was able to turn it off and get to sleep last night. Im sure the benadryl helped too :D

Anyway, I think Ive come up with a plan, if nothing else it will get alot of "free" stock in the store, and build [hopefully] alot of traffic. We are going to launch our first annual (hopefully we will be open next year to have our 2nd) Summer Showcase Project. Aimed at local artisans of all media, to bring in their work, we will showcase it (make a small commission on anything sold) and we will feature one artist a week from June til August. I need some unbiased feedback. Hubby thinks its agreat idea, but thats hubby and he loves me :) He knows how upset Ive been over the lack of traffic on the street.

Pooky, your hubby sounds like a dear....he said just the right thing at the right time. Remember, us pcos'ers loose weight very very slow....and remember that you have been doing alot of garden work, Im sure their is some new muscle tone happening there too. Get out your measuring tape, and start measuring. Ive been known to loose 3 or 4 inches, and not loose a lb.

L ...think the kids would mind if you just tossed their unmatched socks in their drawers?? :s: Mind you if it was my daughter, she thinks wearing unmatched socks is cool

Sherry....good to see you back!!! Remember, we may make it look easy, but its a struggle every single day. Ive been off plan more since easter than on, but I know that if I dont post here, my binging would be out of control. For what ever reason, this place keeps me in check.

Ok, I think Ive rambled on enough.....have a great day ladies!!

Good Morning Ladies!:D

So glad to see some old friends re-emerge--it is so hard isn't it? I was in lurkdom last month, and getting back on track as far as posting takes a little work:^: but it is well worth it! I look forward to my time on here everyday, to laugh, and sympathize, and find sympathy with this great group of chickies!:grouphug:

Ok -my allergies are here full force this week, so Robin I am with you on the Benedryl! Your plan sounds like a winner, I am sure there are quite a few unique stores around here that I just don't go into unless there is an occasion-so what better way to have an occasion than to creat one! Keep us updated!
Pooky-for once I'm glad your husband took the wind out of your sails so to speak! How many times have you told us not to look at the scales, but your clothes?? Well take your own advice sister!:p
L-what is it with the socks with no home? I have a drawer full of them, and let me tell you the girls and Dh are running low on socks with matches--I wish I knew where they went! I could make some money selling that secret!
Sherrie and Nora-WELCOME BACK!!
Well Ladies I know some of you do not approve of the ketostix but let me tell you, after only 3 days OP I am back in ketosis! I have been swimming in all the water that I am drinking, and I have limited myself to one diet pepsi and 1/2 cup of coffee a day, so I do not think I am dehydrated-just in fat burnuing mode ( I hope!!)
Well, I may start a journal here today--so I'll close this post now!

:cb: Do the happy dance with me??? :cb:

Went to the doctor today, he thinks I have shingles. I think not, so he investigates further and says, you may be right. However, I don't really know what it is, so take these pills and call me in 10 days if it doesn't go away. Thanks a lot.

The good news came on the way out. I passed the scale and since it's been a few months, I'm brave enough to step up. And found out that in December I weighed 237 and today I weigh 212!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck happened? I've been eating crappy and not exercising like I should, shame on me. I think it's the meds I'm on. Hey, I'll take it! I knew my clothes were getting looser, but not to the tune of 25 pounds! Yay!

Hope ya'll are having a great day too, and may a great surprise come your way.

WTG Sherrie!!!! :cp: That number can make or break us--unfortunatly we rely on those results to much--Great accomplishment-and with out even knowing it!!

Well, I know you all (or some of you) log your food into fitday.com, I still have the same problem with it though--The carbs come out to high!! No really-like I put down 1 cup of broccoli and cheese-the bag I got it out of says 5 carbs/3 fiber--when I logged it into fitday it keeps giving me 14 carbs for that---GRRRRR.....

Well it was a balmy 80 degrees here today with expected thunderstorms-I can say one thing for the heat-I don't get nearly as hungry-and consume a gob more water!:D DD had a softball game, and when I just came in I downed another 24 oz of water-then went to make supper--I had a sausage patty with sauerkraut on it, and that broccoli and cheese--normally I would have ate 2 sausages -but tonight only one--YEEEAAAA!!
Still have not braved the scales yt.....

have a great night all!!
