Default New to WW

Good morning! I am just diving in here hoping for some support. I have lost weight numerous times but can't ever keep it off! I have calorie counted, worked out 7 days a week, and most recently lost 63 pounds doing Ideal Protein. That was a mistake! As soon as I phased off I gained weight instantly. I am now almost at square one again, not quite and I am not weighing in officially yet, and it's time to gain control.

I decided to just order an at home points plus kit because I like doing things on my own. The money I dropped on that should be motivation enough to keep it up. So, I will be leaning on you for the support I would get if I was attending meetings. (There isn't any close to me really anyway.)

Until I get my kit I will be just watching portions and cutting the crap. I am so excited to start something I can actually incorporate into my everyday life. I felt so boxed in on Ideal and this will feel so much better, even if I am more restricted.

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Welcome to Weight Watchers!

There are no food restrictions with WW. You just have to plan a moderate amount into your day. You will love this plan because you can eat like a real person. Be sure to read your materials closely and then read them again so you understand everything. And ask all the questions you want here. You'll get plenty of help.

Good luck! I just restarted WW. They are awesome! The first time I went I ended up loosing 98 pounds. There is no fade out, it is a life style change and it is doable! However, I would suggest meetings because they are awesome support, but if there is not one close I would call the number and see if they would be willing to get one started! GL

Hello Its about time
I lost 32 lbs on Ideal Protein and phased off, but as soon as I started any amount of carbs, I gained it all back. I am very depressed and feel like the rollercoaster is getting to me. Good Luck to you, I will check in on you bella

Welcome back! I'm sorry you gained your weight back, I know that is hard! That's one of the things that I love about WW. It is flexible and can be tailored to any way that you want to eat for the rest of your life. Good luck!!

Hello Fellow South Dakota Girl!

I just started Weight Watchers too. The online tools are super cool. LOVE the barcode scanner.

What kinds of ideas do you have for activity? As you know, it's freakin' FREEZING up here right now!

I just restarted WW as well. I lost about 60 pounds on it the first time and then stopped and gained it all back. It's a good program, and it really does work. Good luck!

I also did Ideal Protein, and gained most of it back. I have been contemplating going back on it, but I don't want to stop exercising and I think I might have been very irritable and a tad bit depressed on IP. So, I'm looking into WW as a more sensible alternative.

Hey! Oh my goodness! It is so nice to see you here. Well, maybe not under these circumstances, but still, nice to see a familiar face You and I are in the same situation. I wasn't very active on the IP boards, but I totally remember you & your success on IP. Nice to know we're not alone. I just cancelled my subscriptions to IP and came in to check out the WW boards, your post is the VERY FIRST post I read! Crazy! I had just reached 70 lbs lost on IP and then I lost my momentum, went out for sushi one day, splurged at a wedding another day, and that was it for me! I'm such an 'all or nothing' dieter which is bad, I know, so I'm hoping THIS TIME, WW(been here before too) will teach me that it is truly a lifestyle change! Also, I love how WW encourages exercise! My friends are sad for me and my yo-yoing so they are supper supportive of WW and look forward to recipe exchanges and exercising together! Yay us! We can do this! We will do this! Especially with all the support here on this forum!

I am thanking you all in advance as well! I feel like this is the right place to be! I am going to my first meeting and initial weigh-in on Wednesday!

2013 is the year to get er done!

I just rejoined as well, and wish I was in the US! Our apps are terrible, but I did it before without the apps and was successful, so here I go again!

Hi everyone, I am thinking about joining weight watchers but didn't have the time to go to the meetings so I thought about doing it online. Does anyone have any experience with the weight watchers online? Can someone weigh in on the pros and cons? I have someone that will weigh me every week, I was just wondering if it was worth it?

Hi there, I also have done the IP and gained it all back .... so depressing. I'm thinking of doing WW but debating if I want to do online or meetings. I wish that people who decide to go to meetings would have access to online tools as well without the extra cost!! The only thing....do i have the willpower to do it on my own!!

Welcome. I'm not very active on the WW board here, but I can tell you it works. I've lost 59.2 pounds and kept it off for 16 months now.

I go to meetings, and get free etools as a lifetime at goal member. I also strength train 3 times a week and walk as well.

What I love is you can eat anything you want as long as you account for it within the plan!
