Default Isn't it amazing how we kid ourselves....!

After 4 months of what I thought was a huge effort on my part to lose weight, I am not one pound lighter. I have been keeping a food diary since I started, and when I looked back at what I have been doing all this time today, I was shocked. I am actually only good until mid-week, and terrible at the weekends.

I was so sure that I had been trying really hard that I thought I must have some kind of weight-retaining disease! My mind remembers the wheat-free muesli and soy milk I had at breakfast, but conveniently forgets the chips and snacks at dinner! And I go to bed congratulating howgood i have been!!

Anyone else fallen into this trap? I must remember that this is a 24/7 commitment...

First of all, congratulations on the progress you have already made! From your stats, it looks as if you are half way there.

If being at the weight that is right for us and feeling good in our skin were easy, everyone would be there. WE MUST WANT THIS FOR OURSELVES! Not to be attractive to the opposite sex, not to compete with others, not for an event. It has to come from within, and it is a decision that we make, not a feeling.

You have what it takes to reach your goal and to stay there! Just take it a step at a time. I try to tell myself when I resist temptation that THAT IS THE MOMENT I AM GETTING RID OF FAT.

Look in the mirror every morning and say, "I DESERVE TO BE THIN!"

Love,
carree
