Have a wonderful Friday!

Second day out of town went great! Had 3 IP packets, lots of lettuce/veggies, and then super fresh and delicious ahi tuna with cukes and tomatoes (my first since starting IP) and a salad for dinner. So far so good!

I have two very casual Christmas parties tonight and tomorrow night but they'll be very crowded and no one will care about what I'm eating or drinking. Even if they do, I'm getting quite good at saying I'm on a highly restricted diet and leaving it at that. (Some people are interested in the details since they're looking to lose weight, too!)

Me, too! And I have a my stepson's family coming for the week with 4 kids under the age of 7. Then this weekend the two charity boards that I am on decided to hold meetings, one is scheduled for all day Saturday. Why would they do that now?!? I'm cruising for gifts online, but that takes a lot of time also. Sigh

Good Morning Incredible Shrinkers!

Nitney and Fishette: Good Luck!!!

Bubble Blower: Great job!!! I am impressed. Incentive for the rest of us traveling soon!

I had some trouble with the diet the last few days. My dr. had me go off Phase 1 for 3 days and I quit early and went back to phase 1. Lisa gave me a great tip about the enzymes, but then I realized I didn't take the IP Enzymes during that time off because I thought of them as Phase 1 supplements. -Will take them next time! Anyway, SO GLAD to be back on. Felt awful off!!!

We are unexpectedly going to be out of town from 12/25-1/4. I wasn't too worried about holiday traveling on the diet because trips would be short. I think I am going to just have the foods shipped directly to our destination and only bring enough to supplement that.

Plan to start incorporating Alternatives today. There are so many posts in the Alternatives info that I get a bit lost (Thank goodness for the new thread!) And I have notes from when I first started sorting through all the Alternative info.

I wish everyone the very best today! Sometimes I find this support such a strong force that when I consider a "cheat" I think, I don't want to have to go tell 3FC and let them down. We are all in this together!

Let's go make healthy and happy days!

I don't like to use the "My Fitness Journal" so I have been entering everything into "My Fitness Pal" on my computer and iPhone App. It makes it much easier...at least for me!

Holidays can be stressful, especially with everyone asking you question why you are not eating...I found the perfect response for me. I simply say "I'm on a medically controlled diet." They understand and pressure me anymore.

WELCOME ABOARD!!!!!! THe hardest part of this diet is starting and the first week, then you should be good!! Congrats on starting right before the holidays!!!

I'm struggling this week. TOM came after 6 month of nothing....then hit fast and hit hard!!!!!! OMG it was brutal. And I've got the holiday blues a bit....kinda feeling sorry for myself although I know I shouldn't!!! I made myself an IP travel bag like Rainbow's it's awesome!!! I thought that would help me focus through the holidays, but yesterday I had a slip up. :(

I'm back in the saddle this morning!! I got my addition Elle online order and the size 16 jeans I ordered to wear in another 20 or so pounds fit!!!!!!! :carrot::carrot: it's definitely the boost I needed to pull me outta my slump and refocus again on what I want here!!! I am sooooo ready to get this done and get on with maintenance. So as USMVET says: MY FOCUS NEED MORE FOCUS

Welcome Texan!

Hi Ragdoll!

Kay, I had to go back and read what I missed. I am so sorry!!! Take care of you. Then you'll be able to take care of everyone and everything else. (NOT to make your problems about me, but I have a son who had similar experiences, unconsciousness, seizures, etc., and we were so blessed and lucky that it worked out well for him. If you ever need to chat, vent, ask, etc, feel free to PM me.) You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated!

Maezy, I am still so tickled that we were probably sitting next to each other in traffic that morning!

I had good news from my doctor today! She'll let me stay on IP for at least 3 more weeks, AND we'll do the next "3 days off" as Phase 2, instead. And Lisa, you were right. I'll be taking the enzymes during that as well!

Thanks for all you do to share and motivate and support!!!

A1Texan - great job!
KAY - wow, impressed....Im keeping the prayers coming for that adorable son of yours!
LIBERTYBELLE - started my alternatives today. the maple brown sugar oatmeal from proti diet tastes just like the real thing and it is unrestricted! I felt like I was cheating!

Having a great day today. Woke up a little too early when my son txted at 3:48am to tell me he had the wrong time for his friend's flight. It wasn't 6am it was 6pm so he wouldn't be home until around 5:30pm. He was supposed to be on the road at 3:30am...yes my heart was pounding....seriously, did he have to call SO EARLY to tell me that there was a 12 hour difference???? Guess who's gonna get woken up tomorrow early!!!! yup, my dearest son!!!!!

Oh boy, don't even want to think about the list of Christmas stuff I have to get done tomorrow! Finally got the playroom cleaned so that I could more the toys OUT of the living room and make space for our tree, but now comes the fun of decorating, finding and putting up the tree, and keeping my rambunctious boys from breaking anything :)

Someone posted earlier this week that one of the strategies they use to remain focused is to write the # of lbs left to lose on their wrist. I just want to THANK whoever that was! This is brilliant, so simple and yet so effective. When I am at work I can periodically come here and read through the posts, I'm focused and I stay on track (plus I don't have anything tempting in my fridge at work lol) When I go home I forget about the challenges and sometimes I slip up. Now with my "lbs to go" written on the base of my palm...anytime I reach for something I shouldn't, I see it...and I pull my hand back. It's the perfect way to find focus when I am stress eating!

Hi Everyone :)
Weigh in tomorrow. No cheats this week (as usual), but still have no idea if I dropped anything. I seem to be dropping lbs but not inches.
Anyways today at work, they handed out shirts w/ our work logo. They gave me a medium. (We didn't get to pick).
I felt kinda nice that they think I wear that (I still am in XL) lol :)

Day 3 OP. Everything is going well and I am so pleased. I am a little stressed though because I have a Christmas party to go to tonight. Already making plans about that... no alcohol/no potatoes/no bread/no desert. BUT, I know I am having a salad and steak so that should be yummy!

Tomorrow will be challenging, too. I will be tailgating and attending the PA state playoff game with our local football team. I am still trying to plan how I will handle that one :?: I guess I will have my main meal at lunch time... pack a big salad with chicken - and an IP drink? It's just going to be hard to bypass the chips, burgers, hot dogs, and beer. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Have a GREAT day!

If you are interested, take a look at www.fatsecret.com. There is an app. and I am able to track my progress, print out meal calendars for my coach each week, and they have several progress graphs. I love it. All the IP foods are loaded to the search. Good luck to you.

You can make some zuchini or kale chips to bring along too. Sometimes I make muffins from the oatmeal or cookies from the shake mix to bring with when I have an event where there will be lots of food.

I'm in my 3rd week now, lost 8.4 lbs, and feeling pretty good until today. I'm stressed over some life issues and feeling that emotional eating come into my mind. I keep thinking that no amount of food is quick gratification is worth the last 2 weeks I've been on the protocal, the 8.4 lbs I've lost, and joy I feel for sustaining a better way of eating and changing my life.

Did i read that correct ... 4 under 7!! I can barely handle a single 2yo! And not even close to finishing my gift list ... let alone Christmas Cards

I started IP this past Monday and have my first visitor with my coach this afternoon. I'm excited because I feel like I've made headway.

I drove through Round Rock on my way from Dallas to SA today! Glad to see another Texan! You guys totally rock IP, looking forward to hearing about your awesome WIs to come! I just started tracking my food in Phase 4, its a GREAT habit to start early, so insightful!

WI today with a loss of 3.2 lbs. So excited! Stayed OP through all the stress of the last two days. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for my son. He is doing great this morning. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Omg ... barely catching up but I am SOOOOOOOO HAPPY to hear you are well and your son is okay. And just a bonus... what an Fing rocking WI after going through the ringer!

I keep thinking that no amount of food is quick gratification is worth the last 2 weeks I've been on the protocal, the 8.4 lbs I've lost, and joy I feel for sustaining a better way of eating and changing my life.

Power through this! We have your back! This protocol is strict, but simple - and IP does bring your food issues smack in your face. And btw...congrats on the loss, keep going!

I did'nt think I was going to be able to do this diet as I am not the type of person who has been able to stick with a diet. Now after my weigh in today (week#6) I am down 30# and 18.5 inches, I am finding it easier than ever before.

Hmmmmm....30lb, 6 weeks...sounds like another manly rockstar showing! I also had never really 'stuck' with a diet, but you really get in a groove. Ketosis is a dieters gift that makes it soooo much easier, plus you get to have chocolate & stuff!
