Also, I've finally been started on metformin for insulin resistance and if I don't stay on plan, the prescription will be all for naught.

Oh, and I'm setting an example to my mother, whom I've FINALLY been able to go swimming with me 3x a week (her doctor has been suggesting it for TWELVE years!).

Meeting by goal weight puts be closer to getting my Mommy Makeover or whatever surgery or treatments I will do after this phase of my journey is complete.
I already am envisioning my flat smooth tummy and since I have an incision from prior surgery that needs a revision this will work out well.

All of your reasons here are so inspiring, I swear I smiled and nodded at every single one saying "yes, I want that too." :)

I am hoping to be in the 230s (i.e. 239.9) before New Year's Eve. It's just over 12lbs in 3 1/2 weeks, a huge goal to conquer. But a great incentive to work my butt off and eat right for the rest of the year!

Because I'm losing weight with my Aunt who is not only 20+ years older than me but weighs 40lbs less than I do and she's STILL kicking my butt when it comes to dropping the lbs. I promised I'd beat her this week & I can only do that if I stay on track everyday which includes today.
Also there's only 4 more hours before I go to bed and the day is over. I'm not blowing this day just when the end is in sight.

And because this morning LOL my boss emailed and said she would like for me to be one who is in the video if I was okay with it. We were told yesterday (by the upper manager) that we could say "no" but I was glad today that I did not have to tell my boss I did not want to do it. :)

Because I just got the update from my surgeon I have been "slaving" so hard to reach around 230 pounds for... and when I walked in the door the receptionist could not believe it and just kept looking at me. And the surgeon was very pleased and said "Good job" - new goals and he wants to see me in two months.

Because I used to end up wearing my black fleece jacket (Seattle style LOL) just about all the time... even when I was roasting hot... to try to hide my gigantic boobs and ugly fat clothes. Now I make sure I take OFF the fleece so my pretty clothes show. And yes, I still have way too much of the boobs, but I have a plan (and suregeon) to take care of that when the time is right.

Because years ago I bought a gorgeous purple jacket at a thrift store. It was a size "L" and 'way too small except in my hopes and dreams LOL. I have never been able to wear it. A while back I got it out and it was tight but I could have worn it barely. I just now got it out to see if I could wear it to our Christmas Eve service... and it fits and is plenty big enough!!! Yay

Because I am taking the disabled bench out of my shower!!! (I have degenerative arthritis in one hip but have decided that with my decreased weight I can handle it... I shower at the gym most of the time anyway, and can do it without the bench now if I need to.)
