Default Weight Loss and Favourite Clothes?

I have been any weight from about 170 to 230 in my university years. At 170 I actually looked pretty good and had some cute clothes, heck, even now at 200 I have some cute clothes. My fiance recently bought me two shirts that I know will last me the next 20 lbs or so (I store much of my weight in my thighs and hips) but my goal is FIFTEEN POUNDS lighter than my lightest weight, obviously some of my clothes will be too big.

Can I tailor clothes that I want to keep? Has anyone done this who could give me an estimate of how much it would cost me to tailor them?

Hi Kat! I live in Estevan. We're practically neighbors!

It depends on the quality and the cut of the fabric. I would suggest visiting a seamstress and asking for both opinion and price.

I have had clothes tailored after I was at goal, only a few as it is costly but worth it if it is something you really love.

Maybe you can find a friend with a sewing machine who can help you. Or get a couple of sewing books out of the library and see if any of it looks something you can learn to do. My DIL took a bunch of stuff to have tailored a while back and not only was it expensive, most of it was easy to do.
