Morning all. I am now down 25.6 lbs. what a huge difference I feel in clothes and overall health. I plan on taking off another 15 then going on maintenance. I will be in a comfortable size 12 which is a good size for me. I am a slow loser but losing nonetheless!

Yay! You are inspiring others....way to go!!!! Since we're both in BR we should do Thanksgiving together and share our IP recipes.....lol! I am actually hostessing this year, but plan on having my own sides done separately just for me....I'm planning on SUCCEEDING....not failing!

On a different note - kind of bummed. Got on the scale this morning, and since Monday, am only down .3 pounds....grrrrr. Hoping that when I go in on Monday for my W4 WI, scale will have moved. Seems a bit early in the program for my weight loss to start stalling....maybe should add some walking into the program?? Suggestions?????

Hi everyone!

I'm down 15 lbs total so far (in 5 weeks). No one has said anything to me about if I've lost weight. I hope they are not commenting because they don't think they should, not because I don't look any different I'm going to have my hubby take a pic. today and post it later so yall can tell me if you see it!
Be back later with a picture!

It took 35lbs before anyone commented on my loss (aside from my fiance). I think it's just one of those things that people aren't sure if they should mention. :-)

Combining families would be a hoot!!! I have to host Christmas dinner and I have already told my DH that we either have baked taters for everyone or he will have to make the mashed taters. I don't even want to deal with it. I also make this unbelievably delicious cheesecake every year. Well they are gonna have to go with store bought this year. Again don't want to deal with it. The thing takes a lb of butter, ricotta, cream cheese, sour cream and 4 cups of sugar!

It's actually VERY common to have a slow week in week 3 or 4 - especially if you saw some big numbers in week 1 and 2. Your body has to adjust along the way, and you will see high weeks and low weeks all through the process. Don't start overanalyzing until the scale doesn't move for a few WEEKS, not days

NSV sort of.... I changed my ticker (sadly, having to add weight ON--sigh). I have been off-plan and have put on (gulp) almost 10 pounds since my lowest weight in September. I was avoiding doing it for so long since I hoped I'd be back to that weight "next week"... I think acknowledging that this is where I am at TODAY and making plans to move forward is a good step back on plan. I put a "heart" ticker there as I want to be on maintenance by Valentine's day, but also as a 'visual' to me to keep making heart healthy choices. And I left my Can Can man as my visual "kick in the butt" if I need it! LOL. Have a good day everyone! As Arnie would say: "I'm baaa-aaa--ck"

You and Wuv will love this Scorbett -- my scale battery has just died today so I really CAN'T weigh in daily. I've decided NOT to buy a new one and do my weigh ins only at the clinic so I'm not worrying about what the scale says everyday! So now it's just a ...giant door stop or paperweight I guess

Good Morning! It is a very snowy morning here in Wyoming and I am loving it. I get to pick up my Bountiful Basket today and can't wait to see what veggies are in there for me and what fruits are in there for my kids. We have a big holiday feast at my school on Monday so today I am going to make Rainbows cheesy cauliflower tots so I can perfect them and make for Monday. I will also have a nice spice cake for my desert. I really think that people work with look forward to my lunches everyday. I get pretty creative with my salads because I eat one every day with my oil and vin. I julienne my veggies and mix them up every day so that I don't get too used to 1 veggie. My tip for the day: the prettier your salad it, the better it tastes and the more you want to eat. Happy Saturday!

stolaf: Wow, that is great. I can't wait to see a size 12. I have clothes my sister gave me in this size so that will be such a good feeling.

sstw1: I wouldn't worry about it (I know, easier said than done). Down is down. Also, I tend to drop weight in only one or two days and usually show the same weight 5 of the days.

Nolawhodatchick: you are doing Awesome! I don't think some people are comfortable saying anything. Also, I tend to lose inches and pounds at different times. A couple of weeks ago, I literally went down to my smaller size pants from the larger size in one day. It was so weird.

IP43: Hey, good for you for jumping on that scale and figuring this out before it was more than 10 lbs. This is a great victory and good luck. You can do this!

I have a busy weekend and I am really happy about it, because I finally feel good in my own skin right now. I was thinking about it at the movie last night as I was able to sit in my seat and COMFORTABLY cross my legs (in both directions, haha). I just feel so much better and not uncomfortable and embarrassed by my weight. This really makes me happy. Things are more fun without that burden. I still have a long way to go, but feeling so much better. Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks Alma for the support. You're right -- it's about the comfort and not the comfort of eating! I know I need to regroup because I don't feel "comfortable" anymore. I threw out my bigger pants when I lost weight, so now I'm squishing in to these new ones that were comfortable a month ago. I'm glad I don't have any of the next size up left in my closet! I will NOT leave the one hundreds ever again in my life! I'm glad my pants hurt today! To me from me (as I wouldn't say this to other people!) "Suck it up buttercup".
BTW Just enjoyed a pancake from my IP cereal. Gonna try the cauliflower ones next. mmmmm....

Reading about people gaining weight scares me.

If it is you, it is not that YOU scare me. It is that I scare me.
Weight has been an issue all of my adult life (looking back at my teen pics, I wasn't fat, just curvier than my stick-thin friends, but it contributed to my poor body-image).

I'm sure this is why I'm so adamant about staying 100%. I just don't trust myself. I'm not sure if I can have one bite, lick, or drink of anything off-plan without going hog-wild. It took me too long to get to a point where I could string more than a few days on ANY prescribed eating plan together. I HAVE had a few days that were borderline on-plan, mostly due to the chosen dinner protein (higher fat than on the sheet) and I also had a couple of days of more than 1 restricted. So I'm learning I am trustworthy to get back OP and I do my best every day with the choices I have.

I'm a teacher. When I returned to school this year, I didn't tell anyone I had started this plan. Mostly it was b/c I still didn't trust myself. I told someone in one of my social circles that I was on a diet and she said, "again?"

I just don't want that to be my life: Starting weight loss programs and not getting to goal, starting and re-starting diets b/c I cheated, never knowing what size clothes to buy because I'm never the same size from one season to the next.

I'm so glad you are all here. I really don't think I could have stuck with it without all of the recipe ideas, without all of the encouragement to stay OP and to be happy with ANY loss ("only" is a four-letter-word in relation to how much weight I lost in any given week)

I can easily look at the speed at which others are losing and if I'm not careful, I start comparing (of course, always looking at the people losing faster than me). I learned a LONG time ago not to compare my insides to someone else's outside. You all help me with that, as well.

This is a daily battle and a daily struggle.
All of you make it easier.
THAT. is why I keep hanging around here.
