Here am I!
I began this dvd a couple of days ago, but after a deep soreness to my right biceps (i couldn't be able to bend my arm at all :() yesterday was my rest day.
So today is going to be my 3rd day on Level 1 :D

Is there anyone who wants to join me in this journey?

Well, I did it. I got thru day 2. I still can't do as many pushups as they do but hopefully by the end I might. On the plus side, I feel more energized now that I am done. :)

Me too!
Today was my 5th workout day on level 1, i can't do yet all the cardio jumps and all the side abs (the ones that are at the end of level), plus i can't do all the arm lift during the side squats...
I decided to skip to the 2nd level only when i will be able to do all the lift and the cardio workout without troubles :)

I will join in! I just completed my 9th day with 30DS and I am loving it! It is definitely a challenge, I can do every strength move (modified push ups though) but have trouble with the cardio circuit where we do jumping jacks then jumping rope then repeat. My thighs always feel like jello during that part and I usually break for 3-5 seconds.

So I am going to go ahead and start level 2 tomorrow for my day 10! I'm excited and nervous for what's to come!

I also have trouble with the cardio jumps. I break down when they start with the jump rope. I try a little bit then switch to a little jog.

Can't wait to here about whats coming in level 2. Did you take a rest day or do you keep going? I haven't decided if I should.

I take my rest day on sundays, actually i rested only one sunday because i start the program few days ago.
I wanted to workout everyday, but about on the 2nd day i felt a huge soreness and pain in my right arm (biceps) due to 4lbs dumbells that i used for the lift:(
Now i'm using 1Kg milk boxes :smug:
Beware of heavy weights (just at the beginning);)

I have the same issue :(
I will start 2nd level only when i'll be able to do ALL the 1st level :^:

I completed day 2 and half. My front thights are killing me from yesterday so I didn't get a full workout in. I did the abs and weights but replaced all jumping with walking. Hopefully, my thighs will feel better tomorrow.

Let's keep going. We can do it.:D

6th workout day is done... FINALLY i'm able to do ALL the side crunches!!
But i can't do all the cardio exercises, especially the jumping jacks/rope jumps/butt kicks set :(

Savemykisses i'm looking forward to know you'll join us in this hard journey!

Just finished day 8 of level 1 over here! My goal is to complete all 3 levels in 30 consecutive days.

This is also the first day my dog hasn't wandered over and sat on my chest while I did crunches. :) I guess he's getting used to me jumping around and yelling at the TV and groaning on the floor.

Yeah! Finished Day 4 level 1. Still can't complete everything but I am getting better. I am also switching between 2 and 1 pound weights. My goal is to be able to do everything with the 2 pound weights. My thighs are doing much better. Still ache but not as painful as yesterday. Yesterday, I was in complete pain trying to sit or stand.

Savemykissesx and tamiam - I have same dog issues. :) Everytime I lay down for abs my dogs come over to try to play. I got lucky today and only 1 dog came by.

Crepesuzette - Great job in completing all the crunches. :carrot: That is a goal in itself. I'm surprised at how much I improved in 4 days already. But I agree with you. I will not move out of level 1 until I can complete it all.

Hey ladies!
I just finished my 7th day... but today i wasn't able to do all the side crunches :( but i used heavier weights (two 1.5liters water bottles instead of 1L milk boxes :D).
I did almost all the strenght circuits (except for some arm lift during side squats, IMO this exercise is the worst in all the workout)

I have a question: are you able to do the advanced workout done by Natalie?
I'm still on the semplified workout making push ups on my knees and lighter squats (my thighs are not parallel to the floor like Natalie's ones)...
Probably i'd better go on the next level only when (and if) i'll be able to do the advanced workout :?:

tamiam
11-11-2012, 12:28 PM
I can handle most of the advanced moves in the first level with no problem. Like you, I do stick with the knee version of push ups. But I get bored doing the same thing for too long, so I knew I'd need to move on to the next level at the end of these 10 days.

I don't see myself being able to do the advanced version of all the L2 plank exercises any time soon, but that's okay. Everything else was doable. Going forward, I plan to rotate 30DS with RI30 and Turbo Jam, so I should be strong enough for those advanced planks when I come back to it in a few months. :)

I finally get the 30 day shred. After doing it, I can't wait to "shred" my sweaty clothes.

I finished day 5 yesterday and day 6 today. I was going to take a rest day but felt energized and wanted to do it. I decided to watch level 2 to see what is coming. Yikes!!! I started to do some of the simpler exercises. I decided that I am going to do all level 1 plus bit and pieces of level 2. I'm hoping that this will help me prepare for level 2 and get better at level 1.

I am doing most of the beginner exercises.

Finished day 7 and still can't complete the entire thing. But I am still improving, I did 20 knee pushups today. My first day I only did about 5.

Can't wait to hear from those starting 3ds this week.

My experience with this:
Before exercise: Looking forward to it. Feel bad if I try to skip it.
During exercise: Hate it. Why am I doing this to myself?
After exercise: Feel energized and happy. Ready to do more.

Lol i got the same thoughts :D
Specially during the cardio jumps :stress:
Today was my 9th day, in theory tomorrow will be the last day on 1st Level but i think i will stay on it for another 4 or 5 days...

Finished Day 8 & 9 :carrot:

Day 8 did everything non-stop except for the second set of push-ups. I am amazed at how fast that I am improving.

Day 9 - still couldn't complete 2nd set of pushups but I used 2 lbs weight during the exercises. I know that is not as much as others but I'm working my way up.

Today, I couldn't help myself. I've been feeling so good and thinner that I checked everything. I've been dieting also so I can't give credit all to 30DS. But since starting, I lost 2 lbs. and 1 inch in waist, butt and thighs. :D

We can do it and this thread is really helping me stay on track.

Yay!!! I finished day 10 of level 1. :carrot: This is the first time that I ever completed something like this.

Now the hard question - when to go to level 2? I am huffing big time during level 1 even though I can now complete everything (minus 2nd set of pushups).

Suzette - I know you said 4 or 5 days more but is there a specific goal that you are trying for before going on to level 2.

Sorry but i didn't understand this sentence :o
If it is a question, my goal is to finish all the workout without stopping breathless before all the exercises are complete :(

Btw, today a friend of mine (that didn't meet me in a month) told me that my weight loss is evident :)
Well, actually a could have lost a couple kilos in a month and i dont think they are so evident, probably my 'shrinkage' is due to a sort of toning up of my body, thanks to 30 Days Shred.

What about you?
Somebody noticed any change in your body since you started the workout?

11-16-2012, 04:34 PM
You answered my question. I have not had anybody notice my changes yet. But I feel them myself so I am okay with that. It is great that others are starting to see the difference in you.

I finished day 11 on level 1. I am thinking about trying level 2 tomorrow. I know some say that it is harder but we will see. I am going to try it with 1 pound weights and work my way up.

Day 16 (L2, D6) complete! It's all downhill from here.

I am much better at walkout push ups and plank jacks than I was six days ago, but that last set of planks is way brutal. Overall, endurance is much improved.

NSV: My shirts are starting to fit better, and I can feel some definite muscle underneath the jiggle. :)

Tamiam - that's great :cp:

I decided to do level 2 today for the first time. I don't think that I did too bad. I did take a few breaks plus I only used 1 pound weights. The hardest part is holding all those plank positions. My shoulders are still shaking from it all. Definitely wear shoes while doing to prevent sliding when planking.

Ok, so I finally started the shred today and its a lot harder than I thought it was gonna be!

Didn't complete everything though the cardio is definitely my easiest part. It's so embarrassing to admit but I cannot, for the life of me, do a push-up; not even the beginners version! :(

Mixed thoughts about tomorrow's go but I'm gonna give it another shot

hiddenstar

Kymb92 - You can do it. Don't give up. My first 2 days were very painful. I couldn't even sit down or stand up with out being in extreme pain. But I stuck to it. After the initial pain, your body does get use to it and you improve everyday. I can't believe how much more endurance that I have now.

I just started level 2 and I feel like I am starting over with new aches. Just keep remembering the end goal.

Don't give up, try to do an easier version of push up, i.e. don't bend your elbows until you reach the floor with breasts but stop before, half-way through the movement ;)

Finished Level 2 Day 5. And I can't wait to get out of level 2. I hate all the plank exercises. I would rather do some other sort of torture. :dizzy: I guessing that it is much harder because I can't do a plank pushup. Still do them on my knees.

The good news is that I reached the half way point in the 30DS. :dancer:

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I hope that I have the willpower to avoid all the food and keep control.

CrepeSuzette
11-22-2012, 07:37 PM
How about your Thanksgiving?
I began the 2nd level this week, i have to admit that i like it much more than the 1st level (i can do all the planks but i'm struggling with arm lift with dumbells and palms upwards :()

CrepeSuzette
11-24-2012, 06:07 AM
Are you there?
I wish you didn't give up the 30DS! :)
I'm on 6th day - Level 2 today :carrot:

I'm still around. Things got busy with Thanksgiving and then the kids wanted to put out Christmas decorations. It took a few days to put things back in order.

However, I did keep up with 30DS. I am on day 9 of level 2. I did one rest day after Thanksgiving. I did well on Thanksgiving. I didn't count calories but I ate mostly veggies and I did have a small piece of pie. If I had to guess, I probably was at my maintenance calories for the day. Thanksgiving was a good break for me. I feel energized and ready to keep going.

I can't believe that I only have 1 day left at level 2. You must have more upper body strength than me if you can do all the planks. It's cool that we are past the half way point in this. Have you thought about what you are going to do next? I'm been trying to decide if I should restart 30DS from the beginning (with more weights) or to get a new video.

CrepeSuzette
11-26-2012, 07:41 PM
hiddenstar i can do planks but i hate the frontal lifts with weights (i can do only 4 or 5 lifts, after that i go on with 1 dumbell or in the worst case lifting only my arms without any weight :o)

Btw, i was thinking about begin the Ripped in 30 workout even though it seems quite more difficult than the 30DS.
I'm enjoying the toning of my upper arms/pectorals (that muscle just above the armpit, near the clavicule) so i decided to keep on working out ;)
I'd like to reduce also my thighs and butt, then few days ago i toke a look at Killer Buns and Thights workout... and i got frightened
It seems to be too advanced for me now...

hiddenstar
11-27-2012, 10:04 PM
I did it. :carrot: I completed Level 2 Day 10. I am so happy with myself for staying with it. Looking forward to level 3 tomorrow. Hopefully, less planks.

I've been thinking of repeating level 1 when I am done with level 3. See if I can do the more advance moves with heavy weights. But I'll have to check out Ripped and Killer Buns.

Today was my 9th day on Level 2, i'll stick to it until Saturday, then i will start Level 3 next week :)
These 2 weeks on Level 2 went by very quickly in comparison with the days spent on Level 1 (that i hated :dizzy:)

Finished day 2 with less rests. So that is encouraging. It really works the thighs.
