I desperately need to get back on track... I'd use my weight from my last official weigh in day (Sunday) but I weighed myself this morning and I was up, must be bloating because I really don't think it's fat, but I'll start there. Pretty sure I won't make 10 unless a miracle happens as I've lost 7lbs in Oct and 7lbs in September.

But I will still try my hardest :D 10lbs this month would take me to a healthy weight at last so it means a great deal to me. I would of course be happy with any loss though.

I want in on this as well. The first goal I set for myself was to get to 250 and I'm getting so close, but at my last weigh in I was back to 260. If I can get to 250 by December 1st that would be great, but it won't be easy for me with Thanksgiving coming up. I'm up for the challenge though. Good luck everyone :)

Why am I craving so much salt?!! Shrimp wonton soup yesterday in very salty broth and teriyaki salmon tonight for dinner. TOM is right around the corner and I'm at 201.8 today. Really hope I'm not up again tomorrow but could be bc of the salmon. I just want to be and STAY in onederland already!!

Okay ladies. I really need some help! I just CAN'T control my eating. This past week has been so unhealthy - I just feel so helpless when it comes to food. Do any of you have some words of wisdom or advice? I really DO want to lose those pounds.

Luffz I am right there with you. I have such a hard time with self control. Once I get started I just want more, more, more! I think Atkins was better for me because I lost the craving for carbs. The only carbs I had were low carb veggies. Now that I've added carbs back into my diet it's hard to control myself. That craving is back again and it's horrible. I'm not giving up on WW's, but I have to learn how to control my appetite. I have to stay on track and be a good example for my kids.

The scale was at 260 this morning so I still have 10 pounds to get to where I want to be by the end of the month. I just have to figure out a game plan for Thanksgiving.

Congrats on those losses some of you ladies are seeing already! That must be so motivating to see three pounds losses in one week.

I'm somewhat regretting the decision to not weigh for the first month. But I do think it'll be worth it when I go an entire month and get good habits established before facing the "I'm not losing enough/anything, so I may as well quit." that inevitably pops up.

I definately can tell that even in just 7 days I feel like I have more energy and in a way I just 'feel' healthier. Focusing on lots of vegetables and protien has been a huge help for me. So far craving have been very managable.

And I feel I have already learned some pretty valuable things about myself.

Breakfast breakfast breakfast breakfast. And within 1 hour of waking. Breakfast is a meal I used to not really feel like eating half the time, and when I did eat breakfast I wouldn't do so until I got hungry. On the program I'm following the author stresses eating with in one hour of waking up. I always felt that eating before you get hungry is just a waste and makes for higher calories. I have learned how wrong this is! Eating BEFORE I'm hungry has prevented me from falling into my old habits of big hugh carb/ fat meals in the middle of the day. And since I don't feel hungry I also don't feel like I really want any particular food item. This mean I eat my planned healthy veggies and protien filled smoothie. Then three hours later I have more veggies and a homemade protien bar. Then 3-4 hours later I eat my lunch which is a big salad and maybe soup or veggie chili. It just seems to much better not getting hungry before I eat. The craziest part is I have difficulty eating as many calories as I am shooting for. My plan is slow steady weight loss so my calorie goal is to eat the maintenece calories for a 5'10" woman at 155 lbs (my goal). It's 2040 calories and other than the first few days, it has gotten kinda hard to eat that many and avoid processed foods.

Anyways sorry for the long rant, but these are amazing moments of clarity for me and I really wanted to share. I'm excited about this program and really feel I am doing something I can do forever.

Still at 260 this morning. Congrats to all of you who are already losing. Hopefully my scale will start showing some weight loss soon. I need to make healthier choices for my meals instead of just going with the points/calorie count. More fruits and veggies to fill me up, that's my goal.

So I am a big fat liar. Today is the start of week 2 and I broke my 1 month no scale rule already :(. But I weighed 182.2! Which is super exciting to see 3lbs lost in one week. This is probably due to it being the first week. Which i know can be a big one for water weight etc.

I really cant get on the scale everyyday wagon just yet. Maybe I wll let myself weigh once a week..... Or I may try to make the rest of the month without breaking my own rules. But the good news here is that if I can lose alittle over two pounds a week for the rest of this month I can do the 10 lbs by Dec. 1st!

I'm down 3lbs so far. I am happy to have lost over the last few days as I've dined out three days in a row (birthday week celebrations!).

It pleases me to know that I can dine out and have fun yet make more sensible choices and still lose weight :D Yay for sensible eating.

My birthday 'treat' wasn't even over the top though - chicken breast, steamed veggies and 1/2 a portion of mash potato. I love my new attitude to food :carrot:

4.5lbs to go! But I'm taking it easy at the moment. Fainting at work is never good. It has nothing to do with dieting or weight loss though. From what I'm being told from people who have had their gallbladder issues it sounds exactly like what they had. Needless to say hopefully soon I should be able to get my butt into a doctor. It's just finding a doctor that's going to be a pain in this area.

This week I started off at 205 and right now I am weighing 203.02oz.. Maybe I can break those oz to roll me over to 202! Keeping fingers crossed! Lol:carrot::carrot:

Also I am finding breaking the 200 number is hard.. These pounds don't want to leave.

I made it to night ladies; I worked-out hard in the gym tonight and I hit 202! Whew! The odd thing is when i do my weigh-in today at GNC the scale there always say 1 pound diff from the beam scale at the gym. It will more then likely have me at 201.10oz because; when i weighed my self tonight I was between 201 n 202.

Feeling good.. this week I started off at 205 and now 202! That's 3 pounds this week! Lard... 199 here I come!

Hey ladies!!! Looks like yall are all doing good!! I have a cold and feel dreadful. So i ate pizza. Totallg not healthy. But my weight was 191.0 on saturday and 192.8 today. So not good for me!!! Hopefully the steroids and antibiotics willbhave me feeling better so i can get back on track and working out again!!!

Congrats everyone! It sounds like a lot of you are really losing fast. I finally got back to my lowest weigh in, which was 258. My goal is to get to 250 by December, so I still have quite a bit to lose. It will be tough, but I'm sure gonna try.

Today the scale was kind to me again. It said 179.8 for the second day in a row. I was so afraid that it was going to be one of those flukes, where you were dehyrated or something crazy. Also I lifted legs yesterday and an quite sore, so I was afraid of water retention in my muscles causing the weight to swing up. I'm really happy to be in the 170's two days in a row.

Hope everyone is doing well. I honestly don't know if 10 lbs is really an attainable goal for me. But I feeld like I have such a good start (Beginning weight drops the fastest though, and i did just start out on nov. 1) Regardless of whether we get to 10 lbs, any loss is a loss. And not gaining can even be a loss for those of us who are constantly yo yoing.

I have been gone and totally busy lately with interviews. That is not a bad thing of course, but stress has never helped me with my waistline. This morning I am only down. 0.2 from before I got really busy. Only a .2 weight loss for me in a week is very low, but I guess it is better than a gain. Plus TOM came today, so I bet it is a bigger loss that the scale just isn't showing yet. I really want to be in the 170s by Thanksgiving, so that means 2.2 lbs this week (so my scale will show 179.8).

I saw 178.4 on the scale this morning. I can scarcely believe it! Maybe I will get 10 lbs this month! That would get my 5 lbs away from where I settled at and maintained for almost a year. This time I'm going to keep working at t though.

Is this true for anyone else who has lost weight in the past? Do you have certain weights you usually always plateau at? Mine are usually 181, then 177, then 170. And I haven't beenlower than that n so many years I wouldn't know what the others might be!

Anyways I cant believe looking back hofat I still felt when I was maintaing 169-172 for that year. I definately felt better than the 186 I weighed before loing weight. What also strikes me is how much thinner 178 feels on the way down than it did on the way up. I mean obviously its about being relative to where one has come from, but it definately feels different.

Up two lbs but it's also TOM and that can add up to 5lbs on me so I'm not worried about it. Just going to start working out again since my gallbladder decided to settle down, thankfully! Despite all the setbacks I've been having I refuse to give in. First time in my life with weight loss I didn't fall and just lay there. I'm just bouncing back as soon as I catch myself slipping. That alone I'm happy about!

I'm afraid I am where I started. :( My 'tom' has hit me bad (pcos is worse as I get older) I had re-gained 2 pounds but lost those as of today so I'm back with my 212. I don't know, I am trying to get to the goal I mentioned of 209. Ugh, I am miserable with this and then the scale/tape measure are no more nice than that feeling of failing. Cross your fingers iI can at least get a couple down.

I'm right there with you. I had gained 3 pounds back and I lost those again, but now the scale has stayed at 258 for three days in a row. I am thankful that it hasn't gone back up, but I really want to see it go down. I'm staying on plan so it should start going down again soon. We can do it!

I hope the gain I saw is just an artificial one. Ugh, I ate late again last night. That's two nights in a row that I broke into leftovers after I am not supposed to be eating anything more. I counted up the calories and logged everything, went ove rmy calorie budget by 700!!! This has to stop today. I just cant fall back into these kinds of behaviors again :(.

Scale said 180.2 this morning, after being 178.4 yesterday. I know that eating late doesn't help with the weight in the morning. Also I woke up this morning SO hungry. Was running late getting the little one to a program she has today so I didn't get breakfast right at first. Then I needed a couple things at the store. Ugh! Terrible idea. Shopping hungry. I was on the brink of rationalizing why I could make today a cheat day and buy some far less than healthy food. But I decided that I would be settle for a breakfast of green giant broccoli and cheese sauce (I love the stuff almost as much as I love doritos). Anyways I ate that as soon as I got home without even thinking about weighing. I was tempted to let that be an excuse not to weigh, but I know me and if I stop weighing I start gaining.

I know that even 700 extra calories couldn't possibly mean I gained 2 + pounds overnight, but its pretty depressing to see the upshift. And yes I know I need to get used to it, thats the reality of daily weighing. But since I have been completely spoiled for the first 2 weeks (yay today is day 15) and always seen a maintain or a loss wince I started weighing, I'm letting this dissappointment me probably far too much.

Thanks for being here to let me blow off my gloominess.

Anyways heres to a stellar rest of the day. And OP days for all you chickies as well!

Scale said 180.8 this morning :(. I'm hoping some has to do with sore muscles. Oh well keep keeping on. I finally broke the late night eating last night. Was able to just stick with dinner and make it good for the night. Tonight I close at work, so as long as I come home, have my tea and go straight to bed I shoudl be good. While I was gaining weight I would almost always eat late night after getting off of work. I'll eat dinner before and bring a healthy snack I can eat around 10. Then no more food for the night. I really want to see that 178.8 or better by monday.

Taking the doggie for a run. Then I need to make up my leg routine I didn't finish last night. I feel like I have so much more energy today than yesterday. Yesterday was really tough. Constant battle to fight the binge urge. Today I can a;ready tell is going to be better.

On the upside, my daughter lost another pound as of this morning. We both started WeightWatchers October 15th and she's lost 7 pounds now, I think. She doesn't have as much to lose as I do. She's happy that her jeans are getting looser.

This morning I was thinking about the fact that it is now the 17th day of the month! I haven't been perfect, but I have really made some great changes and I have stuck with my new lifestyle for a whole 16 and going on 17 days! I'm so excited ot be doing something that I believe I can do the rest of my life. Somedays are really tough, but I plan to allow myself indulgences. Even in the weightloss phase I want to do what I plan to do forever. I just hope to get to where indulgences are planned, and not counted after the fact when I slip up!

It's so bittersweet that things are going pretty well this long. Sweet because when I think about 2 months, or six months down the road I imagine being ever closer to my goal. Having more fun shopping in smaller sizes. Feeling good in my cloths and being able to wear different trends and styles and looking good wearing them. Feeling OK, maybe even good in a swimsuit at the pool or beach. Not feeling like a whale among all my tinie tiny friends (why do most of my friends have to all be so thin!).

Bitter because I now know how I am absolutely capable and able to do this. I am doing it! I am treating my body better everyday. Lifting weights to help my bones and muscles stay healthy for years to come, eating clean nutritious foods that make me feel good and even my skin looks better!! And when I think of how inspite of the hard times this is so much easier than finding my cloths too tight. WHy did I do it sooner!

Wow. I had i guess kind of a relapse!!! I ate taco bell yesterday because that was pretty much my only option. But i ate light and stayed on points. And the scale said 189.4 this morning. So i guess it wasnt too bad!!

My weight is doing what it did last month and is hovering between 170 and 172; my TOM started today and I'm way more crampy than I usually am, so maybe that's why my weight's up today. Maybe I'll get another woosh and I'll get somewhere close to where I wanted to be, lol.

My goalweight is 165. Started at 172. I'd fluctuated down to 170, and now I've flutuated back to 172. Boo.

I feel so stuck right now. I know its only been like a week. But I am at 179.6 again. So basically I have bounced around 180 mark. I know I should be excited because I am no longer bouncing around the 185 mark. But I still have 4-5 lbs to lose to make the 10 lbs. I don't know if I should just be patient and give up on the 10lbs goal, or if I should do something to jumpstart the weight loss? I'm happy losing 5 lbs in a month. But I lost most of it in like 1 1/2 weeks! I just think its too soon to already be hitting a stall. Should I try to up the cardio? I haven't had a perfect week. In reality the few nights of late night eating could be what's stalled me up.

Anyways, sorry for the spewing of concerns here. I know I have no right to complain. And like I said, its not like I am doing perfectly eating wise and still not losing any weight.

What has worked to jump start you ladies in the past? Should I focus on diet? Do extra exercise? Or just chill out and not be so concerned about missing the 10 lb goal.

Another gain, but still down from yesterday (151.4!). It is scary how quickly the lbs can come back on after a week or so of eating like crap! The anticipation of Thanksgiving has had the opposite effect that I thought it would: I thought it would make me buckle down and motivate me to work harder to offset the indulgence BUT INSTEAD it has basically had the exact opposite effect! BOO TO ME!!!

I started this challenge weighing 208 pounds and as of today The scale says I am 198. I lost my 10 pounds! When they say walk your weight lost away; they should say run your weight away! Running works and even though I only did 25mins of it.. It helped me lose these pounds! You know what's funny ladies??? I had some large arbys fries and I just knew I gained weight! Maybe it's okay to eat bad for one day??? Just maybe! :D:D

Unless a miracle happens over THANKSGIVING weekend, I doubt I will make this goal. However, I have been feeling really proud of myself. My weight loss has slowed in the last 5-6 weeks, which is to be expected, since I am approaching a more normal weight now. But I have kept at it, despite not seeing the huge results of before.

I read here somewhere, actually, that people who are losing weight take for granted that even a very small loss, like 0.2 for the week, is still more than most people see. Because even though plenty of people say they want to lose weight, few actually do. So for me, as long as I'm consistently going down, I will be happy and grateful.

I'm down 5lbs so far. With 9 days to go I will be happy to lose another 2lbs, taking my total to 7. I'll take that.

My average loss has been around 7-8lbs for the past 3 months, so 10 is ambitious for me, especially as I get nearer to goal!

Mandydawn77- I'm sure you'll see improvment. Anything lower than you started at is success. Sometimes we lose slower. Mine just finally moved. Don't underestimate your possibilities. Your body might have extra water too.

So, I skipped posting last weeks weigh in cause I went up. This whole journey was making me feel very tired. Tired of the calorie counting, tired of feeling like I was on a diet (even though I know I'm not). Just had a bad week or so.

But I got back on track this week. Got back into my mindset that this is for life - which means exercising daily, eating within my calories AND having that cookie if I want!. And, it worked! Weigh in this morning shows I am back to where I was which makes me happy.

I won't be getting anywhere close to 10lbs, but I am happy that I rode out the low and am still making progress! :D

Hit a new low today! First loss in 13 days just from eating like crap. Glad I was able to reign it in! I was getting nervous there for a minute that I gained for over a week!

Hit 153 this morning, down 7lbs this month so far. 7-8lbs is average for me, so I'll be happy even if I don't lose any more this month really.

I agree with Missy Krissy, 10 lbs is too fast of a pace for me too. I'm still getting in control of my eating (dinner portions, specifically).

My goal is to see how many days I can control my eating. If weight loss happens, awesome!

Well I didn't do so good over the holidays. I weighed 258 this morning. I'm glad it wasn't worse. This was my first holiday since switching to WW's and believe it or not it was harder for me than on Atkins. With Atkins I just knew what I could and couldn't have. I guess what's hard for me is having what I want, but just a small portion. I have major portion control issues.

So unless I miraculously lose 4lbs by Saturday, this ain't happenin' this month. However, I broke into the 160s (169.5 this morning!) so I'm happy about that. This month has been rough, though, for some reason I could not get my butt in gear; maybe the change of season slowed me down a bit. But now that I'm used to it being darker earlier and colder, I can get this show on the road and get the next 28lbs off! Let's do this!

I'm still a little frustrated that I didn't get to weigh in last week, and that I'm still two days away from my final weigh-in for the month. But here's to hoping I'll have lost the final pound by then (or even more)! It's been a strange, stressful month, thanks in part to the holiday.

My MIL makes homemade tamales and it's one of the very few things I eat that I'm completely clueless over about the calories, so I end up limiting myself to two when everyone else is eating five or more. We ate over there last night and got sent home with a huge bag that's now sitting in the fridge.

I'm still hoping I can get out of the 220's by the end of the year, but given my average rate of about a pound a week I'm not really counting on it. But I can most likely make this month's challenge at least! I'm in desperate need of new clothes right now so I'm going to venture forth today to see if I can find some good deals, or at the very least, put myself in a good mood over what I might be able to fit into now. :)

Thank you! And honestly I NEVER thought I'd be back here, EVER. Didn't think my body was capable of it at 30 years old after 2 kids and a 94 pound re-gain!!! Everyone's body is different and has different "happy" weights, but you just never know till you get there!

Just bought my first pair of size 6s EVER! They're a teensy snug so I'd say I'm a size 6 to 8.

Been up,down and back up. I am at 212 again. Yuck. It maybe sodium. no good numbers to report but I do think I have changed some jiggle to muscle in my belly region. I will persevere and cross my fingers with due diligence I can get to goal in a few days.

Hey chickies. I have finally got back to posting on here. All the family around and business of the holiday and I didn't post until yesterday anywheer on 3FC. SO long story short I managed to maintain over Thanksgiving, but haven't seen any loss. Yesterday I weight in at 180.4, and I haven't weight yet this morning. I will here in a minute after I finish my nice hot cup of coffee.

Pretty sure there is no way I will see 10lbs, but I'll be happy with the 5 lb loss I have alread seen. PLan to make today a stellar one and really get a good cardio and weightlifting workot in.

Good luck to everyone today and in these last few days of this challenge.

P.S. So since I'm mnot looking like I'll make it to 10 lbs this month, I REALLY want to have a chane at redemption and lose 10 lbs next month. So definately think we need someone to start at 10 lbs by New Years challenge!

Had a good weigh-in this week - especially considering Thanksgiving! - but I still don't think I'm going to reach 10 lbs. I'm going to weigh myself these last two days, and even though it won't be an official Weight Watchers weight, I'd like to see how close I came to meeting the challenge!

With everything that happened at work last week than black friday on top of that I really didn't put to much thought into what I was eating and just grabbed whatever and ignored the scale. Than my brother came up to visit for a few days. He left this morning and when I jumped on the scale I was totally expecting to see I gained weight. So I'm happy to say I lost half a pound. So 1 1/2 to go! Consider I have 2 days I'm sure I won't make the 10 but 9 would make me happy too!

If I'm correct I have 2 more days )(30th+1st) until the deadline? Wow, I have only lost 2#s but there is a cabiot, I didn't gain and I have 2 days left. I have counted, exercised and tried --I look better so I hope some of my weight not being gone is absolute muscle. :)

Well I know I'll be down for the month. But looks like still just 5 lbs. Which is great! Only disappointment is I was down that 5 lbs in the first two weeks and haven't seen lower since. I actually didn't weigh this morning :/ . Had an early appointment and jumped into shower without even thinking. And I don't wegh when soaking wet. I have seen as much as 2 lb difference! My offical end of the month I'll call on Dec. 1st, which will start my next 10 lb challenge :).

If you count today's weight I lost 6.2 for the month. If you count my pre-TOM weight from a couple days ago I lost 8.8. Either way I lost more than I had originally planned on.

So tomorrow is December 1, and I just randomly decided to weigh in today and my scale said 167, so while I didn't lose the whole 7, whatever my body was holding onto decided to go away to allow me a 5lb loss for the month! I'm happy. :D

I saw 180.0 trhis morning. That's 5.4 loss for the month. Nothing to scoff at I suppose. Any loss is better than I was doing before november! I'm ready fo rthe next challenge though. Also excited to talke measurements. Maybe the news there will be even better.

I weighed myself on the 30th and I was still 159.5. I maintained for about a week and half and considering I never could maintain before even when I tried even for a few days I'm happy I was able too. And I did it without even counting calories or working out. I was only 1 1/2lbs from goal so I am happy with November's weight loss. I'm not going to be actively trying to lose weight for December though. Just maintain until I'm able to workout again. Working out seems to bring on a gallbladder attack so I have to wait until I get that done. Which reminds me I need to setup a DR. appointment and see what to do next with this. But way it's going I think I'm headed to having it removed. It's not getting better but worse.
