Terri -- You are too funny - those new smilies are so cute. I especially like that little
You are just soooooooooo creative, LOL :D
Well, today is a brand new day and I'm starting over (again), but that's okay. I've decided to treat this like an addiction just like gambling or alcohol -- I will take this one day at a time. I'm starting to feel that if I think of this as a lifetime thing, I will be overwhelmed :( I like being underwhelmed better :dz:
Hope everyone is doing well -- Myra I know you said not to mention it again, but looks like you, me and Essie are in for some more s_ _ w this weekend  We'll get through it somehow. Spring is right around the corner.
Hi Jen and Zoe -- hope you guys are okay. Zoe, hope you are enjoying your vacation, and Jen , hope you are still planning your trip to Mexico.
Have a great day, everyone.

hehehe,
Yes I feel it is like an addiction. We will be starting over every day. I love the guilt that I do not feel when I stay op. It feels much better than when I don't. I know my fat cells are sitting there in wait and ready to be sneaky
:s: Then they will turn like the  on me. I get so confused :?: (I love theses smilies too) .
We can do this albeit slowly. But it will get done.
One day at a time. That is how I live. My biggest accomplishment since starting is that if I eat something perfectly sinful (like a Buster Bar and I have :o ) I hop right back on now. At least after I eat, I mean lick the stick. :D Before I used that as a liscense to eat whatever 'til the next day. Not anymore. I have learned that I can start right now. I have never done that before. That to me is  .
Giving up is a :nono:
I am so glad you started again. You are an asset to us. And a friend. You go to so many interesting things. I love to hear about them. If you leave I will
hehe,
Love ya'll,
Terri

Hi everyone!
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I've been away from here for toooo long!
Tuesday was my daughter's birthday, she had asked me to watch the boys overnight so she and Michael could go out for dinner, etc. Of course I said yes, and it was a very busy two days!
Add to that the tons of homework and studying I've been doing (but love), and the week is gone!
I'm glad to hear that you're okay, Essie, and Dianne, with that terrible weather. Myra, how are you doing? At least it's March, so it won't be around for too long.
Terri!!! I'm dizzy from the smilies!!! LOL too funny, and you've been very creative with them, I must say!
It's getting late, I'll be back tomorrow.

Hello :)
Seems like we all found eachother again. Terri #43 was there. :?: Nobody posted on it so I deleted it :(
We got soooooo much snow. The next couple of days it's going to be in the 40's so it'll start to melt.
I have to try real hard to lose 10% of my weight by the end of August. My nephew is getting married. Yesterday I did so well & one of the attorney's keeps chocolate on her desk & at the end of the day I ate 5!!!! Now this woman is very overweight, has chocolates right in front of her & she tells me that doesn't bother her! My problem is sweets!! Me & my brother(personal trainer), we are so much alike it's scary sometimes.
We celebrated David's birthday (my baby) Saturday. I met his "new" girlfriend. She is so cute. With my son you never know. Time is flying! I wish he would settle down already, so I can become a Grandma :)
Well ladies, I don't want to spend to much time on-line this morning. Have sort of a busy day ahead of me. I'll try to be back later.
Have a great day everybody.

I'm here too. I've been inundated with both snow and work. I'm going crazy. Not doing so well on WW but I refuse to give up. This week I am determined to lose.
I hope all are doing well.

Me again :D
Terri, no need to apologize. With the new changes maybe it disappeared that day. Who knows. :dizzy: I did have a nice time Sat. I met all my son's friends. This weekend is my nephew's son's birthday. He'll be 5 yrs. old. A real cutie. We never seem to get a break!! I survived the holidays now I have birthdays to deal with.
Myra, hang in there. I refuse to give up also. Imagine how we would feel if we decided to do that. I get my nails done every other week & I made friends with a woman that schedules her appts for the same days I go, and she's been on WW around 1 mth & she looked so good today. She has breast cancer & is getting treatment. The chemo made her gain weight so she decided to try WW & is doing so well. She is determined. I applaud her. We can't let anything stand in our way.
Hi Jen & Dianne:)

Hi,
Myra, it's so good to hear you saying that you're not giving up, that you'll stick with it. It seems as though quite a few of us are in the same boat. Just need to keep plodding along, don't let it out of our sight, and don't quit! At least that's what I keep on telling myself......... ;)
Essie, you're so right, the holidays are over, but we still have to deal with the rest of the year. Isn't it difficult to meet your son's girlfriend and wonder if she will be "the one" ? For some reason, it was easier to marry off my daughter than it will be my son!
Terri, right after I graduated from high school, Joe and I eloped to city hall (long story) and I never went to college. Now that the kids are grown, I'm finally getting my chance. I began by getting my feet wet with a computer class (Excel, Access, etc.) this semester. It was tough to walk through that door after 30 years! I really am loving it though, and will take at least one class next fall. If you're thinking of pursuring your master's, I say go for it. You know you'll never regret it. What a great example it will be for your kids.
Well, this is turning into a book. We're having a small get together tomorrow evening for Jessica's birthday (my daughter). Joe's sis and hubby are coming over.
Have a good weekend everyone.

That is wonderful Jen. GOOD FOR YOU!!!!
It is never too late.
My husband got his Masters in 1996 and he just got permission to take a 2 yr. sabbatical to get his Doctorate. I think when he is done
I will pursue it.
Good luck to you. I know you will get your degree. Your grandkids will be bragging about you all over the place. We might see you in Woman's World Magazine.
You go Girl!!!!! :D
Essie,
I am so glad you got to meet some of your son's friends. That little 5 yr. old sounds cute. I wish mine were that little.

Hi :D
I'm feeling pretty good today. My scale reads 2 lbs. less than last week. I read somewhere that Vioxx makes you gain weight. I wonder if that's true. I have to take it every now & then.
Jen, that's really cool going back to school. My brother is always telling me to go back. I really don't feel like it at this point in my life. I give you alot of credit. Way to go! ;)
It is difficult meeting my son's girlfriends. I haven't been to crazy about some of his choices. I've had to bite my tongue. Believe me it's been hard. I think this one might be his type. He's 7 yrs. older than her. For me, that's not a big deal. At least she's never been married or has had children. I've always worried about a jealous ex. Do I sound like a worrier? (sp?) :o
Terri, how much have you lost so far? In how long? I sat the other day & tried to figure out why am I so out of it. Couldn't figure it out. :( I'm not letting that  think he's got one over me. No way. It's been a struggle for me but I will beat whatever this is. I am very close with my nephew & he's very disappointed with his mom. She's always depressed among other things. He said his mom never tries hard enough. She's a quitter & he's right. It put me to think I don't ever want to be labelled as a quitter. No way Jose!!!!
Myra & Dianne, it's supposed to warm up this weekend so the snow is going to disappear :D
Have a great day guys ;)

Hello my buddies & happy saturday:
Jen -- I think its amazing that you've decided to go back to school and are loving it. Good for you. When I retire (in about 15 years - I'll probably at least take some courses in something I've never done before. Like, maybe hang-gliding, LOL. I've always been a little dare  Happy Birthday to Jessica.
Terri -- thanks for the kind words earlier. I never thought about the different things I go to as being interesting, but guess they are. Well, actually I have to say the "vagina monologues" was very interesting, enlightening, embarrassing, etc. but was glad Alana and I had the experience. Any thing we can do to support non-violence against women is important.
Essie -- hi girl, so when is your son getting married? :s: Just kidding - let him take his time and find the right one. Of course there's never any guarantees, but its better not to rush into things. Enjoy your nephew's birthday party.
Myra -- Hope your snow is over finally -- all we got yesterday in New York City was rain in the morning then it cleared up. Spring is in the air!
Zoe -- Still on vacation? Hope you are having a ball! You must tell us all about it when you get back.
Well, not doing much today, except house cleaning (yuck) :dz: and trying to stay on program. This morning I had 2 thomas' corn cakes with jam for 5 points. Much better than the corn muffin I was having at work for 11 pts!!!:o We'll make it - one day at a time, that's the best you can do.
Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone!
Dianne,
I have lost about 40 since May. I have had some plateaus since Halloween, but it is coming off slowly. The funny thing it hasn't upset me. In the past I would get depressed when I didn't lose every week. This time I am weighing in every other week (lifetime so don't have to pay for missed weeks) . I am just happy to not be going back up. I would like to have 50 off by the end of May. That will be 1 yr. since starting back.
Jenn,
You go girl!! Proud of you to be going back to school.
Essie,
I don't want to even think about when my kids start bringing friends of the opposite sex home.
Sounds like your son has a good head on his shoulders like mama.
Hope you all have a great weekend.

Hello,Terri, Dianne, Jen, Myra,
What an afternoon I had! My brother called me up to tell me he found a place for his gym 10 minutes away from where I live. I am so overwhelmed & confused about this whole thing. :?: :dizzy: I saw the place. It needs work but it's perfect. He wants me to manage it & for my husband to go get a certificate for personal training! I've been at my job almost 13 years. I get full medical coverage, work 4 days a week 8-4 pm. I really have to pray about this. My husband hasn't said much about it. I know my brother will be very successful.
Terri, you've done so well with WW. All along you've kept a great attitude which is why you made lifetime. I'm am so proud of you :D
Dianne, are you still going to meetings? How are those Thomas' corn muffins? I haven't had a corn muffin in so long!!
Jen, hope you're having a great weekend. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA :)
Well my friends, till tomorrow.

Thank you so much Essie.
That would be a hard choice. 13 yrs. is a long time.
I know you will look deep into your heart and find the right answer. Your brother should understand that this is a big risk for you and you opt to stay with your job. But I can imagine your dillema. Good luck to you.
Keep us posted.

Good Morning :)
You're welcome Terri. Just popping in to say hi. It's supposed to be a really nice day today so right after church I may go for a walk. Walking clears my head. You're right Terri, 13 years is a long time & I really like my job ALOT! I have my stressful days but don't we all. I only work 32 hrs. a week & believe me my pay is not to shabby. There's alot of what if's going on with me right now. Thanks for your advice ;)
I will be back later on this evening. Enjoy your day.

Where did you find that cute angel Terri?
I had such a wonderful day today. I love my church & my pastor. We had such a nice service that when I left I felt so blessed.
Terri, I saw this woman today that 2 yrs ago she had lost 40 lbs with WW. I haven't seen her in a while. She must have gained 40 plus!!! I don't know what I would do if that happened to me. Why does this happen to so many people. It doesn't matter what weight loss program they're on. I guess they just give up!!!! So sad :( If she would have kept up with her exercise routine I bet she would have gained some but not all of it back. I remember back then she told me she was doing cardio & weights. Speaking of exercise I didn't walk today. Too cold!
Well my friend, have a great evening.

 HI ALL!!!!
Essie,
I am so glad you feel so comfortable with your church. I love mine too. I feel great when I leave.
I guess people keep going back to old habits. I think everyone has good intentions and thinks they can control it when they eat more. Then slowly see that they can't. I will have to stick close to the ww meetings at least once a month. I gained the 50 back after reaching lifetime in 1985. Of course I had three kids since then but I should have gotten it off after each child. WHY DIDN'T I? I could kick myself.
Oh well! I am tired. hehe (love these).
Have a great Monday everyone.

This will be short. Getting ready for work.
Terri, that's the same dog I have except that she's very chubby. She is soooo cute. I love her so much. I'm always kissing her. When she sees me coming towards her she rolls over because she knows what's coming.
As soon as I sign off I have to write in my journal everything that I'm going to eat today. I like Mondays. I feel like I can start over. So here goes to one more try!!!
Have a great day.

Essie, I hope your new start has been successful.
I started my day on an up note today. First of all I went to gym and did weight training and a step kickboxing class. At the class someone said I looked like I lost a lot of weight. I haven't, but maybe the toning is making me feel better. I felt great hearing that. It gave me the motivation to try to make her statement true.
I hope everyone is having a great day.

Hi my buddies:
Hope everyone is having a good day.
Essie -- Sounds like a big decision you have to make. I guess I can only say, pray, pray and then pray some more! Sounds like a great opportunity to do something which involves what you love - exercise, but of course, you do have to think about leaving a job with security and 13 years. I wish you great luck whatever you decide.
Hi Terri, Jen, Zoe & Myra.
By the way, Terri and Essie -- where do you get those wonderful pictures under your names????

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dianne,
I read this in the genearl section of 3fc.
I went to the top of the thread and clicked on profile and then profile options. I played around til I figured it out. Here is more options for you. I also read that you coukld go to www.animationfactory.com
Read on:
One of the fun things is putting a "face" with your name!
This is the way I do it. If anyone has other/easier ways, please post!
You can choose from 13 wonderful ones from our BB by going to
profile/edit options/ change avatar
and clicking on one of the pictures. Remember to click on "submit modifications."
Or you could scan a pix of yourself and scale it to a 60x60 image.
Select profile/ edit options / change avatar
Then click on yes on the "custom" at the bottom and click on "browse" to upload the image from your computer and point to the location on your computer where you stored your image.
Or you could go to
http://www.aol.americangreetings.com/tribe/iam/
and select from their library of icons/avatars.
Choose your icon/avatar and right click on it.
Select "save picture as."
Rename the icon file name from the number to something you'll remember (such as iconflower, icondog, iconsmile, etc).
Save it where you will remember it (such as My Documents, or create a file called Icons/Avatar ).
Here is what I did!
Now go back to 3FatChicks and open your profile.
Select Edit Options/ change avatar.
Click on yes at the bottom for custom.
Click on browse for the "upload from your computer."
Go back to the folder where you saved your icon/avatar and highlight the icon/avatar you saved.
Remember to click on "submit modifications."
This is so much fun, I might change my avatar on a regular basis!!
Have fun.... and post if you find other sites with good avatars to choose from.

Myra, I love to hear that you're working out. Exercising reshapes us, in a great way. I'm sure you're looking good. ;) My kind of workout, step w/kickboxing!!
Dianne, I missed you. Hope you had a nice weekend. The pictures, just like Terri said. I played around with it till I got it. Cute right? Yeah, this thing with my brother has my head :spin: I will be praying big time.
Terri, I must say I had a pretty good day today. The lady on the LA Weightloss program lost 15 lbs. !!!!! She gets upset cause no one has noticed. She has alot more to lose. I could see it mostly in her face. She is a very attractive woman. She's going to be a knockout when she reaches goal.
