Hi everybody,
I baked and decorated Easter sugar cookies last night and did not eat one! The family had donuts this morning with breakfast I didn't touch 'em. Didn't have any of the See's truffles at my mom's house and haven't touched the kids' Easter baskets....I'm feeling pretty good about this.
We are off to my sisters' this afternoon for a family dinner. I hope you are all having a nice Easter.

Sherry - Like me, your middle name must be Grace! :lol: Seriously, I can think of nothing better to trip on than too-big pants! WTG!

What happened to our weekly weigh-in thread? (BTW, I've changed my WI to Mondays because WW Online won't let me do Sundays, since I joined on a Monday.

We spend the day at my brother's and had a great day. Everyone takes a couple of dishes and put it all together. I was so surprised that I got a big plate full of things all OP!! I have to admit the desserts did bother me today, but didn't touch anything!! :cp:
We stopped at Walmart on the way home and I got me a low carb candy bar and some Le Carb Choc ice cream. How's that for an award for being good......LOL.
Sherry talked to me today about my water intake. For every glass of water she drank ....I had Diet Mountain Dew!! I'm really going to try harder with the water thing!! And going to start back walking daily too. My big toe has been feeling alot better these days, so why can't I walk on my good days!!
I spend most of today just sitting around talking. Only played one game of horseshoes, just relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Hope everyone had a great day too!!

Debbie-Water is one of my downfalls. I was doing well, but find myself going for diet drinks instead. If we are suppose to drink 1/2 our body weight in water per day, then I need to drink 65 oz. Ugh!! I am going to keep trying, though!

Debbie - Yeah, that Diet Mountain Dew is evil :devil: because of the caffeine in it. If you really have a hard time choking down water, try Crystal Light. The only thing I've found is that if I drink more than about 3/4 of a gallon of it, I wake up the next morning with a really gross aftertaste in my mouth!

Sherry I see that your watching me......your little guy is cute.
Sounds like everyone had a good easter. We did too. I ate to much but I had planned to be off program so I don't really feel bad about it. I am back on program today and hope that I didn't do to much damage.

Ok girls you have to help me out.....remember I am a canadian, eh......when is memorial day? I haven't put down a goal yet because I don't know how much time I have to work on it.

Sherry-I'm sorry you had a bad day yesterday. I am not looking forward to going back today, even though it's secretary's week. I know that the staff will be bringing in lots of food this week. I may have to wait until next week to really start my challenge, since I messed up so bad yesterday. I think I am using the excuse that I am PMSing. I did run and bike yesterday, though, and got lots of water in.

I have been lurking around... shame on me... when I should have been posting. :(

But all is not lost. I have been OP since Friday morning. Even through Easter, I did good. no candy whatsoever touched these lips!! :lol:

So 4 whole days OP and I feel great! My husband keeps teasing me about losing weight so I can get into a bikini for our trip to the bahamas in November. I told him that even if I lost that much weight I still wouldn't look good in a bikini. I will have to hit the weight training if I want to tighten up all these muscles!


Anyway, I just wanted to stop by and tell you all that I am alive and well.

Sherry: I have been chugging that water and I do believe you are right. It does help! Only problem is running to the bathroom all the time.

Debbie: Drink that water, you will be surprised how much it helps. The diet sweetners they put in soda is confusing to your system. It still thinks your drinking real sugar!!

I don't have time to speak to all of you right now, but Shelley, Doni, Jennelle, Dee and Gayle... HI... hanging in there with you.

And to you Holly.. WELCOME. This is a great bunch of gals. You will love it here.

Actually, I had two days off plan, but right back on again today! I needed a much deserved break with a bottle of wine last night. Just a general "sucky" day, hopefully today will be better. When Steve heads out of town, everything falls on me, this will be his second week out. He will be home Thursday, but will head out again Monday for another week out. Sorry to come here and sound grouchy! :^:

Ramona---I'm more relaxed, but I haven't gotten any calls for interviews yet. Maybe they're waiting until the end of the school year. I don't know, but it's got me a little worried.

Okay, today there was a bunch of sweets for breakfast at school. Since I knew this was going to happen, I didn't eat breakfast at home. So I had 2 mini muffins. I also didn't eat the lunch I brought and had a small slice of ice cream cake for lunch. When I figure it all out, it was probably about 10 or 12 points, so I didn't do too bad. Tomorrow it's lunch out at an expensive restaurant. I will probably get a spinich salad. I do love secretary's week!!!

Sherry - Thanks for the advice! I talked to a fellow teacher in one of my college classes last night, and she said the same thing. Even though teachers are supposed to "officially" give notice as to whether or not they're coming back the next year in April, there are quite a few who say they are coming back, then don't.

Sherry, I went to my 10 year, but not my 20 year. The 10 year one was fun, still seemed kinda "clickish" even after the years. I agree, it's fun to go see all the "snots" that thought they were the greatest thing in the world. I don't like to wish bad on anyone, but I do have to smile to myself when the class queen and snottiest girl on earth had to go through a bad marriage and divorce. MEOW!!!!

BTW: WHAT EXACTLY IS BETTY BOOP DOING ON THAT MOTORCYCLE???????? :o

Ooohhhh...Sherry! Go to your reunion! I couldn't go to my 10th reunion, because we had just finished moving to Spain and had no money. My 20 year is in 2005, and I will DEFINITELY be there!

And as far as the cute ones being fat...a former boss of mine went to his 20th and said that the girls who were cute in high school aged the worse, but some of the gawky-geeky ones turned out to be total hotties! Isn't that the best revenge? :lol:

I'm still going to think about going to my High School reunion.The ONLY thing that will be stopping me is that I didn't go to college and I don't have a good career job.I know that most everyone will get up and say that they're a Lawyer,Doctor,Teacher etc. And then I'll have to say, "Oh I'm just a Secrectary's Assistant in an Elementary School." I know that's how I shouldn't feel but, I can't help it. I would like to see my old friends though. :) I'll let you know if I decide to send the money in.

I went to my 10 year reunion and had a great time. Believe me, a lot of the people who are lawyers wish they were doing something different (I know, I work with a bunch of them). I say go for it!

Well, today is my oldest baby's 15th birthday!! I am going in late to work so that we can go and get her driver's permit:yikes: Then I am letting her take the day off from her school, and come to me at mine and help out anyone who might need her help throughout the day. Tonight, my other child has a string's concert.

Yesterday, my DH was driving our only car (the one with the bad tires) and it stopped completely. Luckily, it was right near the Toyota dealer. He called me up after having it repaired to the tune of $900.00.:( We had no choice. It needed a new computer something or other. It totally wiped out our checking account. If it weren't for bad luck, we wouldn't have any luck!!

Okay, I'm just getting myself depressed---better go before I make all of you depressed!!!

Well, I have sucked for the past four days, back on plan today!!!!! I have used feeling sorry for myself as an excuse to cram anything I want into this mouth!

Just when I was getting used to yesterday, along came today.

It is a cloudy but warm day here. We are suppose to get some rain today. Our city paper is featuring our basement staircase in the paper next weekend. If you girls remember from the pics it is painted down and streaked with a brilliant blue and the stairs are white with stenciled on cobblestone. The columnist wants to get the point across that stairs can be a decorative feature. Then she is going to put in a tease for the next weekend which will feature the rest of our Tropical Paradise. It should be fun. The photographer will be coming in the next couple of days. I had my interview already with the columnist.
Another intresting thing that is happenning in our neighborhood is that thier is another movie being filmed. There is a house a few blocks away. The movie people have moved everything out of the house and redone it. They will be there a month. It is very intresting walking down to see the action. The family that live in the house has the option of leaving the house the way it has been decorated or having them redo it the way it use to be. It is a country charm house with a large porch on the front. Inside was done exceptionally well. It will be intresting to see what they decide to do. They were paid $28000 to move out for the month. Plus they were set up at a very nice hotel all expenses paid including meals. Not a bad deal for a moth vacationa nd cash to boot.
Mom will be starting radiation soon. She needs 30 treatments. She will have 5 a week. She is still having trouble balancing the thickness and thinnest of her blood. I can't believe how much she aged this year. She always looked younger than her age. She will be 69 next week. She now looks old.

Shelley best wishes to your daughter on her 15th birthday!!! Time goes by so fast. Dez has her learners now and that is scarey. Last summer when she was riding her bike she knocked off 3 mirrors off of parked cars. I am sorry to hear that your car had a boo boo. I think that our transmission needs some work too. Always something so that we don't get to comfortable with life.

Carol wow way to go for being on program for 6 days. to be on program at Easter you deserve a medal!

Sherry I think that the reunion will be fun. You can show off yout new body and it will keep you inspired to lose more knowing that you will be seeing all your school friends. Many times through this last week I had a chuckle over something that you said. Remember when you tripped over your baggy pants....not that it is funny that you got hurt but it is great that your pants are getting to big. Try dresses girl!!! You are doing great, I don't think I have ever seen you as motivated before.

Gayle it takes a lonely women to notice knotty Betty Bop! Sorry I don't know any quotes for grad but I would appreciate it if you would share some. Jason's girlfriend is graduating this year and I could use some. Any ideas what I can get her?

Sherry, YES, absolutely go to the reunion! My 20 year was a blast. Everyone had finally outgrown the cliques and we were all on an even playing field....even the doctors and lawyers!!!
This year is my 25th also, but it doesn't look like we are going to have one. That really bumbs me out since I'm 70 pounds lighter than I was at the last one!

Shelley, I'm so sorry about the car troubles. I know it's hard, but try not to get down over it. I hope your daughter has a wonderful birthday!!!!!!

I was gone yesterday. I had to take my folks to the cardiologist. It's a long trip and I always dread it because we hear the same thing......advanced heart failure, nothing we can do. Mom usually wants to stop at Red Lobster afterward and I was planning to eat some seafood, but she just didn't feel well enough to stop.

I'm going to have to tweak my eating plan a bit. I'm afraid I'm getting gout from eating so much protein. I've backed off a bit by adding in some fruit and veggies, but staying away from the starches. This is basically what I did in the beginning so I think I'll be OK. My biggest problem right now is that I'm craving sugar which is unusual for me. Hopefully, the fruit will take care of that.

I watch them shoot the movie. It was great. Very interesting. You would never guess who I talked to. Carey Lowell, Richard Gere's wife. She said that he will be here with the children this weekend to visit. The movie she stars in is "More than meets the eye" It is Joan Brock's story. Today they were shooting a christmas scene outside with blind children singing carols. No we don't have any snow here. So this was weird. We are going back tonight to watch the next shot. Gayle I have an idea....since you are bored and lonely why don't you fly up to winnipeg and we will set you up with Richard for the weekend.
