What is your method? Once a day? Once a week? More? Less? What ways do you track your weight?

Every day. Naked, first thing.

Wednesday and Monday. So, two times a week.
I use the beam scale at planetfitness and the scale at GNC to track my weight.

I weigh daily, and typically at night as well. Sometimes more. Works for me that way. It's kind of just a habit at this point. I'm used to the normal fluctuations, and it typically doesn't get under my skin going up a lb or 2 for no apparent reason.

Once a week. I can't stand the drama of day-to-day fluctuations.

I am "maintaining" a 65 lb. weight loss so I weigh myself daily, first thing in the morning. This helps me stay on track as I can stop a gain in weight before it gets out of control.

We each need to find a routine that works, as we are all different. The scale is just a tool that can be helpful, very helpful.

This.

I really look more at my morning weight though as that's most consistent (pee, naked, then get on the scale). But I do hop on throughout the day if I'm in the bathroom or something. I know about how much I go up on a normal day. I actually "track" my weight once a day on Fridays. That's what counts for my weekly loss.

I weigh every morning after I get rid of used food and drink. However, I only record my weight on Sunday morning. Watching the daily fluctuations of my weight helps keep me calm.

Daily in the morning, in underwear, after peeing. Also, the scale is on the same bathroom tile.

I "count" my weight only on Fridays. I found that when I go a few days without weighing, it's easier for me to go off plan and over eat, so I weigh in daily to keep myself accountable.

I got REALLY obsessed with weighing at one point. I think you need to do what will keep you healthiest mentally and physically - some people can go every day and not obsess over it or become neurotic. I weigh a few times a week because I'm doing a weight loss challenge at work and I like to compare to what my scale at home says vs work. I highly suggest that if you find yourself becoming too crazy about the number on the scale, then limit yourself to just once a week or once every few days and instead focus on what you're putting into your body.

Good luck!

Every friday. Usually every other day, or sometimes even daily. But only fridays really count.

I weigh every morning, naked, usually before and after using the bathroom. I keep track on an app on my phone. I only input the day's weight if it's less, by at least half a pound, than the previously recorded weight. Once a month I go through and delete the earlier weights in the month, leaving only the last weigh in (so I'd keep August 31, September 30, etc.) to keep things from getting too busy and crazy on the graph. One data point a month over a year is easier to look at than 365 data points over the year!

I use to weigh myself every Wednesday. It was helpful for me to gauge my progress. Things started to change once I started lifting heavier weights. My body started to look great but the scale would not move. I knew I was eating healthy and inches were falling off of me. So to keep my sanity I stopped weighing myself weekly and now it's only a couple times per month mainly for tracking purposes.

It works for me because I'm more concerned with losing inches and how my clothes fit.

I weigh once a week, every Saturday morning on my Wii Fit - don't own a scale! I wear the same thing every time I weigh myself and always before I eat or drink anything.

I weigh myself every morning & night. The fluctuations don't bother me & gives me an idea of where I'm at. I measure once a month.

I weigh less often than most.....once every 3-3.5 months. It works for me while I'm losing, but my plan is to start weighing once a week (maybe daily for the first few months) when I hit maintenance. :)

I weigh too damn often! Every time I go to the bathroom, past the bathroom, think about the bathroom...
It only counts Wednesdays, I weigh every morning, naked, after peeing, scale is in the same spot, feet in same spots and my hands are in the same position each time. I weigh everyday because otherwise I think "weigh in is a whole week away, I can eat what I want today and get back on track tomorrow", but then I say that everyday until weigh in day and panic and hate myself so yeah it is easier to weigh every day. Now if I could just figure out why my weight on the same scale jumps between 2 to 5 pounds within a 1 minute period and 3 step ons, sigh.

I weigh every Sat. Morning after bathroom before water or food. I'm very firm on this because in the past I'd weigh more and if I wasn't down do stupid things like fasting to get down for monday mornings. Also I tried once a month and of course that was just lying to myself- cause that would lead to being blind to my actions (this little extra here and there didn't count) So Once a week to keep me honest- no more than that to keep me on healthy eating plan. I've been back for 4 mo. and have lost something every single week, so it works for me, Good Luck!

Well, up until a few days ago, I was weighing myself twice a week; on Tuesdays and Fridays.

But...I've come to the conclusion that my Weight Watchers digital scale has got to go! Example: just this past Tuesday I stepped on the scale and I had "gained" 8 pounds. Uh huh, right. Eight pounds in four days. Never mind the fact that I had totally stuck to the program, worked out like a champ, and TOM wasn't a factor. So, just for the heck of it, I waited 30 seconds and weighed again. Oops! Shouldn't have done that ~ now you've gained 9.5 pounds! Yikes. Ok, just for the heck of it, hop on one more time. You guessed it...up a whoppin eleven pounds. At this point, it was almost comical; if I wasn't rushed I might have just kept up the experiment to see how high it would go :D Sorry, got off topic here....

Anyway, once I replace my piece of shyte WW scale with a good old fashioned dial scale, I will probably continue to weigh twice a week. This works for me because I'm accountable for what I eat, especially if I know a weigh-in is only days away.

Some digital scales can be a mess! I use the classic old-school balance scale that doctors offices used to use. It cost me a pretty penny too. I'm sure the more accurate digital ones are pretty expensive as well (like the ones now in a lot of doctors offices)

Rarely. When I was actively working on losing, no more than once per month. BUT I tracked my eating and activity every day to know I was creating a calorie deficit. Mentally I couldn't win when it came to using the scale to track my progress. In the past when I weighed regularly, it always led to over-eating. If the number was better than expected, I'd reason I could relax and "treat" myself, and if the number worse than expected, I'd think "what's the use?" and console myself.

Now that I've been maintaining for more than 2 years, I'd guess I weigh in every 2-3 months.

I'm switching over to about once a month. The scale messes with my head and I don't think that's a good thing. Of all the crap in the world, I'm worried about the scale? It's just weird.

I had the exact same problem with that scale! It flucuated like crazy, even if I just stepped off and then back on. I threw mine out and got another digital scale (some off brand one), and it works way better. I can weigh myself three times at one weigh in and it stays the same number :)

I weigh myself every morning. It gives me motivation for the rest of the day!

I weigh myself every morning, but I only count it on Sundays. I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who does things like this. I also weigh myself every so often at other times: like in the depth of winter when I'm wearing tons of stuff, just to see how much it weighs; or if I'm traveling, I'll weigh myself and my suitcase and then subtract my weight so that I don't have to pay extra fees; sometimes I'll expand on that idea and just weigh things for pretty much no reason whatsoever; and finally every so often I'll weigh myself before and after going to the bathroom. Even I don't know why I do that last one. So, my scale is helpful tool but also a fun toy.

I do once in a few days
sometimes in a week or so...

I do record my workout and eating calories
so, I do have an idea of how much I should weigh...
scale is just a confirmation once in a while
