Soulpatrol, I'm almost positive the reason I'm FINALLY losing is because of the cardio. Everyday I hop on the eliptical. The first few days was only 20 minutes. Then I bumped it up to 30 min, with a minimum of 300 calories burned. Just today, it was 35 minutes. The rule is that once I hit a specific time, I can't do less than that amount the next day. Also, I work out in the morning, this gives me motivation for the rest of the day and feels great. Soon I hope to be like many on this site who do an hour a day. Ladies, I salute you! This seems like a huge goal but I'm working towards it!
I occasionally will have a slim fast for lunch. Tried this years ago but couldn't get past the taste. I don't know if they've changed the flavor but it's much better and really does keep me full for at least three hours, usually four.
I don't really have a "secret"....just going through one of those times in my life where the motivation is very high. I don't question this, believe me! I just act on it. And I don't weigh every single day. Too easy to get frustrated with normal weight fluctuations.
Every day is a fresh start, thankfully
