Diana -- i'm so glad you are still here; it's so encouraging! I hope you have been feeling better!

Future Hi :wave: I'm still here, but I have only been updating my post. I have been struggling with my Angio Edema diagnosis. I have been trying to figure out the meds and what will work for me. I am still doing everything the same, but it's weird when your body can have a reaction for no apparent reason. Talk about throwing a monkey wrench in the program. ;) I am still a work in progress and science experiment. :D

Diana, glad to hear from you, but sorry to hear you are still having issues. The only thing to do is to keep moving forward and trust in your doctors, eventually they'll get the right combination of meds and dosage to get things under control.

Ok so I'm at a stand-still, no gain but no loss either, just hovering around the 250 mark (+-2). Work has taken over my life these past couple of weeks, not good at all. But since Sunday, I have made a conscious CHOICE to put myself first once again. Just have to remind myself of this every single day.

today's negatives: i grazed on a mini donut and three little fries.

today's negative wasn't as bad as the bags of popcorn and countless candy bars i binged on last week, but i would still love to work on getting out of the grazing habit!

10/3/12: 2500 + calories

i'm sure it could well have been closer to 3000 calories (including cupcakes, fast food, lots of carbs, etc). perhaps 2800, but i stopped counting after 2500 calories.

sigh, so now you've seen one of my terrible overeat/binge days. i know there's a huge difference between overeating and binging. but yesterday was a little of both.

there were times yesterday i just ate the wrong foods, and then other times when i mechanically ate things just for the sake of eating them; no thought at all.

i'm glad i kept track of the calories, though. i used to overeat and binge without tracking the calories, and then i just brushed it off. now that i see how much i actually ate i can see how much it's not worth it.

also, i know why i overate and binged. it's because i had already decided for myself that i would have those unhealthy foods. i had already determined this because i was thinking out of desire and hunger instead of what i'm trying to progress towards in the long run. the rest of the week will be better! and i'll keep working on controlling myself!

yesterday's positives: our cross country team played ultimate frisbee against the wrestling team. needless to say we were able to outrun them and won 7-1. :p

yesterday's negatives: overeating and binging, which i will get better about.

Ciao, good for you for realizing why you were eating the way you were yesterday. Knowing yourself is half the battle won.

So still at 252 today. Yesterday was really stressfull at work, we had a company audit and I was on edge all day, so I took that as an "excuse" to order out for lunch and indulge to drown out the stress. Stress is a big trigger for me, gotta work on that.

today's positives: i had CONTROL! i didn't feel the need to graze or snack, and i really stayed on plan as best as i could.

today's negatives: i won't get much sleep tonight because i worked late. so i'll be exhausted tomorrow for my AP physics test and it doesn't help my weight loss.

I've just been updating my original post; it's easier. As of Monday I'm "officially" down #1.4 this month, however today was a big whoosh. I'm not sure why, but I'll take it! I'm ecstatic to see a lower #220s number today. Hoping it stays that way for Monday's "official" weigh in day. Although, I'm updating my tickers anyhow, because it makes me feel good. :D

You are correct I am not EVER giving up, I am just having bad days and need to vent. If it wasn't for all you wonderful, supportive people here I don't even want to imagine how much weight I would have gained back with everything going on in my life. Thank you again for your message!

Good - that was all said in my best :drill: voice. It's so easy to fall back into old habits, and extremely hard to make new good ones! I completely understand the venting...we all need it. And these boards are awesome! We're all going through it, and all understand. I know for me, i join a lot just to keep me accountable. :hug: to all of you!

Hi Cutie - Welcome back! I'm not sure about everyone else, but I know for me, I just update my original daily weigh in post every day (link in signature). I then check to see if anyone's posted anything new, so I'm still here. :)

I'm actually feeling really good this week. Last week was rough emotionally, and this week's been hard, but I'm moving forward. I bought a pack of cigarettes on Wednesday because I couldn't handle the stress. I had quit in April after smoking for 19 years. I smoked one each day when I thought the stress/emotions were too much to bear. Yesterday I threw the pack out, with 16/20 cigarettes in it. I decided that I have been working WAY too hard to make good decisions to let the crap that I'm going through ruin all of my progress.

I'm proud of myself. I'm going to toot my own horn! :D

Official weigh-in today has me at 215!! :fr: OMG that is 4 pounds down from last week!! And I just realized that one week from today will be NOVEMBER!! Where has the time gone?!?!?

Hey girls! I'm just catching up and checking in. :) (I update my original post, so I don't read all of the thread every day.)

So how's everyone doing? Only a few more days until the next month! :eek: I feel like I'm finally in a groove on this, and can really do it this time! I see a difference, I FEEL better, and I can't wait until I see that #199 on the scale... that to me is the "magic" number to prove I'm really doing this for real. I've lost #15-#20 off and on in the past, but always bounced back. It's real this time! :)
