Default My 9 yr old is in Surgery

My son for some bizarre reason tried to climb our palisade fence this morning and fell. He managed to split open his hand between his pinky and ring finger.

He is currently in theatre having the damage to his tendons, nerves and ligament repaired.

The waiting is a nightmare, we are just sitting around waiting to be called to post op.

Thanks for listening.

Sending lots of love and support your way. Give us an update when you can. I have a 9 year old son, too.

Ok, surgery over. We will be staying overnight for observation.
Apparently the surgery went well, they found the nerve instantly and where able to repair that. Just waiting for the DR to give us an update on the rest.

Thanks for all the thoughts and wishes.

Owie! Silly boy! I'm glad the surgery went well and hope his healing goes smoothly, along with the cautionary lesson of not doing foolish things . I'm just waiting for my kids to do something big enough that it leaves an impression on them to think before acting, but it hasn't happened yet!

He will be so proud of his show and tell to his pals on this one and maybe even a great scar to show off his boyness! Of course all you will have is nerves and worry for it. Hugs!
