Default Had to rave about this-just had dinner for pizza and it was sooooo good! Totally OP!

O.k so we just had the most amazing gastric experience at the dinner table-a loaded bbq chicken pizza! Yes pizza! This may be old news for some but for me it is a new discovery!! I used a basic recipe for a cauliflower pizza crust. It uses riced cauliflower, a little egg, salt and Italian seasoning. Squeeze out excess water in a cheese cloth from riced cauliflower, add egg, salt and seasonings. Spread onto parchment lined baking tray and bake at 400 until brown and dry. I topped mine with WF thick and spicy bbq sauce, grilled chicken breast, pepper, onions, tomatoes and jalapenos because we like our food spicy! DH had his half topped with shredded marble cheese and he loved it! I had mine as is and it was so delicious I didn't miss the pizza sauce or cheese!! The crust is crispy and you can pick it up and eat it like a pizza. The result is-I am never going back to regular pizza crust ever! So yum-I had to share in my happiness!

after reading this post I want pizza! And I think I could get my kids to eat this too. So I would only have to make one dinner

I searched for the recipe but all the ones I found had you put cheese in the crust. Could you give us the recipe that you used? how much cauliflower to egg. thanks

Here's a Phase 1 recipe I've used before - I also used pureed roasted red bell peppers in lieu of tomato sauce to keep my carbs low in Phase 1 (I tended to avoid the restricted veggies back then).

Thanks for the link, Liz! I might be missing something, but how much cauliflower should I use (a whole head?). Thank you! I'm keeping this recipe for when I need a special treat.

I did a whole medium-sized head of cauliflower (~4 cups chopped) and it made 2 huge pizza crusts. And yes, me and hubby did have 1 pizza each! He loved it - said it was his favorite veggie recipe to date.

Hi LizRR - Your weekly weight-loss stats are impressive! During Phase 1 did you exercise much? Or was the consistent high WL numbers strictly from adapting to the Ideal Protein way of eating? Thanks, New to IP :-)
