100 lb. Club - I passed the bar exam!!

The summer of bar prep was also the very last beginning of a long weight loss journey.
I used weight lifting and running to cope with the stress. I ate well to nourish my body and my ability to learn huge amounts of information. And I lost 42 pounds while studying for the bar exam.
And I found out today I passed!
We had a party at work with lots of great food. And I told myself I could eat whatever I wanted. Cuz I passed the freaking bar exam! Didn't want the cake, the brownies, or the cookies. Passed on the bagels and the grapes. Had 3 slices of amazingly delicious pumpkin bread and called it a day. More calories, and empty calories, than necessary. But reasonable, and sustainable.

Congrats from another bar survivor....15 years ago. I completely dropped my diet during my Bar/Bri class and didn't get back on track for 13 years :) Congrats on a great job on both the bar and your health. Welcome to the practice.....:)

Thanks, everyone, for the words of encouragement and support! It is so nice to have a group of people who understand the struggles. Free1 - I actually didn't take a prep course. Just because of the money, but I think it was the best pure-luck decision I have ever made. While my friends in BarBri were going insane sitting through a video-taped lecture, I was at the gym listening to law lectures on the treadmill or in the weight room. While they sweltered in a classroom with practice tests, I was at the side of the pool working my way through questions - after I had enjoyed an hour or two of lap swimming and playing with kids. Hopefully, I learned a little bit about integrating fitness into real life!

Wow! What a great accomplishment! I know how much work it is to study, study, study for the bar. My SIL is a lawyer, and had to pass in VA, DC, AND MD.
