Good Morning All,

I'm doing laundry today. Yippee. DH is on drill this weekend so it's just me and the animals. Guess I should find someting fun to do. :)

Hope everyone is having a great day.

Oh, I just had a great weekend. We always have so much fun at mom's weekend. I did some shopping. Bought Ds graduation clothes. Bought myself the greatest shoes I have ever owned. I may wear them constantly, they are so comfortable. They are Merrels. Anyone ever had these?? They are so great, my mom and sis bought them also. :D
Lauren - so glad to hear your grandma is fine. :grouphug:

Karen - yes, Georgetown is in Washington DC. Do you get there much?

RR - 2 years! Wow. Hard to believe. We have all been through so much in the time we've been posters!

Hi everyone :) Hope you all had a good weekend. We went to see Anger Management and it was pretty funny. I love movies that make you laugh. I am starting my week out with very little appetite, could be that TOM has left the building.

Rabbit - I am glad you had a good weekend :)

Karen - Glad to see you are feeling better :)

04-14-2003, 06:17 PM
Boy, what a gorgeous day today! 85. Unfortunately later in the week I heard 57. :( I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Hope everybody is having a super Monday!

Hi All,

Ellie- That movie looks great, I love Adam Sandler!! May try for a date night this month to see it, we have movie tickets someone gave us for Christmas!!

Rabbit- Never heard of Merrels, I need new sneakers though. Have to hit the New Balance store one of these days. Glad you had a good weekend with DS. I still can't believe he's graduating already!!

Karen- Did you find something to do...besides laundry?!

It was gorgeous here yesterday and will be again today. In fact, I think it's supposed to be great all week! HOpefully this is the beginning of permanently good weather for Spring/Summer!

Have a great day all!

Hi everyone,
I'm back on track (again) after a week off. Thankfully no gain. I just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a great week.

04-15-2003, 02:01 PM
not many posts this week. Maybe everyone is enjoying spring??

04-15-2003, 04:42 PM
Boy it sure cooled down here, I had to put on a light jacket this morning :) Unusual for the desert southwest. Still went for a walk even though the wind is 21 MPH, nothing like a little natural resistance training :D Hope everyone is having a good week. This will be the first Easter that DD won't have a basket. She is also cutting back on sugar. I got her a book and DVD (Tuck Everlasting) and will pick up a easter bag with one chocolate bunny.

LBH - Glad you are enjoying spring weather :) If you like Adam Sandler you will definately like the movie :D

Liz - Maintaining is good :)

Rabbit - I think our cold weather is heading your way :(

Thought I would share this joke.....the new Mom's will appreciate this :)

With all the new technology regarding fertility, A 65 year-old woman gave birth to a baby. When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, her relatives came to visit.
"May we see the new baby?" one asked.
"Not yet," said the 65 year-old mother, "Soon." Thirty minutes had passed, and another relative asked, "May we see the new baby now?"
"Not yet," said the mother.
After another few minutes had elapsed, they asked again, "May we see the baby now?"
"No," replied the mother.
Growing very impatient, they asked, "Well, when CAN we see the baby?"
"WHEN IT CRIES," she told them.
"WHEN IT CRIES??" they demanded. "Why do we have to wait until it CRIES??"
"BECAUSE, I forgot where I put it..."

Hi guys,

Ellie: ROFLMAO!! That was great. I can see DH doing that!! Forgeting where he put the kid down at! 21 MPH winds? Whew. Sounds rough.

Lauren: Don't look now but we are supposed to be back in the 40's for Thursday and Friday. I'm so tired of this seesaw weather. I want SPRING and I want it NOW!! (Says the grumpy preggo woman!!)

Hi Liz. Hope things are going well for you. No gain sounds like it is!

I'm off to enjoy some outside time with this wonderful weather!! Have a great evening!!

04-15-2003, 06:04 PM
LOLOL!!! Ellie, that's hysterical!! :D

Karen- I'm with you, heard that this AM on the way to work and was like, WHAT?! It's not fair!! *stomping feet*

Hey Liz & Rabbit!

04-16-2003, 02:11 PM

Not much new here. Got all the baskets done. Have the meal planned and am working on planning ds' graduation party.

Ellie - I still do baskets for my ds and my ss & sd! I took ds's to him last week because he won't be home this weekend. And I mailed sd's today. Hope the chocolate doesn't melt - it's going to Florida. ~ we are getting stormy weather today. And again on Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Guess the Easter Bunny will hide eggs inside.

have a good day all. Karen & Lauren - yuck on the 40 degrees.

Boy, is this turning into a long week :dizzy: I ordered the book Protien Power and it finally came yesterday. Seems very simular to the plan I am already on but a bit more liberal. I am thinking about switching to it but I need a bit of time to do meal planning.
The book shows how to compute your ideal body wieght. I must say that I was pleasantly suprised that for me it was between 124-134. I am so short that I expected it to be much lower. I had orginally set my goal at 120, then changed it to 125. Now I am thinking that I would be very happy to be at 130 which is were I was prior to quitting smoking. I also computed my body fat which was not as bad as I thought. I was thinking 65% :D :D
It was actually 39.95%. According to the chart, I need to lose about 12%. I guess that is reasonable :dizzy:
It warmed up a bit today, think we are in the high 70's/low 80's. At this time of year these temps are a blessing, triple digits are just around the corner.

Rabbit - You are such a good Mom :)

RR, LBH, Karen, Liz & everyone else

Ellie - thanks!

I have been in candy **** this week. I am bound and determined to pull myself out of it. Today I bought candy for candy bowls to have sitting out on Sunday - and my better self took over and I bought all peanut butter (which you may remember I hate). whew. All is not lost.

04-17-2003, 05:09 PM

AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! It's Thursday and I was supposed to leave work 30 minutes ago but some stupid idiot who was here for a telecon somehow picked up my keys (house & car) that were sitting on my desk. This guy lives an hour away and apparently left work early today and just discovered he had them. My stupid husband won't answer his pages -- trying to call him so I can swing by his work and pick up the house keys since he doesn't get home until an hour after me and I think he's running errands after work. I already talked my boss into letting me take a company vehicle home with me. Oh yeah, did I mention I'm taking a vacation day tomorrow cuz me and DH are going out of town for the weekend so I now I have to leave my vehicle here all weekend and the company car at the house. Thankfully I have a company car to use!!!!!!

Okay...I'm done...I still don't know what to do!!

04-17-2003, 05:34 PM
Oh Liz, that sucks!! :( Just have a great weekend away!! And smack the you-know-what out of the guy that took your keys when you get back!!

Rabbit, Yeah for you choosing all PB!!

Hey speaking of PB, I was reading on another board that some people put PB on corn on the cob!! Sounds nasty, anyone had it that way?

04-17-2003, 05:57 PM
Hi guys,

Liz: Oh wow, that really bites. Hope he does something nice for you since he caused you so much trouble. He DOES intend to return them soon, right? You are nice, I would have made him drive the hour back to bring them to me right then.

Rabbit: Yeah on the PB choice. That wouldn't have done me any good at all. I love PB. It's my second favorite food right after cheese.

Lauren: That is totally GROSS!! I love PB but the thought of that combo makes me nauseous!! Ick!!

Have a great evening.

Hi everyone, I am a bit sad today at the news that Dr Atkins past away this morning. Then some of my co-workers showed their complete ignorance by making a comment that we (those that are on a lc diet) should be careful seeing as he died. Now, correct me if I am wrong, but I don't see the connection to falling on a icy sidewalk and a low carb diet  It is not like we go around soliciting people to LC. Then I got a call from the school nurse cause DD was throwing up. That was a lovely car ride taking her home :tape:

Liz - Hope you get your keys back :)

Rabbit - Smart move on the PB thing :D

LBH - PB on corn? GROSS!!!!

Hope you all have a good evening, tomorrow is TGIF :)

04-18-2003, 12:25 PM
hello! :flow1:

I am feeling good today.

My word for today is: STRENGTH

Liz - oh no! Hope it all worked out. Forget it all and enjoy your weekend. :)

Lauren - Yuck!

Ellie - hope dd did not throw up in the car. And ofcourse, I hope she is feeling better. ~ Silly comments from your co-workers!

Hello everyone,

I can't really say happy good Friday it just sounds funny. But hope everyone is having a great week.

I've been reading but really haven't had anything to say so....

RR - Congrats on picking a candy you don't like.

Rabbit - Glad you're feeling good today. My mom bought us all crystal baskets full of chocolate last year and we're older than your's. I like your word for the day. :)

Liz - Bummer on the keys hope everything worked out. Have a good weekend.

Ellie - Some people don't think before speaking. Best to just ignore them, and they may not have heard why he died I have to admit that was the first thought that crossed my mind not that I would have said it to you.

LBH - Don't worry spring will be here eventually...I hope. Then it'll be hot and we'll be complaining we can't wait for fall .

Karen - Hope you enjoyed the good weather while you had it.

After checking out all the baby pic's I had to attach this one of my oldest (Rudy) getting a kiss from my Nephew.

Have a great weekend/Easter everyone.

-Tech :goodvibes

04-18-2003, 04:58 PM

Aww. Tech, cute baby pic!! :D

04-19-2003, 12:21 PM

Yesterday was a banner day! I only had 22 points. :D I used my "strength" to avoid the Easter cookies my neighbor brought over.

My word for today is: GRADUATION

Gotta run do things to prepare for Easter dinner. Some family are coming over.

Have a great day.

04-19-2003, 09:28 PM

Well, it was a beautiful day here today and what did we spend the day doing??...... Cleaning the attic!! We had so many boxes up there it was a fire hazard. Tuesday is cardboard day so we broke down all the boxes and sacked up all the styrofoam. I even vaccuumed up there. We organized all the other stuff too. Then we installed the car seat base in DH's car. I feel like I worked all day!!

Rabbit: I'm curious. Why Graduation? Because you are getting ready for DS's? Yeah on avoiding the Easter cookies. :strong:

Hope everyone is having a super day.
