Default Veggies calorie question

I made a stir-fry last night with broccoli, cauliflower, yellow onion, red and green pepper, summer squash, zucchini, carrots and celery. Proportionally, there's a lot more broccoli and cauliflower than anything else. Honestly, since it's just me eating it, I usually grab two handfuls. I would guess that's about a cup and half, maybe a cup and 3/4. I've been averaging the calorie count at about 125. Does that seem in the ballpark?
No oil, just water. I guess they're really more steamed than anything.

Is that measurement for the after size or the before size? Honestly, I just measure out my veggies, just to be safe.

you shouldn't worry too much. it's not like youre free pouring oil or butter milk or peanut butter. veggies are low cal, and since calorie counting is not an exact science anyways, i wouldn't spend too much time worrying!

1 cup of cooked broccoli and cauliflower is about 60 calories. So if you're eating a cup and a half that's only 90-100 calories

That's the after cooking size.

Thank you very much for the replies! I appreciate it. I guess I'll just carry on as I have been. Bottom line, more veg is good. There are too many other things that are actually worth worrying about to focus on this.

I love veggies for that reason- you get a lot of volume and nutrients for not much caloric cost! I know *I* didn't get fat from eating too many veggies , so I'm more lenient with measuring them.

Those are way calorie dense foods. Dont worry about it. They are free foods in my book. Its the fats, meats, and such you need to count.
