You look incredible! The difference is amazing--even down to the way you carry yourself. 100 lbs. makes a difference in a lot of ways.

Thank you for the support! (HUGS!!!) Actually, I recently went to a store I used to work at a few years ago, started talking to the employees I used to work with, and they didn't recognize me until I told them who I was. Awkward --- because I look so different. It didn't occur to me that someone might not recognize me. It's like being in cognito or in a different body -- or invisible in the sense that people I know don't recognize me. It's really pretty weird, but I just say hi and explain who I am.
How will I celebrate? Well, I've already started - contacts, brows done, new outfits, pictures, a makeover really. I might even get my ears pierced when the rest of my life calms down a little bit. I like my new portrait (avatar) too. It looks really good big. It's cool to have a good looking picture.
I'm so glad to have pictures to show you guys. See what 100 pounds can do? I never thought I'd even lose 50, and now I'm over 100 by trying to lose one pound at a time.

Well, of course we all want to know how you did it!!!?!?! Could you pretty please post a sample of your typical day's food & exercise? I really wanted you & Daners to post in my food thread so I could get some ideas. ;)

Sample "Low Calorie" Day (note: I'm generally home mornings and out teaching afternoons and eves, so I have to take food that can travel with me)
Breakfast: 400 calories
1 cup raisin bran
3/4 cup 1% milk
1 cup orange juice (calcium enriched)
1 cup coffee with little bit 1% milk and 1 tsp. sugar
Lunch: 300 calories
1 scrambled egg
1 piece bacon
1 piece rye toast with tiny bit of butter
1 cup decaf cofee with little bit 1% milk and 1 tsp. sugar
1 treat (like a hershey caramel)
Dinner (Usually eaten in two segments 1/2 of the following around 5ish and half around 9ish when I finish teaching):
1 tuna sandwich on 2 slices whole wheat bread (400 calories)
1 banana (100 calories)
1 carrot cut into sticks (35-40 calories)
Total, about 1200 calories.
This is just a low cal day though. Some are higher -- like when we have family visiting or have pizza and stuff -- but this isn't bad. And I try not to go above 1600 in a day.
Exercise: I don't do much except my physical therapy things for abs, back, legs, and arms, and a little walking and swimming, but I don't do the cardio nearly every day. Maybe once or twice a week of some gentle walking or swimming. Physical therapy stuff I do every day -- about 30-45 minutes daily.

It took a long time. I'm in my 3rd year. The first year (2001), I didn't change my eating. I just started exercising. I lost 17 pounds by climbing mountains. The second year (2002) I sprained my knee and had to face the eating part or gain back the seventeen I had worked so hard to lose. I lost 67 pounds by watching what I ate for a total of 84 pounds. This year (2003) I've lost 18.5 this year for a total of 102.5. Truthfully, I didn't start losing till half way through 2001, so I've done the actual losing in a year and a little over 9 months.

Congratulations!!! You success is just so amazing, and so encouraging. Thank you for posting it, it gave me the inspiration that I needed to get back into my routine so that I can get to my goal. Way to go! You look beautiful.
