100 Pound Club Halloween Challenge.

I need a challenge to get back on track!! ;)

Goal lose 20 pounds between September 12 and ends on October 31 (8 weeks).

there's one currently going on (link in my signature)

but if you're looking for just a new challenge why not try "18 lbs in 8 weeks!" (a little over two lbs a week) or, if you're a slow loser like me you could do "8 lbs in 8 weeks!" and just go crazy with halloween spirit. :D

I'd love to lose 20 lbs between now and Halloween. I don't think at this point I could do it in 6 weeks but 8 weeks? Maybe.

I am gonna start walking in the evening . I bought an exercise vest at Walmart that you put weights in the pockets up to 20 lbs. I need to start using that when walking and see how much that will help ! I have promised myself to reach my goal and now is the time to prove it to myself !

I'm totally up for this. Either is fine for me as far as doing 6 or 8 weeks. I'll just be sure to check again by Wednesday to see if we're starting sooner.

And hopefully this will get me out of the 300s so I'll never have to see them again. :D

Hello! Thanks for starting this 100lb Club challenge. I'm in for the 8 week challenge til Halloween!

My first mini-goal is 275, so, even though I doubt I can do 18lbs in 8 weeks, I sure am going to try my best.

I'm definitely game. I need all the motivation possible, I just feel so overwhelmed with how much I need to lose in general so taking it pieces at a time, with other people who are going through what I am, is a big help. :)

I'm trying hard to get my weight as low as possible before the 21st of October, which is when I run a half-marathon. But why not continue through Halloween.? 1.5 lbs per week seems to be the best I can do.

9/10 -- 219.5 actual

My body is entirely too comfortable in the 180s. It's killing me. I've been in the 180s-190s since February. If I ever see 179 I may die of shock.

I'll join in. Halloween is a great mini goal--not too far away but enough to make a difference. I'm doing very low-carb and I seem to lose 2 lbs a week consistently so I'll pick a reasonable goal for me:

Start of Week 3 of the Challenge....Week 2 saw a bit of a bounce back after Week 1's ridiculous loss...i'm not allowing it to deter me though. Besides just balancing out, I also had a family wedding over the weekend so I was drinking heavily for 2 days! It's still down overall so I'm focusing on that.

Goal for this week: More gym time and more walks.

Start of Week 4! Happy October everyone :witch: Excited that I hit my goal for September (225)....but then of course went out to eat so I'm up from that. Still a very good down for the week though, so I'll take it! My goal is not really very reasonable at this point, but I'll keep pushing for it.

The goal is definitely reachable! Since Halloween is the time for candy (and you know I mean dark chocolate) I researched what kinds of sugar-free chocolate were available on the internet. The brand receiving the most votes for best tasting was Chocoperfection (an Idaho company). But the cost is crazy--$48 for 12 bars. That's $4 each for a candy bar. Looks like I will just have to do without for now, unless someone has a better idea.

I am officially quitting my Halloween Challenge. I'm not going to make it, and knowing that makes me feel really down. So, instead I've given myself a Christmas Challenge. I wish you all the best of luck with making your October goals!

Hey, where did everybody go? It's not Halloween yet!

I reached my goal of 268 a week early so I hope to be 265 on Halloween. That would make it an even 20 lbs total lost and it's worth giving up trick or treat candy for that.

Well, I went on vacation. I tried to eat healthfully, but well, I was on vacation. Back to the real world and being on track. 250 is still achievable for Halloween!

I met my goal and a bit more--20 lbs gone.

I'm wearing my Giants baseball jersey today in support of our World Series champs. They are having a parade in San Francisco right now--estimated 1 million people turned out to watch.

Thank you, Palomino! Congrats to you, too. It feels great to meet a goal, doesn't it?

As to how I lost it, I am following Weight Watchers Points Plus on my own. I joined weight watchers in May 2011, went for about 4 weeks then quit (and gained about 15 more pounds). 9/13 was the first actual day of my diet, so I attribute most of the weight loss to my body's shock at having good, healthy food for a change :D. I ate irresponsibly on vacation in October, but got back on track when I returned.

I fear it will not come off as quickly in the future.
