100 lb. Club - SEPTEMBER Points challenge! (This has nothing to do with Weight Watchers)

SEPTEMBER CHALLENGE!! 4 more more months left until 2013!!! Do you have some ground to make up before the end of the year? Are you doing what it takes to get to your goal? We all could use a little help, so why not join this challenge?! It's somewhere to check in...some friendly competition.

Since this is a monthly challenge, it will start on the 1st and the day of the month is the day of the challenge. You need to post your points on a daily basis (or whenever you can). Simply reply to this post and then edit that post as you add points. That way you always know where you are and so do I!

For those of you who have NO IDEA what I am talking about - here are the details. Sometimes we work our hardest when we are held accountable. So I challenge you to do your very best for the month and we'll see who wins!!

Here is how it's going to go. Starting September 1, 2012. We will try to do the 3 things that work. Food, water & exercise. You decide what your food plan is, how much water you want to drink and how much exercise you want to get every day. Every day you have the opportunity to earn 4 points.

2 point for sticking with your food plan (no splitting points here, you either stuck to your plan or you didn't)
1 point for drinking the amount of water you decided on
1 point for getting some exercise. (If you don't exercise on a given day - you DO NOT get a point for exercise - even if you planned it that way) Sorry, no 1/2 points.

Post here with how many points you've earned for a given day, and I will keep track. We'll see who did the best for the month.

This is a very cool way to keep on track, because even if you don't do so great on food, you might still get in your water and exercise to earn the points!

Food: I'm following myfitnesspal and it says I should have 1560 in calories so my goal will be to have between 1460 and 1660 every day (give myself a little room on both sides of what they give me).
Water: Drink at least 2 of my water bottles (each hold 20oz) a day full of water.
Exercise: P90X whatever it calls for. There is 1 rest day but even on that day I will try to do the stretch one some other moderate exercise. (Wednesdays are the planed rest day)
starting cumulative weight loss: 6lbs

9/1:4
9/2: 2 (I ate too much... I was doing really good all day and then we went to the store and bought a single serving of ice cream... at least I only went over by around 100 calories and the scale still went down today and I only bought one of those little ice creams so there is no more in the house)
9/3: 4
9/4: 4
9/5: 4 (it was my day off and I still went and did the treadmill for 35minutes... my husband talked me into it)
9/6: 4
9/7: 4
cumulative weight loss: 9.8lbs

9/9: 4 (my weight went up by around 3lbs... but I don't understand because I ate right and worked out... even extra than what I had planned for)

9/14: 3 (I had to do Core Synergistics and after about 20mins. I got a horrendous head ache and had to stop working out)

9/17: 4 (did an hour on the eliptical instead of the Core Synergistics one because I did not want another head ache that stopped me from working out. I don't think I've ever gone an hr on the eliptical before)

9/22: 2 (I ate about 65 more calories that are in my calorie range)

9/24: 4 When I put my weight in this morning it recommended that I change the amount of calories I'm eating because of my lower weight. From here on out to in my food range it will be 1400-1600. They said 1500 but again this gives me some room on either side... which seems to be working for me :)

9/26: 3 (planned rest day... was a work from 7:10am-7:30pm)

9/29: 1 (I went on a date night last night and did not watch what I was eating. I also think for the 1st time I did not drink all the water I said I would)

I hope you don't mind basquegirl. I liked your formatting, so I stole it.

Goals this month:

Food: Max 1490 calories. I allow myself to buy extra calories with exercise outside of P90X. P90X exercise is scheduled and not included in calorie "purchase". I haven't been purchasing extra calories so far, but I like having the option to plan for parties or the occasional night out with friends. Extra calories must be purchased BEFORE use.
Water: My water goal this month is simply to drink some water each day before my husband asks "Have you had anything to drink today?" at around 5:30 and I sheepishly say, "No." When I remember to drink, volume is no problem. I just generally forget altogether.
Exercise: I'm following P90X. I don't have a rest day scheduled in.

I'm guessing I can't get yesterday's point back even though I did yesterday's exercise today, huh? Oh well. You ladies all seem to be doing great! This challenge helps me to make myself stay on goal!
