Default Switch to Phase 2 to get passed a plateau?

I started at 141 lbs. I am down to 128 and have basically hit a plateau for close to six weeks. I had a cheat weekend and gained close to 5 lbs, but it basically fell off once I went back OP. Unfortunately, only those 5 fell off and I'm back at my plateau. My original goal was 120, but I would be happy just to get to 125 for now. Have people found switching from phase 1 to phase 2 helps them get passed a plateau? Does most people's weight loss increase or decrease during phase 2?

Just trying to figure out how to get passed this plateau. I quite prefer the shakes, and love the restricted foods, but I could easily give up the second non restricted, as I'm pretty sick of the puddings and jelly.

(Please keep in mind, I'm only 5'1 and although 128 might not seem like much, at my height I still have some pounds to shed.)

Thoughts? Advise?

Thanks!

Phase two broke a 4 week plateau for me. I lost 2.5 pounds in 9 days of phase 2 which is a great weight loss for me. That is the most I ever lost on the 3 months of the diet, and I am close to goal weight. I would try it.
