I gained 6 lbs over my vacation. I re-started phase 1 on Wednesday, and as of this morning, I'm down 6.5 lbs. Now I have more weight to lose obviously than you do, but that is still the way to go in my opinion. Redo phase 1, 2, and 3 to get yourself back in maintenance.

It def won't hurt to go back to a Phase 1 type situation, but you don't necessarily have to. I went on vacation for two weeks and gained 8 lbs (6 of which was fat). I was incredibly discouraged and thought it'd take ages to come off.....

I spent the next week being careful - trying to cut out as many carbs as possible (tried to stay within 50-80grams a day but know I went over some days) and only drank alcohol one day that week (as it stops your metabolism from burning fat). I didn't really focus on the Phase 1 plan, just tried to be as healthy as I could. That next WI I was down 4 full lbs of fat!

Not everyone bounces back as quickly, and to be honest I was shocked I had, but I think the vacations sometimes are just such a shock to the system that we gain more than we normally would.

I'd go back to phase 1 till you loose what you gained. I've been off for most of the summer due to a lot of traveling. On my last trip in July I gained a lot a weight, much more than I would have normally, but I know my body is really sensitive right now. Just going back to phase 3 for a couple of weeks till my next trip (which I'm on right now) caused me to lose just about all that I had gained. I'm now on the tail end of this trip (my last trip of the summer), and once again I can tell the scale is way up. However this time it's back to phase 1, and I know the gained weight will drop off rock it fast. On phase 3 I was loosing 1 to 2 pounds per day, so I can only imagine what will happen when I go back on phase 1 on Monday.
