Maybe you could move your posts here if you want and you posted today.

We went out for lunch at one of our favorite places that has started having daily specials. I quite consciously went off plan and had the special which was cheese enchiladas. They were delicious and I won't overdo the rest of the day.

Sandra, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. He will likely be healthier, and hopefully he can get his mind around it all and have a good recovery.

Rhonda, thank you for the new pages. I'm sorry I missed your calls. We were coming home from the doctor in Ft. Worth. I was driving. Curtis was gimpy. My cellphone was in my purse in the back seat. I couldn't get to it. We're looking forward to you and Doyle coming.

I took the day off from program yesterday but am back on track today. (I didn't do too well Sunday either.)

Vickie, what did you find out about Brodie?

Sandra, I was out when you called back. I'll email or call again.

Now, what was i saying about being good for the rest of the day? And, earlier about no added sugar? hmmm, what did I say? Ha! I bought fresh peaches and made a cobbler. It was fantastic. No ice cream on top though.

:dunno:

Rhonda, cobbler? Mmmmmmmmm. Sounds delicious. When I was a young girl, my mother would bake cobblers and we'd pour a little milk on them. I was grown before I started using ice cream. We're driving up to Ft. Worth for PT shortly. Just shoot me an e or call when you can.

Nancy, I have been thinking you'd prob want to go ahead and get listed soon. Good luck. I hope all goes well for you. My food's been not so good lately, too.

Needless to say I didn't go to WW yesterday. I'll go next Tues and step on the iron monster. Yuck! I did get back OP yesterday. We're out of fruit now except for some Clementines. I'm heading to the store shortly after Curtis' PT today.

Vickie, what did you find out about Brodie?

Maryann, how's your day?

You guys have me dizzy :dizzy:
Just kidding.
I even posted this on last weeks and just moved it LOL

OK. Normally we start a new week on Monday. I guess we're changing that?

Rhonda, I don't know if we're changing or not, but here I am.

My fault, Rhonda. I forgot. We can start it now! I'm getting ready for Brodie's Specialist visit or I'd do it myself.

VICKIE-I don't see any new thread here, but if I come back today and see a new one on the board I will change my post to the new week.

Good Morning Ladies:)

Today I had a Mass for Leo as tomorrow is his birthday, than I went to the cemetery and but some flowers a flag and a birthday bow on the stone. Than I went over to our former choir directors grave and put down a little ceramic bear at the grave site. We really miss her as our other choir director is nor forceful enough and let people walk all over her. I started to be a mouth piece for her as I can't help seeing her being walked on.

Sears is coming in a few minutes to clean out my dryer lint hose as a precaution not to have a fire started it hasn't been done in 5 years. Bought a gadget from the repair/lint clearer man that when plugged in will show a red button come on when my lint hose has to be cleaned again.

I came to this thread as I see we are all using Rhonda's.Thanks for the new pages. Rhonda & Sandra,That the reason I don't start of new thread always afraid of duplicating.

SANDRA-Had a productive day went walking along the beach early yesterday for the heavy rain came in.Than washed down the kitchen and bathroom. Later in the day I did find time to relax, and read some of the catalogs that come in the mail. You deserve to take time off from time to time from WW. The both plans never worked for me so I just counting calories and watching my carbs. Lost 2 lbs this month,so If I can do that again in Aug,I would be grateful.

NANCY- I do:love: LOVE  it up here even though the tourist do get you down with all that traffic, but than again I live here and they have to go home to where they live so that's my advantage. We normally down do tourist things in July & Aug we usually wait for Sept and Oct.,but tomorrow my friend Rita and I decided to go to MV anyway.

Have to go,have a great day

Sandra, yes, milk on cobbler, or cream....that's what we did at home also.
It's just toooooo good.

Nancy, mostly gluten free, but not the cobbler! It's not so difficult for me. I don't miss bread too much, or I eat Ezekial.

Nothing much here today.

Yesterday was the 26th anniversary of my husband's death. He died so young...only 35 years old.

wow, I can't believe I haven't posted this week. I guess because I've been busy. I got the hoarder room painted and need to get it back in order.

Sandra, best of luck to your brother. Prayers that everything goes well.

Rhonda, I was getting dizzy trying to follow the threads. I saw 3 new ones. Cobbler must be more a southern thing. My grandma used to make the best apple pies.

Maryann, better safe than sorry with the dryer. I think we need to clean ours too.

Nancy good luck with your house inspection.

We are leaving in the morning to spend a few days in Michigan. It will be good to get away.

See you all when I get back.

Rhonda, enjoy!

We're going to the potluck at church tonight. I made a WW cake using pistachio pudding, pineapple rings, and lime jello. Sort of an experiment. Curtis and I just tasted it. I like it but the lime taste overpowers the pistachio.

Tejas

pistachio is subtle...

I haven't done anything with the peaches yet..

We left the cake tonight for someone else to take home. That's the best way we know to keep us from eating it.

Good Morning Chicks! I'm tired, tired, TIRED! I have errands to do today but nothing that can't wait until tomorrow so I think I'm just going to stay in pj's all day. Jim's gout attack is feeling better and Brodie seems stable. I'm feeling like I'm getting sick but I'm sure I'm just run down.

Gotta figure out what we are going to eat today. I may have to go out after all. Sigh.

08-03-2012, 11:15 AM
Vickie, I didn't know Jim wasn't feeling well, too. No wonder you're tired.

Curtis is doing his exercises. I've finished watering the plants on the porches. Later we'll be running errands. Boring stuff, right?

Vickie..Hope Jim nad Brodie have a good day & that you stay well

We had a birthday get together last night for my daughter..Both boys are getting geared up for fall college classes..This will be the last semester for my oldest boy..3rd year for my baby boy(poor kid will always be my baby)

Lots got done at the house this week, painting, french door trim, garage & shed clean out , weeds...I plan to make a new list with everything prioritized tomorrow so we get the most important done and then go down the list til Sept 1..

Planning a movie & late lunch with my cousin today. I want to see Snowwhite & the Huntsman. It's at our dollar theater which is now $2. Eating had been decent but the scales won't move in the right direction..

Thursday night a friend & I happened by a concert at our local mall and a few people were dancing disco..Kids & all..I got pulled out to dance by a few nice guys even though I told them I couldn't dance a lick...Great fun..One kid was showing me a few steps and he danced like a 18 year old Michael Jackson...

Nancy, sounds like you had a good time. Glad everything's coming together readying your place for the sell. I still call my 45 yo son my baby boy.

Rhonda, we harvested enough peaches from our tree for a cobbler. First time ever! It's in the oven now and a container of Braum's French Vanilla is in the freezer.

Vickie, how are your guys?

Neeeless to say I'm not on program. Looking at getting serious again Monday. The biggest excuse I have for my being off program is "I lost my focus." I have other reasons but they are just excuses. Don't think I'll ever be on program 100% of the time. Life goes on.

To answer your question, Sandra, we are getting paid. The BOE is making a big power play by getting the parents up in arms, and the commission (they are our funding source) is just mad. Who knows what will happen, but the law is 180 days of school, so we will eventually start and hopefully we will be done before the start of the next school year! hahahaha

My eating is horrible, and I have hit the weight that I was when I started core. I have not given up, but right now I am not doing very well with my eating.

Nancy, it sounds like you are busy but having a good time. My "little boy" is 22 years old, 5'11, and 250 pounds!

Vickie, hope you and Jim are getting some rest.

Rhonda, how's the foot/ankle?

Pam, I am jealous of your progress in the "hoarder room". Mine is better but still cluttered.

Hey to the rest of you chicks! Have a great night!!

Sloan, I am glad you're getting paid. I was worried. I hope school can start soon for you.

I am actually thinking of calling Weight Watchers a diet beginning Monday. Sometimes I think calling it a way of life gives me too much leeway. Not sure if that'll help. Just a thought.

Tejas
08-04-2012, 08:40 PM
I spent hours with my 14 yo and 8 yo great nieces taking them shopping. My foot is screaming!!! Thank goodness for ice and pain meds

Food has been OK, but I have gained weight by the way my clothes feel. I'll worry about it later.

Sloan, glad you're getting paid.

Nancy, glad you had a good party.

Vickie, I just heard about the huge storm in CHicago. That was something.

Sandra, I'm going to make a cobbler with Splenda. I hear the drought has been good for peaches, but that's about it.

 Pam and Maryann.

I'll be in bed very early tonight! I hope you all are having a great evening.

ontarget
08-04-2012, 09:14 PM
Rhonda, I've made cobblers with Splenda before. They are good. Today I opted for sugar. My bad. Get some relief for your foot. I know you enjoyed today even thought it brought on some pain. Do you have a schedule for next weekend yet?

Good Morning Chicks! Both boys are on the mend. Our treadmill got delivered yesterday and I'll be on it...maybe later this afternoon. Pray my heel holds up because I have a lot of walking I need to do. I've undone almost all my good work.

Reading about Leptin resistance as a hinderance to weight loss. You chicks should check it out. In case you are wondering, this is not a fad. The National Institutes of Health have published papers regarding this problem.

Sounds good, Rhonda. We're still eating lo peach cobbler. I woke up with a sugar hangover this morning. I'll prob do the same tomorrow.

Beginning tomorrow I'm on a WW DIET, with all capital letters. I don't know if I really needed this break or not but I took it.

Tejas
08-05-2012, 07:26 PM
I have avoided added sugar all day, even passing up a piece of cheesecake at my great niece's BD party. :woohoo:

I've been reading about Leptin. I don't eat much fructose, so that's a start.

Now, don't anybody start new pages tomorrow--we're going through Monday.

good morning chicks. So we do new pages on Tuesdays? I'm so confused.

I've been so busy. We never made it out of town. My summers are usually taken over by Big Brother. I know, I know. I'm 62 yr old and hooked on a reality show. Can't help it. Been watching since Season 2 and this is season 14.

I have made great progress in the hoarders room. I ordered fabric to make curtains. We painted the room. I have one side of the room organized with my crafts. The other side will have the bed, for company. I need to get a mattress set. I feel so good every time I walk in there. I even got my walk-in closet cleaned and organized.

My eating has been bad lately too. I hate to see what my blood work will be in Sept. My dr. is not going to be happy. I know he will put me back on Niapsan.

Guess I need to get busy here. Everyone have a great week.

Tejas
08-06-2012, 05:03 PM
Pam, yeah, blame Sandra. when she started last week's thread she took us through Monday, not Sunday. So, I just suggested we go through Monday this week. I bet we can adapt.

I going to follow Pam's good lead this afternoon and work in my study and clean a closet. I'd rather take a nap.

My eating has been spectacular today and I went to see my trainer. We are both a little bored with the limited things I can do but it's better to do something than nothing.

We need rain.

Tejas
08-06-2012, 05:31 PM

Pam, I'm hooked on BB, too, and I'm 65. I did miss several seasons, though. Now I'm wishing it came on nightly.
