WW Clubs and Groups - #281 Bale of Turtles Looking Labor Day Right in the Face!
07-27-2012, 09:47 AM
:carrot: :welcome3: We are the Turtle Group here at www.3fatchicks.com. We welcome you to join us as we work toward good health and fitness in a persistent manner. As our inspiration, we use the race between the turtle and the hare where the turtle was the victor because he didn't give up. We believe in keepin' on by using the skills and techniques we have learned from experience to keep us on track. We believe in giving each other support. Good luck to us all!
(for Lin and Lauren)

I got a reminder from my WW buddy that when I overeat the scale doesn't always shoot up right away. Also, once I get my eating in line the scale doesn't always recognize the eating change and gets stuck. But, and this is the important part, when I allow myself to get a bit hungry, when I keep on track and eat the 1200 calories, *I do lose weight.* No matter how slowly it goes on, no matter how impossible it seems, it does still happen. So, I wish all of us :cheer:  :dancer: and  to remember that it doesn't have to be miserable, it just has to be consistent.
I know I'm preaching to the choir, but I wish all of us a great day and a lovely and OP weekend!
07-30-2012, 10:39 AM
Hi everyone - I overdid it abit on weekend, I was away at Elvis Fesival in Collingwood for 2 nights and had a great time. Seen lots of Elvises and weather was awesome. We cooked all our own meals except 1 dinner out at Greek restaurant, so other than a few extra munchies I think I did pretty good.
Hope everyone is back on track after weekend.
07-31-2012, 12:15 PM
Wow! Bandit, your weekend sounded like so much fun. It's great you were able to cook most meals. Always better than eating out as far as calories.
I've been having busy days that end up with us having surprise meals out....just doing a lot. The good thing is that our menus now list caloric count and it seems like the count is close to real since I haven't gained weight the way I used to eating out. Finished up the living room by buying new curtain panels and sheers. It looks comfortable and finished and I like the way it turned out. The paint was still good and the carpet and by switching the den and living room furniture I got a new look without the hassle of having to buy too many new pieces. Just bought one chair. I'll think about new side tables once the dust settles, but honestly it looks fine the way it is.
Staying on track and tracking my food. Slow and steady. I want this weight off and I'm not a patient person!!! Lol. :carrot:
Sending :goodvibes: and  to everyone. Now I know why so many gals at my local WW mtg. drop out of WW in the summer. We'll see them all back again in the fall.
I don't want this time I have to go by without losing weight. Princess, thanks again for the motivation to do this!!!!!
08-01-2012, 06:12 AM
Good morning all and happy Wednesday - I am on track with food but have not been able to exercise and wont be able to for a while. I looks like I did more damage to my neck then previously thought - I go for an MRI today so we will seel.
They have me on a steroid pack to try and lower the pressure and therefore the pain and they have changed my pain meds so I sure hope to get some relief soon.
Being in Onderland is good just hoping I can keep it with the steroids... LOL, they are never kind to me.
Judy: I just love working around the home and I am sure you are enjoying your time doing that now, have fun and I am sure it is going to look wonderful when you are done!
Bandit: Your weekend sounds like it was a blast and over all you made good food choices.... go you!
Has anyone read any new books or anything lately?
08-01-2012, 07:40 AM
Princess I love your American Health Care System getting a MRI so fast is wonderful!!! Here you would wait 2 months and probably have to see a specialist to get one ordered, hope you start feeling better soon!!!! And concrats on onderland!! I am reading the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy! Interesting reading!!!!!!
Bandit You are always on the go!!! Have heard of the Elvis festival sounds like fun!!! I am sure you are looking forward to the long weekend at the trailer!! I know I am!!!
Judy Sounds like you have the knack for interior design being able to change up the furniture with only purchasing a few pieces but having a whole new look!! I wish I was that talented!!!
I have been keepin at it!! YMCA 2 mornings this week, My older son has moved back in for a month or two, until he gets a new place his roommate moved to Toronto for work so he needs to find a place!! Our tiny house just got a lot smaller. I am sure he doesnt want to be here to long and will be a good house guest!!! Heres hoping!! He is a trained chef!!! I am sure we will getting some nice meals, he also needs to shed a few pounds so if his work schedule matches with mine he would like to go to gym and walk with me.
Have a great Wednesday Gals!!!
08-01-2012, 11:17 AM
Princess - keep up the good work and hoping you feel better soon
Judy - nice job on the decorating & always nice when you don't have to spend a fortune doing so!
Terri - Nice to have your son around for awhile even if it is abit cramped, time goes by so quickly so hope you enjoy some gourmet meals that fit with our schedule. The festival was fun and one of the things I always wanted o do.
Went to trailer last night after work & my dd was there & we both stayed the night which was fun. Got in a big walk after our plan friendly dinner of big salad and roasted chicken, then air popped popcorn for night time snack.
So, back on track and my goal is to really be mindful when choosing meals.
Too easy to keep saying "this/that is treat" and keep going round & round.
All - good luck at the scale!
08-01-2012, 02:11 PM
Princess - I just started reading Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill
which is a ghost story type thing. So far I like it.
08-02-2012, 11:14 AM
Princess, :bravo: :balloons: :dancer:  weigh to go getting into onederland! I hope the meds are kind. I know you'll do everything you can to keep on keepin' on. Feel better . We're all pulling for you.
Bandit, love your words about what is a treat and how many of them we can have. Makes so much sense. Glad you and dd had a great time together.
Terri, enjoy having your son home. A walking partner is so cool!
I'm getting close to switching over to Filling Foods or the old Core program.
Turns out I had a procedure that required eye drops.......never knew they were steroids and after 6 weeks of really good dieting I found out. No wonder my scale didn't move in the right direction. ugh. So, I'm off them now and am hoping to continue my good work to see a drop on the scale
As far as books, I just read Heft by Liz Moore. It's about a morbidly obese man and the characters who enter his life. I thought it was really good.
Congrats to all of us for staying with our program, working hard, exercising and eating right. We're doing great. We are doing this.
08-02-2012, 12:27 PM
So the past few weeks I basically stayed same at scale (even with overdoing it) but last night at ww the scale was up 2# although I had a fairly big lunch which might have contributed. But I was disappointed of course.
Anyway, just goes to show we can squeak by at times, but eventually it will show up at the scale.
Have extra long weekend to challenge me but really going to try and get in some extra walking. That I have not been doing as much as I was, so am sure that is playing in role in my gain.
Anyway, enough complaining and I will just get on with it, be accountable and move on.
Have a great day!
08-02-2012, 09:33 PM
Hi Everyone! Quick update here - I had to rush DH to the hospital yesterday afternoon as his Diverticulitis was flaring up and the meds were not working he was in the operating room all night last night for them to repair the colon that was perforated, the surgery went well and he will be in the hospital for a while with a longer recovery and lots of challenges and we need to get past the danger of infection yet because he did rupture internally... so I am working from home and the hospital room for now and coming home to sleep a bit and tend to the dogs.
The thing is that I have lost my appetite which I never do! LOL - I have to make myself have a yogurt or some toast for the past two days but I am sure that will even out... ugh, that if why I am a Weight Watcher forever.
Will post when I can - good luck everyone!
08-05-2012, 10:55 AM
What a miserable thing to happen. I'm sending prayers for a good recovery for your husband. I'm so sorry this happened. Please know we're all thinking of you and sending :goodvibes: and :grouphug: to you and your husband.
I'm frustrated because I have been sticking to 1200cal/day and the weight still hasn't budged. The drops my doctor prescribed for my eyes were steroid drops........and I'm thinking here I go again. I know most people who have steroids gain weight so I need to be thankful I didn't do that. However, I'm working so hard......have been working so hard for the last six weeks and I'm actually up a bit. Whine, Whine, Whine......I know so many people have it much harder, but I'd like to catch a break.
All I can do is keep on keepin' on. I've changed up my food a bit closer to Filling Foods and Core and I'm hoping that will help. Also coming away from the eyedrops may help as well.
Sending :goodvibes: to all of us. Yep Bandit,.....I know what you mean about "getting away" with an extra bite here and there and all at once it comes back to bite us on the scale. Sending  and :cheer: to all of us to keep this going and to use these next weeks of summer well!!!!
Terri, keep up the good work at the gym.:exercise:
Cherry, keep on doing what you're doing!:chef:
Life4, are you working this summer? It must be such a relief to have school over.
Good luck to all the turtles!
234.6/192/thinner into 170's
08-08-2012, 06:24 AM
Good morning everyone - just a quick hello here, I have been eating more this week so I am not sure that is a good thing as the scale is not moving at all but right now it is not my priority but I am still trying to keep myself healthy and would be happy with staying the same.
I am sure missing my cycle classes though, what a great stress relief they were. I go to the spine doctor today and will find out the results of the MRI - eager to hear what he has to say.
I also am reading the Shades of Gray books, kind of stalled now but I will pick it up again soon, just don't really have the time right now.
Hope everyone is enjoying their week and doing great!
08-08-2012, 01:41 PM
Good to hear from you , Princess. How is your husband doing? Sending :goodvibes: to you and him.
I missed going to WW mtg. so I went back today. It was good to see friends. Smaller mtg., but I think that's what happens in the summer.
Good luck to all of us!!! Keep thinking thin!
08-08-2012, 06:34 PM
Gallbladder surgery along with another surgery at the same time tomorrow afternoon. I am very nervous. Also it is that TOM. Hopefully though by tomorrow evening i will be home and recovering quickly.:?: Everyone keep up the good work.
08-09-2012, 11:52 AM
Hi everyone - trying to catchup on the posts
Princess - hope you husband is doing well and you are coping with everything
Judy - hoping changing up your food plan is helping
Terri - We are in for some much needed rain, suppose to keep up til Sunday
Cherry - nice to see you posting again and hope everything goes well with your surgery.
All - hope you are all doing well at the scales.
I was down 1# last night at ww (missing tonight at Tops since going to concert) but really have been struggling over the summer. Some think it is easier to lose weight in summer, but not the case with me. And I know having lots of social things is not an excuse, but really hard with snacks/drinks and outside patio events.
And when it was extremely hot, I missed my regular walks. This past week I walked 3 days which seemed to budge the scale in right direction for a change.
I know I sound like whining but seriously I get so frustrated with all these gains & even though they are small they have added up over summer.
Anyway, I was glad to be down especially with being away over the long weekend.
All - lets keep moving in the right direction - no excuses!
08-09-2012, 04:07 PM
Cherry, sending :goodvibes: and :bravo: to you and :balloons: for a wonderful quick and healing recovery. You'll be fine. Please let us know how you make out.
Bandit, good for your :goodscale: You are not the only one with summer/losing conditions. Many of the girls in my WW group feel the same way. For myself, I do much better once the fall starts. The crisper, dryer less humid weather encourages me to walk more. My best friend in WW says that she hates to be a whiner but she never has ever in her life lost weight over the summer. She's already lost 60# and is doing everything she can to keep it off. Then her next step is to lose more.....just like me.
As far as me, it hit me like a bang to my head in the middle of the night. I had completely forgotten that when I had a simple procedure, part of the recovery was to take cortisone/prednisone. I do not do well with that and I always gain weight with those meds even when I diet hard!!!!! I know I'm not alone in that. So although I've gained weight during our challenge and hat's off to Princess who has done so well even with all the huge challenges she's facing including an emergency trip to hospital for hubby and her own need of an MRI, I finally have figured out why the scale hasn't been responding the way I wanted. I feel so stupid for simply forgetting about this. Ugh. So now, even though the scale isn't where I want, I know that the steroids will eventually leave my body and as long as I keep on dieting I will lose the weight. I am aiming for Core in the near future but with this idea in mind I am going to stick with the froz. food menus I've been using and switch to Core more completely when I feel my body is able to release weight again.
Hey, sorry this got so personal and so long. Love you guys!
Terri, how are you doing?
Jars, I see you on facebook. You are one lovely gal!
Hey Life4, how are things going for you?
:goodvibes: and :grouphug: to all of us and all our challenges. You are the best.
08-10-2012, 06:58 AM
Good morning everyone... just a quick hello to you all. DH is getting a bit better each day, they took some tubes out yesterday and with any luck he may be coming home this weekend!
Cherry: Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Bandit: I hear your frustration and just know that we are all here with you and summer is quickly coming to an end... you will be back into the losing here soon I just know it!
Judy: I know you have a lot going on but your plan to successed it firm... you will do this!
08-10-2012, 11:19 AM
Thanks for the good news about your husband, Princess! And the cheery notes of encouragement to us all.
I feel much better about my weight loss/no weight loss now that I've figured out what's going on. Not fun, but sensible and I'll get through this.
08-12-2012, 06:36 AM
HI all and happy Sunday! Brought DH home from the hospital late Friday evening so now we are setting into a long recovery here at the house... we have a very long road to travel I fear but we are both still here we are together and we are going to be ok.
Judy: You hang in there! the meds are wicked we both know that but you will get thru and be on the other side in no time!
Bandit: hope you are enjoying your weekends at the lake!
Terri: How are you doing?
Cherry: hope your sugerys went well and that you are on the mend!
Life: How are you doing?
Here is an interesting tidbit for you all. A few weeks back when I was going to get the first spinal injection I had to go off of all blood thinners and since I take lots of supplements. etc and don't know if they are blood thinners or not for the most part I stopped taking EVERYTHING! Vitamins, everything I stopped... I have dropped 10 lbs since I stopped taking those... now I have had a lot of other things going on as well and have just not been eating like I was before but I thought it was noteworthy and would pass it along.
08-13-2012, 06:58 AM
Just a fly by check in! I am here! caught up with posts!!
Well wishes to Princess (her husband!) and Cherry!!!
Off to gym have been MIA for the last week!!!
08-14-2012, 08:14 AM
Have been working 10 hour days!!! Worn out!!! Did make it to Y yesterday morning. Eating has been my usual so so,
Princess hope hubby is feeling a bit better everyday! and you too!!!
Judy hope you get off the puffy prednisone soon!!!
Bandit!! you rock as usual! no excuses!!
Cherry hope you are on the mend too!!!
We wanted rain we got it!!!
08-14-2012, 10:33 AM
Princess - hope you hubby is doing well and you are handling everything.
Judy - hope you are also coping with your meds & as you know the weight
will go down when it can
Cherry - hope you are OK with your medical issues and staying in control
My goodness - what a group, lots of medical stuff going on
Terri - yes, the rain has been coming and now for sure grass cutting at home/trailer is on this weekends list. Weekend suppose to be cooler but sunny which will be great to get outdoor chores until control again.
Nice job on getting to the Y and working such long days, good for you!
I went bowling last night and that was fun. Been staying on track, planning meals ahead and behaving myself. Going to movies tonight to see Hope Springs which looks really good. I like Meryl Streep & Tommy Lee Jones so should be fun. My plan is to eat beforehand & skip the popcorn
All - hope everyone is having a great week!
08-15-2012, 10:53 AM
Behaving yourself is a great  Bandit, that made me laugh!!!!
Okay, quick read through the posts. I'm back from Hershey Park with dh,
dd, dsil, and dgrandson. It was really good. We were there three days. Food choices were tough, but walking was good. Now back to reality. Looks like, although my weight is up......it was already up and the trip didn't do much damage. Yay! Hate weighing this much, so I'll just apply myself, stop whining, face reality, and keep on keepin' on. the weight will release when it wants.
Going to my WW mtg. now.
08-15-2012, 10:57 AM
Princess, somehow I missed page one and your good news about having your dh home. :balloons: for a quick recovery. :goodvibes: for you to keep your energy and spirits up.
As far as the supplements, this is quite interesting to me. Thanks for the input. It certainly bears looking into.
08-15-2012, 02:09 PM
Hi turtles - Made it through the movie with no popcorn and for me that is something. Having dinner planned beforehand helped, but still I always make room for popcorn, so was happy.
Judy - sounds like you had a great time being away and good for you for getting in walking. I find that really helps even if I have a few extras.
All - good luck at the scale this week
08-15-2012, 11:21 PM
I got to come home after surgery the same day despite actually having 2 different surgeries done at the same time. I am still dealing with a little nausea and light headedness and it is 6 days after the procedure. I gained some weight and it hasnt leveled off yet but i am hoping that most of it is caused by surgery and once my body gets used to functioning without a gallbladder it will be better.:?:
08-16-2012, 03:58 PM
Bandit, weigh to go skipping movie popcorn! It is so tempting. :balloons:
Cherry, so glad you're back home. You'll be feeling great soon. I have a feeling you may be holding water from the surgery which is very common.
Holding fluids in cells and in the area that was disrupted where you had your surgery. Thanks for chiming in. You're doing so great this year. Look at your total! Weigh to go.
08-17-2012, 08:01 AM
Looking forward to some weekend R&R!!!
Cherry you'll be on the mend in no time!! Feeling a bit better everyday!
All lets keep at it! No giving up, things are really clicking for some, others (like me) are hanging in!!! Keepin at it waiting for the click!!!
08-18-2012, 08:57 AM
Hello everyone and happy Saturday! I am skipping WW this week and will just not do a W/I... I am just plain worn out and need a break.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weekend.
08-18-2012, 10:11 AM
Hi turtles - just getting ready to head out to trailer for a few days,
so planning on getting in some walks/swims up there.
Turtled at my weigh in, not complaining since if scale not going down, at least it didn't go up. I find if I get in some walking, those are the weeks I lose and my knees feel better, any reason to get moving.
Hope you all have a great weekend!
08-19-2012, 10:30 AM
Whole family here and I'm beat. Food could be better, but I'll work on it.
Stopping by to say hello.
08-19-2012, 07:57 PM
Scale is headed back down and i am thrilled. Looks like everyone is doing fairly well. Just keep up the hard work. I still feel nauseated off and on but i think it is getting better. I did have to cut out my decafinated coffee atleast for now. I guess the acid doesnt like my not having a gallbladder.
08-20-2012, 06:06 AM
Good morning everyone and happy monday... did not go to weigh in this weekend - just did not have the energy. I need get out and start walking again for many reasons but most of all due to working from home all the time now because of my husband I am just not getting in any exercise and the home scale is starting to show that.
Have a great day everyone!
08-20-2012, 12:34 PM
Well, I got my home grass and trailer grass cut this weekend & that was
3 hours of work, but all caught up in both places. With the heat then rain, I couldn't get the house grass done for a few weeks so big job there.
I only got in 1 walk/swim at trailer so need to get more walks in this week.
Eating good have been better - few too many treats/drinks
Goal this week is to stay on track & walk more
Judy - hope you rest up from all your company
Princess - You have lots going on so hoping you get some down time for yourself and get in some kind of exercise, which we all know helps.
Cherry - glad to hear your scale is going down, good for you
Terri - hope you had a great weekend. Our weather was great although Sat evening at the lake was chilly in the night but great around the campfire.
All - lets hang in there and drop some weight this week!
08-20-2012, 10:07 PM
Company home and it's time for me to get real!
:goodvibes: to all of us. You're the best!
08-21-2012, 08:06 AM
Went to gym Monday did 40 min on treadmill, ate pretty well all day. Went home with a headache and woke up with a headache!!!
Glad you are all checking in and keepin at it!!! Its all we can do!!
Not feeling very positive today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
08-21-2012, 09:32 PM
Terri! Look at your post!!!!! You did 40 minutes on the :tread: and that's wonderful . Give yourself a pat on the back. I know it's tough to not do everything the way we want to to get great results, but you're working on it!
That's all any of us can do. :balloons:
08-23-2012, 09:49 AM
Thanks Judy!!! I know you are right!!! Feeling more positive today!!!!!!!! Having a 4 day weekend!!! So will hopefully rest up and perk up!!!!
08-23-2012, 07:03 PM
Yep, all of us can use extra sleep, rest, and relaxation so we can get right up and shop for healthy foods and cook them and eat them.......and then get some exercise! Sounds like a plan.
Gals, we can do this!
Please everyone think of the positive, avoid the negative and pat yourself on your back every time you do something good. If in this process anyone is perfect, please let me know how you do it!!
Weather has broken here. Nice sunny day. Had a pleasant day and am back on track. Always a good thing.
:goodvibes: to us all!
08-24-2012, 07:22 AM
Good morning everyone and happy friday. We are on the mend here, still struggling with bad headaches but going for physical therapy and to a chiropractor starting today so we will see how that all plays out.
The scale is going back up so I need to get my head back in the game!
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the nicer weather.
08-24-2012, 11:41 AM
Princess, yes, you don't want to give back your nice weight loss. However, cut yourself some slack since you've had tough times. Are you back at work yet? :goodvibes: and  to help you out!
Everybody, keep on keepin' on.
Bandit, will you be at lake this weekend?
Terri, is this a Canadian 4-day weekend? Our Labor Day is coming up soon.
Cherry, how are you feeling?
Life4evr, how's things going?
Jars, I see you and your crochet work on Facebook. Really great!
Okay, sending  to you all! Am counting on having another good day.
My weight is way up, but I'm working on it and I'm still in onederland.
08-26-2012, 11:12 AM
Good morning everyone and happy Sunday! I made it to WI yesterday but since I had over slept I missed the meeting. I was up 1.4 so over all it could have been worse since it is TOM I was not that unhappy with it.
Judy: I have been working from home with only a quick stop into the office once or twice since this all happened. I will get back into the swing of things here soon but for right now working from home seems best. Hope you are doing well!
Hope everyone is going ok and having a nice weekend... Labor Day is next weekend... how did that get her so quickly!
08-26-2012, 04:22 PM
Princess, with TOM I think you've held onto your weight loss! Incredible.
Good for you and I hope your dh is feeling better each day!
Bandit, Cherry, Terri, Life sending :goodvibes: to all of us. I've ended the summer up higher than I started, but I've been working with adjusting a few things and I'm hopeful again. I think the Labor Day Challenge was smart to work with because it kept me trying even though the scale didn't cooperate. Onward and Downward!!!! We can do this!
08-26-2012, 08:58 PM
Princess - this upcoming weekend is our Labour Day weekend with Monday being the official holiday, so for me since I don't work Fridays I will have a 4 day weekend
Judy - I am in same boat as you, just didn't lose what I wanted for our challenge but probably would have done worse if we hadn't had the challenge to think of. But you did great with hanging in there.
Princess - you have done really well with your weight loss, and a little gain will be gone in no time.
Terri - how you liking this weather? I was at trailer for a few days and spent lots of time in the water, as soon as I dried off I was hot again, so back in the water.
Got in a few walks, swims but overdid it again with the food this weekend.
New week starting tomorrow, so all lets refocus and get to it!
08-26-2012, 11:15 PM
Always smart to refocus.
After not getting much exercise this week, today I weeded and worked in the garden for 1 1/2 hours, played in the pool, and then bowled 2 games with my dd, dgrandson, and dh. Busy day and instead of feeling tired, I'm energized. Yay.
Let's have a great week. Sending :grouphug: to all of us.
08-27-2012, 07:50 AM
Hey All!!! We are almost at the end!!!! (Summer and challenge!)

08-27-2012, 05:58 PM
Terri - nice job on sticking with the challenge! Good for you.
Judy - sounds like you had a busy day, nice
Princess - hope you are doing well and getting some rest for yourself.
This week I am going to get in more exercise. This a.m. I pulled out my
Walk Away the Pounds 3 mile video, which I completed before work & tonight
I have bowling. So good start to the week.
All - I really need to do better
08-27-2012, 09:39 PM
Terri, thanks for the clarity on 4day weekend. That was cute!! Congrats and :bravo: on :exercise: through the summer. That is really great and I'm so glad the challenge helped you!!!!
Bandit, weigh to go on getting the exercise :tread: in and the bowling. I realize how much I do enjoy it when I go with my family. Good to get out and have fun.
08-29-2012, 11:20 AM
On track & yesterday I did 2 miles of my tape in the a.m. and went for
a hour long walk at the lakefront with some gfs, gorgeous night for that
and tonight I have a walking date, so that will be abit different.
Hope all you gals are doing great!
08-29-2012, 07:59 PM
Bandit, love to see that exercise you're working in.
I was reminded today of what a difference a day can make. Sunday was great. Monday was terrible. So depressing with a billion tiny medical "issues" that any one taken by itself was nothing, but all together it was a bit much. Woke up Tuesday determined to turn things around at least in my head which I did. Then today my dh got on track and has decided to work hard to keep himself healthy. We headed out to the boardwalk (do I sense the applause??), then ran errands. Also turned out that he is needed to continue working part time two nights a week for about four hours each. He teaches science at a community college and it's so good for his brain to keep on keepin' on. so, although we thought he'd take this semester off, he has decided to work this semester anyway. So, one day here, another day there and everything can change. I need to remember that each day is a gift and that we can turn anything around. It's a good feeling.
I hope this makes sense because I'm rambling
Sending :goodvibes: and :grouphug: to all of us who have gotten through the summer. I'm all for patting ourselves on the back for all the good things we accomplished. Onward and downward.

Looks like things have been a little slow on here. No thanks to me, huh? I am feeling fairly good since the surgery and atleast have been able to drink more water without feeling horribly full. Weight this week down to 172.8 My first goal on my ticker was 175 but i am not really sure how low i want to go. I have never been small and feeling pretty comfortable with myself now. I am thinking maybe another 10 pounds for now. My husband has lost a lot of weight also and we both cant believe how different we look. I do want to adventually work towards some toning cause i do have a little loose skin but exercise is hard for me right now with the stomach issues and surgery.
Hey to all the turtles. Hope everyone is having a good day. We are almost to the weekend. Just keep on keepin' on.:D:hug:

Cherry, I am blown away by your success!!!! I admire you so much. You did all this with so many challenges!!!! :bravo: :goodscale: :balloons:
Good for all us Turtles to have you chime in with your success.
Having a good day. Food is better. Exercise is better. Weather broke here for a bit and I could walk outside. Over the weekend it's supposed to be real hot again, but then I'll swim. Sounds like a plan. We expect kids, etc. over the weekend and BBQ, so it should be fun.
Wishing you all a great weekend!!!! Official end of summer, but it's been nice.

Judy- Thank you for the kind words. Though i feel like many of the challenges is what help me break through and start losing weight. I had an addiction to carbs in pizza and if i went for longer than three days i had actual break downs with full blown panic attacks and it was scary but when it triggered several gallbladder attacks that brought me to my knees i had no choice but to stop eating them. Once i was through that strong addiction part I have really made huge changes in my eating and am actually thankful for the challenges that helped me. Even though i was in pain daily there for awhile.

Hi everyone and happy Friday! still very busy here and trying to get back to normal. I have started Physical Therapy and also to see a chiropractor so hopefully that will help.
Scale is up even more this week but I know I have been snacking more and that needs to stop.
Take care everyone!

DD and dgrandson here starting Labor Day weekend a little early. I'm just back from food shopping and was kind to myself by buying cut up veggies and fruit for snacking. Also saw a tiny shrimp ring that works for us. Yay.
I'm tired, but the main stuff is done.
Have a great weekend.
So glad the challenges are working out for us. Maybe we'll take a little break and then set up a Halloween challenge. What do you think?
Cherry, that is an amazing pizza story. Wow! So glad you could work through panic attacks and pain to get to your outcome. You've done so well.
Princess, hoping the chiropractor can help you out a lot! :goodvibes:
To everybody: have a great weekend!!! :balloons: I'm doing so much better again.

Hi turtles - extra long weekend which was great and the weather was absolutely fabulous. Raining today, buts that OK - the weekend is what mattered the most weatherwise.
Terri - yes, loving the heat and my walking date was good. We had gone for dinner 2 times before the walking & he is a nice fellow, but I don't feel any
attraction there other than some company. So we will see
Cherry - congrats on such a great weight loss!
Judy/Princess - glad you ladies are doing OK and Judy, nice job on being prepared food-wise (I love getting the fruit all cut up & I think you will eat more of it that way, rather than throwing 1/2 in garbage)
I had lots of fun on weekend, sitting on patio, dancing, sitting around the fire and having a few too many snacks & drinks. But, I did get some walking & swimming in but I do feel bloated and tired today.
So, lets all get back at what we know makes us feel good.
Have a great week!
