Default Two Questions

Hello...

I have a friend who just started IP, and though I suggested the boards, she has not really checked them out yet.

She asked me two questions, which I am hoping I answered correctly

Sparkling Water okay on P1? I said just be sure 0 fat 0 cal 0 carbs, and you are fine....was that correct?

She takes B12, and is worried since it is fruit base she may not get into Ketosis...thoughts?

Thank you in advance!

I took b12 like that throughout IP with no problems. The sparkling water thing, I don't know, I think all carbonated beverages should be a no go for anyone trying to eat healthy as they are of no benefit to our bodies, they stretch the stomach and deplete calcium.

My coach suggested carbonated water if it helped me reach my water minimum for the day.

just wanted to say i drink carbonated water and stevia sodas and i'm on week 22(except for plateaus here and there) never had any problems, always lost 2.5~3 lbs a week. Also you can't "stretch" your stomach, your stomach size stays the same your entire adult life.

I don't know if I agree with you about not being able to stretch the stomach. My best friend had gastric bypass where they make a small pouch from your old stomach, she could only eat a couple spoonfulls of food, in time she managed to regain all of the weight she lost and is eating just as much if not more than she did before she had the bypass. If her stomach is not stretched, how could she hold all that food without puking?
