Thought I'd drop a quick hello in here. I've been posting around the site for a couple months (give or take a day or two) but I haven't been in here because .. well .. I wasn't lifting. :)

Last weekend I finally had enough money to go out and pick up a starter freeweight set (160 pounds) and a rack bench with leg extensions. I've been hitting Krista's site and a few others, getting tips on form, etc. So, now I'm lifting again, and it feels great. I've missed it.

I've enjoyed reading through the posts here, they've been very informative and helpful.

RavenToy, welcome!

Are you following any specific lifting program, or doing your own thing?

So far, just putting together my own routines compiled from various sources. The last time I lifted seriously was about 20 years ago when I was a powerlifter. But things have changed a bit since then. :D I just keep reading and learning.

Right now doing Upper/Lower splits - twice a week. I'm still not settled on either routine, kind of experimenting here and there. I'm working with my daughter, which is good for me. In teaching her, I'm having to learn a lot myself.

Congratulations on making a great decision(about lifting, that is, although participating in this forum's pretty good too)!
