Default How much have you lost?

Hello everyone. I just started IP a week ago. I lost 12 pounds in my first week which was rather shocking. I have never lost that much in one week. I am happy with losing a pound or two a week. I have 55 more pounds to lose. I thought it would be motivational if I asked everyone to post how much weight they have lost and how long it took them. I was also curious if people were exercising as I was told not to.

I am at 40 lbs in 10 weeks. No set exercise plan at all, but I do walk a lot (have no car) and I do a little yoga once in a while. Great job on your 12 lb loss!

I've lost just under 27lbs in 9 weeks (with one weekend where I drank heavily ). I started exercising about 4-5 weeks back walking and doing a weight program dvd at home that keeps me energized. I like that i have hung on to my lean mass while losing fat mass only since starting it. Last week I started running again (training for a 1/2 marathon in November) and so far haven't seen any sequalae from working out.

141 lbs in a year to the day almost - which would have been faster if I hadn't gone to Mexico (did a mini phase off). Well done on your first week, I remember hitting 40 lbs at 8 weeks. You can see my year stats on my link.

Try not to worry about how fast it will be you can drive yourself INSANE which will lead to keeping some of the weight on (stress can do that).

I didn't exercise during not consistently I would if someone wanted to go for a walk but I didn't make it part of my plan (others have!) but I've ramped it up in maintenance and I'm enjoying exercise now .

I've "officially" lost 64lb in 19 weeks - but "unofficially" I have had a total of -4.2lb whooshing since my Friday WI - so let's call it 68lb in 19.5 weeks! I have gone from a size 16 to a size 2. My BMI has gone from Obese to Normal, and my Body Fat Percentage has gone from 43% to 27% (so far).

My coach advised me to keep it very low intensity exercise during Phase 1 after the first 2 weeks. I did very light, slow walking from Day 1 until ~Week 13 of IP (when it got too hot), but that was 'non-negotiable' as I was taking my son to the park to play ~2.5mi @ ~22min/mi pace. I now take my son to the mall play area and just can't get motivated to mall walk - but I did pick up weightlifting in the interim. I timed the walks to be after my 4pm snack so I would have the necessary calories, it was roundtrip to the park with ~45minute break in the middle while my son played.

I also restarted my weightlifting class 2x/week on Week 8 of IP, at a MUCH lower intensity - I upped it to 3x/week ~Week 13 (when I stopped walking to the park) - and I recently upped my weights ~Week 17 of IP. I still hold back a bit as I don't want to get too intense exercise in Phase 1, as it can cause your body to burn muscle/organs for 'quick energy', which you do not want, but I still 'feel it'. I add a 4th packet on weightlifting days.

I am going on vacation tomorrow and staying in Phase 1 for the next 2 weeks (as I'm missing this weeks WI) but will start phasing off when I get back! So excited - as it not only means I can start running again in Phase 3...but then it's BABY MAKING TIME in Phase 4! The whole goal of this journey was to prepare my body for Baby #2, as Baby #1 completely wrecked my back (3 bulging disks aggravating 2 nerves running down my leg) and the only way to prevent/minimize damage was to reduce the stress on my body (aka, lose weight!).

I have lost 26lbs in 6 weeks! I do Body Pump 2x/week and walk on the treadmill 3-4 times a week for an hour at a moderate pace. I added ab crunches this past week into the routine.

Congrats on your first week loss. That's amazing!

Everyone is amazing! I've lost 21 in five weeks and am very happy with that. Congrats on your first week loss.

I loved the heavy drinking comment (did that myself once and regretted it).

Ishbel your loss is simply fantastic!
