I know we've got the Easter Challenge going, but since Easter is so late this year, I was wondering if we'd like to have an overlapping challenge going on.

Any thoughts or takers?

Sounds good. It's May 25th, so it would be just over a month long. Just something to be thinking about perhaps :)

I'm totally down for a challenge. If only I could stop eating! I mean, this weekend was a total eating disaster that can be summed up in two two-word phrases: Cheesecake Factory and Burger King. What was I thinking!

Memorial Day sounds like a great time to get those beach bodies in gear, ladies!

Bella-I'm in the same spot, I met my Easter goal yesterday, and passed it by a pound.

How about this. Let's just start it now, and whoever's ready to jump in can, and those who would like to wait til Easter can join later.

So...if you'd like to join the challenge now, what's your goal?

Mine is to be 240 by Memorial Day. That's 20 pounds away, and it's 8 weeks away. I think I can...I think I can...I think I can...

I know this is late, but I'm ALL for it.... I need a good challenge.... I haven't jumped in on any challenges yet, so I'm gonna do this one..... ok so Memorial Day is about 5 weeks away now I think, so my goal is going to be 275 by then...... *cross fingers* hehe.... I think I can....no no no... I mean I KNOW I CAN!!!!!!!! That would be a loss of 12 pounds for me.... (I think.... ) hehe

Since I haven't made any goals yet (but I'm holding out hope for Easter!), I will say that I want to be 225 by Memorial Day.

On Mamorial weekend, I'll be married for 7 years, WOW!

My goal is just to stay on program. I would also like to be at or lower then 269lbs!

I think I'll set a Memorial Day goal of 236 (that would be an eight pound loss). Eight pounds in five weeks should be doable :crossed:

Let's see here. I think I will set my goal at 262. I am at 276 right now so that is 14 lbs. It is a pretty lofty goal for me (since I lose weight slowly due to PCOS), but I am going for it! Since my June 5th goal is 260, that will get me closer.

I have to say that these challenges really do it for me! Thanks for having them!

I think I will just extend my Easter Goal to Memorial Day. My sons 6th Birthday is on May 28th so I will have to work hard and keep my mind on the task at hand. I want to be at 275 which is 7 pounds off. I hope I can do it.

I just love that y'all have these challenges, they are such a wonderful idea :) I'm excited as this will be my first one. I would love to be 15 lbs. lighter by Memorial Day. That would be a loss of approx. 5 pounds a week and would put me at 220 lbs. and as a result would make me a very, very happy girl :D!!!

Haven't done a challenge in a long time, but I'm feeling strong right now. I'll see how this one goes.

I'm at 292 now. I would like to be down to 285 by Memorial Day. That's 7 lbs. I think I can...I think I can...I think I can...

If you all don't mind I'd like to join in on this challenge, this will be my first one. So I just weighed myself and I'm at 231 so I would like to be down to 220. 11 pounds shouldn't be too bad. :crossed:

I've never done a challenge here either...I'm definitely game! Let's see, by Memorial Day I would like to be 225. I'm 230 right now so that's a five pound loss. Doesn't sound like a huge amount, but I've been exercising a lot and making muscle (I hope!). I don't want to set the bar too high!

I'd like to lose five pounds - that would put me at 208. I'd really like to set it lower but I've been plateauing so long that 208 looks like a mountain right now.

I thought I'd dig this old thread back up since it's May 2, and now I'm ready to commit to a challenge. (i'm not good at long-term commitments) With that said, I want to go for a huge one this month. (actually, not by memorial day, but by memorial week, if you will, LOL-may 30) I want to see 6lbs gone. That will bring me in at 190, which is a loss of 20% of my total starting weight.

[I decided to measure my losses in 10% increments, so the first was from 234 to 211 (at 211 I joined weight watchers) and then from there to 190. my ultimate goal is 171, and then, depending on my size then, I may continue to 154 (where I am usually about an 8--the smallest size I could be without looking crazy). but that's talking sooooo long term. can you guys tell i'm bored at work? I've been posting so much!]

i've moved mine to actually be a gradaution goal. i gradaute june 15th, and my weigh in will be on the 10th that week. still shooting for onederland.

Well, with last week's gain, I'm 15 away from my original goal, so I'm going to knock 5 of that and shoot for 245, which is 10 pounds from here. Good luck all!

Ack... I didn't have a Memorial Day goal. I guess I missed that thread along the way while I was gone. But I would say that my M.D. goal would be to have settled in to this low-carb stuff. It sure is challenging!!!! LOL!

I'll never make what I had originally planned but that's ok because I quit smoking 2 weeks ago and I'm happy just maintaining thru it all. Maybe I'll be better situated for our next challenge, what will that be July 4th?

Since I just came back to this site yesterday and only have over a week I will make it an easy goal-two pounds. I know, not very challenging but it will be nice to say I reached it and then it will be on to the next challenge-July 4th I guess?? :D

Well, I made my Memorail Day goal!!!! I not only made it, I surpassed it by 2 pounds!!!! YAY. I almost didn't thibk I was going to make it. That was fun!!!

I missed my goal of 208 by two pounds ending up at 210. But that does mean I lost a few so I'm happy. And I'm double happy I got past that long plateau.

I know I am late posting this but it's been crazy here. My wedding is tommorow. We are having a mini honeymoon Sunday and Monday then our honeymoon cruise is June 8th! I was 1/2 pound over my Memorial Day goal but that is OK. I really haven't been watching it at all. I plan to get back on track after the honeymoon and the moving in together is over with. We are moving into a new house together, so the craziness won't end for a while it seems!!
