I'm kinda excited about this so I figured, why not, I'll share it. I decided last year that I was going to go to Disney/Universal this summer and fit on every ride.

There was no way I was going to have to try to fit into a ride and have to leave in front of everyone because I was too big. Plus, I didn't want to have to worry for my son on bench rides because the bar would stop on me and he'd still have a foot of room on him to fly out of.

I was pretty lofty in my initial ideas of a goal, but aren't we all? (170, 140??!) My realistic goal was that I wanted to be under 200 for the trip, and I made it as we're going tomorrow. I can't believe it, but I did it. :D

Now, to work on not gaining while I'm there and finding the motivation to continue on when I get back. I suppose that's part 2.........

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing. After working so hard for part 1, I am sure that you will succeed in part 2.

That's fantastic! :cheer:

My husband and I have the same goal! We're going to Disney World over Thanksgiving and I've challenged myself to be at 230 or lower by then. I'm on my way!

Have a magical magical vacation!! You deserve it. Great work!!

Last year DH and I were going to go to an amusement park, but when I heard this particular place was strict on 'sizing' I chickened out. Hoping we'll hit it by the end of this summer instead and I'll have no worries!

Congratulations Vex on reaching that first goal weight and have a blast on your trip! I think it's a great idea to have such a reward in sight as you lose weight, extra motivation never hurts.
