A new game:

It's easy to think of things that upset us--in the world, in our communities, in our families, or with ourselves.

In a word or short phrase (in order to keep the thread moving along)
what things give you peace?

I'll start with one that is practically universal ~ flowers!
(Okay, what else would you expect from me?)

Prayer. Nature. A hug. Those are three things that come immediately to mind.

Moving my body whether it's yoga, dance or or strength training when I build up a good sweat I feel so thankful for the ability to move and the energy that runs through my body. Feels soooo good.

Intimacy.

Mind and/or Emotional intimacy (ex: secrets and deep thoughts shared) with friends.

And then DH gets intimacy across the board -- mind, heart, body, soul.

Sharing on deep levels with people I care about like that, intimately, gives me great peace inside.

knitting a gift for someone.

sitting in my backyard swing in the cool weather, birds chirping and a breeze blowing my windchimes around. Preferably next to my Hubby

Phillips, Craig and Dean's song called "Inside Out". I only have to hear the first few notes and I can feel my blood pressure drop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prGl5kOzDWc

Classical music (instrumental)--esp Pachebel's Canon; scented candles, our neighborhood "pond" - ducks quacking, robins chirping...

...and reading your posts! :grouphug:

My pets.
Creepypasta and other horror stories. They shift my focus on what I'm currently worried about to whatever's in the story.
