Annie is that the same thing as Walk Strong. I've been wondering if there were other dvds with weights. Still doing 2mi. with 5lb weights.

Carol, I don't think so. It doesn't say Walk Strong anywhere on the box. It is 2 miles in 30 min. It came with 2 pound hand weights. The walkers use either no weights, one pounds, two pounds or three pounds in this walk. I usually do 2 pounds in each hand, sometimes add 1 pound to each for a total of 3 pounds in each hand.

I'm back and ready to get back on track! I told myself I was going to enjoy my time away (went to AR to visit family) and get back to walking/exercising!, tomorrow is that day! Can't believe that it is July already!

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the new Just Walk 4 Mile Power Walk... and I love it!!! what a workout! I know this... walking at the mall during lunch does not compare to these newer walks of Leslies whew!

Annie, where are you going on vacation? have fun!!!

2 mile (WATP) Slim & Thin...trying to get back on track after no exercise for 5 days, ugh! I think next time I am going to see if I can get a dvd player in the motel and at least do a 30 mn workout!

We take our computer on vacation and I just use that to do a half hour workout.

Oh my goodness Carol! My son took his laptop...didn't even think about using that, good grief! Most definitely will next time!

So far this morning I have done the WATP 2 mile slim and thin and the 1 mile with booster. Plan either a walk outdoors this evening, mowing the backyard or another dvd, depends on how hot it gets today and whether or not I feel like getting out in it, lol!

A lot of people don't know what the slim and thin dvd is so I posted a link above, and of the 1 mile walk. I love doing the slim-shape-sculpt ones...hate lunges and squats but it's not so much that I can't or won't do.

Hey ladies! I got in the 3 Mile Weight Loss walk with 2# weights this morning. Would love to say I'll get in more before we leave Sunday for our vacation week, but I'd probably be lying. I have vowed to get back on track seriously with exercise and food when we return.

I thought of using my laptop to play a DVD while gone, but not sure there is room in our tiny little cottage. I may try to get out and walk around the resort area.

Lots to do before Sunday. If I don't check in, I will when I get back. Have a great week! Supposed to be cooler temps coming to most of the midwest soon.

FrouFrou - i remember when the walk slim came out. it was one of the few things i did not get from leslie, mainly bec i didn't want even a little piece of equipment to deal with - but that's just me. it looks like a good workout. I have the 1 mile workouts dvd. it's a good one. i need to dig it out :)

Cathy...yeah, that does take up space, a little bit. I keep it next to the tv stand which is basically a coffee table so it's out of the way. I think this is one of my favorite workouts to do. WTG on the 4 miles...forgot about the new dvd, going to have to go get it!

Yesterday, did the 2 mile shape and firm, and 1 mile walk with booster...had company so was cooking part of the day and gone the first part of the day.

Today...3 mile walk away the waist, 1 mile jog and the 1 mile walk with booster.

Happy day!

Thanks, girls! Having a blast so far and it's just our first day! We are staying in am amazing quirky little place for 2 nights in Eureka Springs, AR then moving up to Branson until Saturday.

Cathy, how long does the new 4 mile run? I love the 4 milers!

Annie - I'll check the time on the 4 miles. i think 2 of the miles were 15 minutes each, and the other 2 miles were like 13.5 each and then there was a cool down, but i'll double check and let you know.

I did 2 miles this morning. I used The Big Burn dvd with intervals.

Have fun Annie! I love Eureka Springs, so pretty up there. And Branson too!It's been afew years since I have been to Branson but have been several times. From AR and was just there week before the 4th to visit family.

Hi everyone! Got back from our trip on Sat. We had an wonderful time. Got back to walking this morning. Really wanted to do at least 3 miles, but I tossed and turned all night last night. Rolled out of bed with just enough time to do one mile. Used the 5 Day Fit Walk and did the Get Started 18 min. mile w/ 2# weights. My legs felt SO heavy after no formal exercise for over a week.

Okay, it's time to get back to work. With the wedding, honeymoon and vacation all within the last 2 months, I have slowly crept up to about 158 pounds. 160 is my panic number. I am not happy about that, but honestly expected to be up some. I just need to get back into my good habits and get it back off. Then I can concentrate on working on my original goal.

So many times this summer I have found myself staying up too late on work nights and either getting in just a short workout or none at all. That's what I did this morning. No exercise.

So starting today (one day at a time and all that), I will get in all of my water, eat wisely during the day. We are going out to eat at Red Lobster for my son's b-day tonight, so I am going to do my best to order something halfway healthy there. I also made him a choc. b-day cake and will have a piece of that. I will get in bed by 10 p.m. and get up in the morning and do a minimum 3 mile walk.

I know this part of the forum is really just for posting exercise, but there really isn't an area where I feel I fit in right now, so thanks for listening!!

How is everyone else doing?:)

Sounds like me too Annie, except for the wedding and honeymoon. Was doing well until I went to AR for 4 days and haven't gotten back on track since. It's been so hot as well and just not feeling the exercise thing, that and I have been lazy!

Today is a new day though and back on track after getting up a few pounds...enough is enough!

Today...1 mile WATP with Booster and 3 mile walk away the waist.

PS...changing the ticker to reflect the weight gain, ugh!

I really don't walk for weight loss. So I keep at it.....2 mi every day in the summer with 5lb weights. Lots of gardening and it is hot!!! Also 4 days of babysitting. I am a little tired. I hope to get more time in in the fall and winter.

Yesterday I did the 2 Mile w/ 2# weights from the 5 Day Fit Walk.

Today I did the 2 Mile Fast Walk w/ belt from Walk Off Even More Weight.

Hope to see at least a pound gone by the end of the week. Hoping my younger son and I don't get sick. Older son has had bronchitis and has felt terrible. Fingers crossed!!

Carol...I like being outdoors also but lately it has been way too hot! Yesterday evening I tried to get a walk in and it was shortened by the heat...only got in a 15 mn walk. Can't wait for fall and I promise not to complain when it gets cold! :)

Annie...hoping your younger son doesn't get sick, and hoping your older son feels better soon! My youngest is sick with strep throat and don't know how he got it, hoping no one else gets it!

Today I did the biggest Loser 1 mile power walk, 2 mile scultp & burn and the 2 mile slim and thin. It may seem like I do a lot sometimes, especially to me, lol but I break it up and try to do 3 dvd's a day. One before breakfast, one after lunch and one before or while I am cooking dinner. Doesn't always happen but I am for three. The 1 mile ones are just 16 mns so...

ALMOST talked myself out of a workout this morning. But got up and did Get Up and Get Started 1 Mile w/ weights off of the 5 Day Fit Walk.

Going to have to start getting to bed earlier and getting up earlier as school and marching band will be starting up for my younger son. That should be a motivator!
