Maybe try it at home first?
I don't know why you couldn't. I cook eggs in the microwave all the time, and I've cooked IP soup in the microwave, too.

I'm trying to remember if they have whey protein in them.
Be sure to cook it in a larger bowl than you might think. I suspect it will expand and deflate.

I would go for one minute, then keep going in 10 second increments until it seems/feels cooked. (I base the time on the instructions for cooking the soups. The eggs were not my favorite and it has been a very long time since I had them.)

I am concerned about what your coach said.

You should ALWAYS have your first meal 30-45 minutes after waking. It gets your metabolism going.

If you're up for longer, just add another packet. You should be eating every 4-5 hours.

I wake up about 9:30 and get to work at 11 and work til 8 and get home about 9ish. Here's my schedule. Breakfast (11) lunch (3) dinner (7) snack (9:15) bet at 10. Downside of being in the auto industry :-P
