Hi Belle...it's my busy work day, so I haven't had time to post. Glad to hear you got rid of the snake and spider...I wouldn't be able to sleep!!! I need to get Aaron's toys squared away since my Mom and Dad are coming for a short visit, and I would feel like such a crummy daughter if they saw my house the way it truly is most days when Aaron gets through with it!!!

I haven't been working out at all lately. I've had a virus lately that's leaving exhausted and sleeping 10 hours a night, with a nap during the day as well. I'm not feeling great either, not at all myself, so I'm taking a break. The bad news is that I'm really not counting points right now either, so it's going to be a big step back. I am kind of on survival mode, though, so right now I just have to do whatever I can just to make it through. I am really looking forward to the weekend and about 15 hours or so of uninterrupted sleep...sounds wacko, but I'm quite serious on this. When I'm sleeping, I'm not feeling so crummy either, so that's a big plus. :)
Ok, so I did my posting duty -- where are all of the rest of our friends, Miss Belle??? We'll get them out and posting yet!!!

I'm here!!! Hi jayne and Belle!!! We are having fun with our new puppy...sometime soon i'll post the link to the pictures...
Tomorrow i am going to NY to visit my family and then to NJ for a wedding-an old friend from high school. Then next Monday i am coming back home, and leaving for Florida on Tuesday...I am going there for a conference on Women's helath-should be interesting.

As we speak i am waiting for a shipment-a bathing suit that I ordered. you think bathing suit shopping and facing the three way mirror is bad normally, try it being pregnant! OMG-talk about killing one's self esteem!!!

Anyhow-where is everyone else??? Come out and play!

Don't you hate it when you write a big long post and <poof> it's gone??

Anyway, I'm not doing too well food-wise today....I managed not to binge out last night, but today at work I'm non-stop eating. I ate my lunch at 10:30 :o AND I have eaten almost an entire box of thin mints - prob. a box and a half. Mind you I would never buy them beause obviously I can't control myself with any sweets, but one of our clients gave me a box today at work. I'm going out drinking tonight too, so there's really no chance of making this anything close to a decent eating day. Oh well, I do it to myself.

Lori, you are just traveling all over the place! That sounds fun though, I could use a little vacation, even if part of it is for work! You know, my doctor didn't even discuss the possibility that the patch was too low-dosage for me. I have a feeling it is - not to be TMI - but I don't think there's any way I could make myself go off it, it's just too easy! Plus I hate messing with my body by changing hormone levels and pills all the time. You know what I read also though, that certain dosages aren't good for people voer a certain weight. I may have even read that in my patch insert that it may not be enough hormones for people over 155lbs - which I am! Of course I wasn't when I first started taking it, but that's another story....

Hey Dr. Lori, while you are around - what could be causing my sore boobs if not pregnancy? My period is due in a couple days so I have made a doc appt for next friday - I figure that if I dont' get it I"ll have a test, if I do, I'll have my boobs looked into - maybe switch a pill?? Do you think its anything to worry about??

What's your dog's name? My old guy, Barney - he is so sick, poor guy. He is on prednizone and losing his hair from it. I finally told the vet - enough is enough - it isn't helping. So we are going for a consultation on Satruday to have him looked at and discuss how we can get him on track. He has chronic ear infections (floppy ears) and he licks himself rawa bout 2 weeks after each bath - he wears a cone most of the time....plus he is super fat - esp after the prednizone!!

Jayne - maybe I have your virus too -I have been SUPER tired. I do go to the gym but I tire easily - my muscles feel weak. Sometimes I wonder if its better to just wait til I am better to workout...the toys issue is tough - my sister is challenged that way. I think all parents struggle with it. good luck with that - where do your parents live? Far away?

Lori BTW - PG women are beautiful! My b/f finds them sexy even! I am sure you look great - and its a means to an end, not like the rest of us ;)

Well, back to work and then the gym. I figure I'll run for 25 min and see how that feels...if I do OK I'll go another 10 min....

Have a good OP day girls!!!

Hey Lexxy! So did you get a rash from the patch? I am looking forward to its arrival in Canada!!

Hey Belle,

I didn't ever get a rash, but you do have to be kind of careful where you put it so that it doesn't fold, etc. - which can be hard for me since i don't have too many flat surfaces! I mainly wear mine on my hip. I tried it on my upper back once, but I think it got kinda icky from shampoo and conditioner. It's pretty much like wearing a bandaid for a week :dizzy:

Hey all... Not much new with me. Had another doc appointment and am realizing I am getting so close. Lori has issues with feeling blah now, trying being 34+ weeks PG. I actually felt much better when I was smaller. Now I am big and my clothes are all tight, I can't sleep, my bladder is super squished. I am just plain uncomfortable. I think since this is your first, you are having more emotional feelings about the weight gain and bulging tummy. Don't fret so much about it and think of it as a miracle that not everyone can enjoy. This is from one experienced PG woman to another.

Belle, my puppy (3 year old golden) has allergies. She was diagnosed last year. She chews her legs and has ear infections when it gets bad. Right now with the spring thaw it is getting bad. We were told to give her Benedryl and she also has an ear cleaner. It does work. I mean she still itches and chews a little, but nothing like she was, she had bloody nobby legs. There was also another over the counter we could have tried if the benedryl didn't work. Maybe this is the problem your dog is having. Or maybe your dog is allergic to the shampoo you are using. We were told to use a therapudic oatmeal shampoo. Last year her skin was so flakey it was disgusting. We also got a Cortisone shot at that time to get things going, then the benedryl helped maintain it. Wow that was lenghty!

Also, my hubby thinks PG women are sexxy too. I think that we need to see ourselves through the eyes of men to appreciate the extra baggage!

And as for the patch. I don't know about you, but I can't stand wearing a bandaid for more than a day. Especially when you shower. I don't know if I could handle the patch. Tho I am pretty good at not forgetting the pill.

It was snowing today and now raining. I have a meeting tonight that I absolutely do not want to go to. And not in the mood for work either... BLAHHHH

Jen - thanks for the info - I wonder why my doc would choose a steroid over an antihistamine?? I will tell her of your case on Saturday - I hope something helps him - he is sick of the cone!! I cna't believe you are so close either - post some new pics of Emma when you can!

Yeah, I don't know about wearing a bandaid for a week either - I have issues with showering wtih bandaids too! But I am sometimes forgetful with the pill....I wonder if antibiotics still react with the patch??

Well, must run get a snack - hunger has struck!

BBL!!

Just saying a quick hello. I don't have the privacy at my new job that I had at the last. Gotta be careful about Internet time.

Lexy-yeah, there is a weight limit on the patch, actually, but i am not sure what it is, I think it is more than 155 though...

Belle and Jen-Thanks! youa re both right-I should stop obsessing over the mirror and the scale and be happy with what I am doing...some days are harder than others though. especially to someone who has always had to struggle with weight! thank goodness hubby thinks I look 'cute'

jen-i am sure you are much more uncomfortable than I am-one of my workmates is three weeks ahead of you and she is miserable-do you think you will go early? i am not looking forward to that stage! I feel like there is so much to do between now and then !

Hello everyone

Well I actually made it to the gym yesterday -- I can't wait until the time change here so I can walk at night, not in the dark! I'm trying to keep exercising, but I get so lazy sometimes! I know I should just make myself get up early, since I don't work until 9:30, but I can't drag myself out of bed any earlier than I do.... So I go to the gym after work.

Belle -- The idea of having a snake & spider in the house freaks me out! Although my mom is the ultimate snake-eliminator. She chopped one with a hoe one time when it was coming near the house, now that's disgusting!
Jayne -- I hope you feel better soon!
Lori -- Have fun with your new puppy! I wish I could have one, but my apartment doesn't allow them... sigh...
Lexxy -- I hate it when you have those foods that you just can't control. The other night I went through about half a bag of tortilla chips & cheese dip for supper.... I can't even have that stuff in the house, because it will just be gone. Luckily, I gave up chocolate for Lent, so that's one temptation that's just gone.
Jen -- too bad it's snowing in March! I can't wait until this winter is finally over and it's nice out all the time. We haven't gotten snow here today, but it's a possibility for this weekend, which is just depressing....

Well, I should get back to work, we got busy there for a little bit.

PS-Belle-the sore boobs can be from being pre period-it is very common...if you changed pills recently, the different hormones in the pill you are on could be making them sore...
