Default I need to know if this is -totally- stupid before I try it

Ok, so I read in on a body building about people who fast 1 day every week or two weeks while still calorie counting the other days as a way to drop body fat faster.

So the plan is: to fast from 7pm tonight to 7pm tomorrow night and then have a clean meal - something along the lines of what I'd have for supper on a normal cal counting day.

I know some people get very hungry and can't do it, but some can apparently.

Is this just totally ridiculous to try?

Not ridiculous at all. A lot of us use Intermittent fasting as part of our plans.

I have heard of other people doing it too and it working well as long as your staying hydrated there is no reason it shouldnt be ok (unless you have some other medical issue) I was thinking of trying this myself but idk if I can stand being that hungry and watching my family chow down cooking their meals and such. Good luck!

There is also a way to fast where you give your self a 5hr eating window daily. so you fast for 19 hrs eat for five. I have heard this works very well. Just a little confused on how you get all your calories and such.

Not ridiculous. I fast quite often. I try to make non work days fast days or low calorie days. I'm not a great example with my slow losses, but it helps me control my overall calorie intake, and it's even pushed my weight down a time or two.

Please post to update how intermittent fasting works for you.

Try it, but you may need to start slowly.
