I'll be going to a diner tomorrow that offers some different choices and want to make a somewhat healthy choice. I've already eliminated the double cheeseburger, chili cheeseburger and regular hamburger but am left wondering which of the following has the lowest fat and calorie content:

turkey burger
ostrich burger
buffalo burger

They also offer a BBQ chicken sandwich and a lemon pepper chicken sandwich. What would you choose? Any help/insight would be appreciated.

Try the ostrich. I would choose something that I wouldn't make at home.

Thanks.. I ended up going with the ostrich burger. Pretty tasty. If anyone is curious, the diner had a sign posted on the nutrition content of the various burgers. In order of least caloric:

1. ostrich
2. buffalo
3. veggie
4. turkey
5. beef

Who would have guessed? It claimed the ostrich only had 147 calories per 1/3 lb patty!

I know buffalo is very lean. Before I read your response I was going to suggest that.
