Okay... I am going to have to go take a COLD shower before I can post anymore.
The last thread was just more than an old lady can take at one time....
...And I had to take it about 15 times. !!!!

03-23-2003, 09:41 PM
Hi there again....just wanted to post on this thread so I would get my e-mail notifications. Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Baylee.... you put me to shame. :o :(
You are one determined and active woman.
You are my present HERO !!!! :queen:

I am embarrassed to say that I did absolutely NOTHING all day. :o
I did not even get dressed until 1pm. :^:
Went for a Sunday afternoon drive with hubby and out for dinner.
Came home and watched the academy awards.
Like I said... I did absolutely nothing.

Okay... I did do ONE thing. ...... I stayed on my food program. :D
But.... so did Baylee.... so that does not give me any brownie points. :(
BUT I am PROUD just the same. :smug:
Good night all. Sleep tight.
I am looking forward to hearing about Thins mystery dinner weekend and Tina's dream weekend.

If that ad pops up in my face again  .

2cute, we all need a day off sometimes. I love the days where you realize you havn't done a thing all day:) . They sure seem far and few in between.

Michelle, okay talk to yourself!!! Thats what I do. I say "do you really want this? Is it gonna make you feel better?" Most times this works for me and I can talk myself out of eatting. Yesterday my dear son wanted to go to Walmart to spend his bday money. Well he has been asking since his bday (March 8) so finally I said get in the car. Our closest Walmart is 40 minutes away. Well it was 12:30 when we left and I had not had lunch yet and only had toast w/ jam for breakfast. Now I had to pass 1 Burger King, 1 McDonalds, and about 3 chinese places<~my fav. Well I made it by them all to the store and back from the store. I did stop and get gas and picked up some 98%FF beef jerkey to tide me over. The bag had 2 servings and I did eat both for a total of 4 pts, but although this was not the best choice it was better than one of the fast food places.
Anyway, we are here for you, just pop on in an type away.....

My cold dosn't seem to be as bad in the chest but I'm coughing my head off. I was up like 5 times in the night and still this morning it is hack hack hack. I hate colds!!!

Gotta go get my butt in gear for work.

Huggers to all,

03-24-2003, 08:14 AM

Good morning, chickies...

Last night as I was getting into bed for my PRE-WORK nap, I put the TV on...I FORGOT IT WAS OSCAR NIGHT! There went my nap time! i watched right up through the "Best Actress," and decided I'd better get to work, it was already after 11:00! Good thing work place is only about 3 miles away. My daugjter and I watched and had to start a list of all the monies we need to see...the only one of the "Best Picture" nominees that I've seen is The Lord of the Rings...I'd bettter get crackin'!

Michelle: DROP THE FORK AND STEP AWAY FROM THE TABLE! Come on, girlfriend...stop the binge right now, don't wait! We are all here for you! We've all been there. You CAN do this! {{{HUG}}}

Hi to everone else...I have to go roust my son out of bed, so I can get him off to school and swan dive into my bed! I am in dire need of beauty rest!!

I'll be back later.

PS...Sara, where the heck ARE you?

03-24-2003, 09:23 AM
Hey, ladies!

It s beautiful and sunny this am and I have no clue whether dd is coming over to scrapbook. I want to get into the garage and get started and so don't want to shower until I know one way or another.

2cute: I thought you would appreciate our Naval Service! The only guys I ever saw that looked like that were the pilots I used to work with for Cub Scouts! Course, there is nothing like 5000 men coming home from sea standing around the edge of the ship at parade rest in their dress whites either! I got to see that several times!

Man, I am still having some trouble getting over this stuff I had. I am feeling pretty good today, so I hope that is the last of it.

Hope everyone has a good day today, stays OP and gets in their exercise!

03-24-2003, 11:47 AM
\\\\\\\\\\My computer is going CRAZY !!!
I is like it is possessed or something.
I cannot control the cursor at it just takes off on its own all the time.
SOoooo I may be losing my ability to type.

Plus... today I am headed out of town for two days.
I will check back with all of you when I get home... if I can.

03-24-2003, 03:48 PM
Honeys, I'm home! And wow what a wonderful time we had. As a matter of fact, we can't remember having so much fun! :D It was just soooo cool. I'll try to explain some of it. And I'll try to be short and sweet. It took us two hours to fill the boys in on our weekend when we got home yesterday.

This resort is in the middle of nowhere in the upper part of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. (are you guys good on geography? You know we have two parts to Michigan, right?) The resort is not very big, just 3 buildings that kind of look like apartments that held all of the guests' rooms.

The event started on Friday night with a dessert reception in the "Loft". The theme for the weekend was American Idol and we were all invited to the Loft on the premise that it was the American Idol auditions and that we were all 'discovered' along the way and at random would be able to audition. (don't worry girls, the characters were already set and THEY were the ones that were picked at random to do the auditioning. I didn't really have to sing! ) Anyway, we went through the initial "setting of the stage" if you will and as it turned out, one of the judges had been found dead in her room before the auditions.

Our goal for the weekend was to find the murderer(s) for each killing, the accomplice(s), and then list all of the relevant clues that you found to support each of your suspicions. Everything you listed was worth points toward the prize, but if you got the murderer(s) wrong, you didn't get any points for that particular victim.

Once the 'stage was set' we were all set loose on searching the suspects' (read all the contestants and one other judge) rooms. The suspects each had rooms in the resort and they were available in their rooms for each of the teams of sleuths to visit, question, and search their rooms.

So off we went with the team we had been hooked up with and started searching the rooms. (well, we had no clue as to what exactly to do at this point so we searched very superficiously (peaking gingerly behind stuff, lifting a piece of paper here and there). This continued until 11:00 at night. Then our team went back to our room to try and make some sense out of what we had seen and try to be more organized for the next morning.

Saturday morning breakfast was from 7:30 - 8:30 in the morning. Then up to the Loft to for the story to continue. Once we left there, it was time to search rooms for clues again and when we reached one girl's room, we found that she was now murdered too.

We continued to search rooms until 11:30 when a time out was called so that everyone could get some lunch and regroup. (during this search, we weren't so dainty. We tore sofa cushions off, went in the refrigerator, dug through coolers) We were told that every time there was a new 'searching session' that new clues could appear and that something else might happen. From 3:30-4:15 we had another session before jumping on horse drawn wagons for a wagon ride through an Elk ranch to see the Elk and to arrive at a remote cabin for our gourmet dinner.

The ride was very nice, although very cold. We saw lots of Elk and they stopped the wagons so we could get off and take pictures. We were told alot of great information about Elk and the way the ranch is run, how their antlers grow new every year and fall off every year. It was very educational.

When we got to the cabin, a couple of the staff brought an Elk antler around to each table and let us hold it up. It's amazing. They weigh like 20-30 pounds and you figure an Elk has two of them that he's holding up all the time. I would definately has a constant stiff neck. :o

We had time outs and time ins for the game throughout dinner. We got to hear a history of how the resort and Elk ranch were started. The whole place is run by a man and his wife, her daughter and the daughter's husband. They are all wonderful people, genuinely interested in their guests having a great time, and educating them besides. It was just GREAT!~

Anyway, back to the game. During dinner there was another murder. We hopped back on the wagons and went back to the resort to search rooms once again. When we got to one of the girl's rooms, she had been murdered at the cabin, last minute before the wagons had left. So now we had 4 murders to solve. The room searches went on until 10:30. (this time there were no holds barred. We tore stoves apart, turned mattresses over, searched in murphy beds. You name it, we tore it apart.)

All night Friday and all day and night Saturday we were taking notes, searching rooms again and again and meeting to compile and compare notes with the team. Then at 10:30 Saturday night the game was over and we had one hour to turn in our sheets with the answers. So we went back to our room with the team and compiled everything we knew (and surmised). Then ran to the Loft to turn the sheet in by 11:30 PM.

Sunday morning, breakfast was between 7:30-8:30 again with the wrap up in the Loft at 9:00.

We really did not think we did all that well. We thought we had 3 murderers correct. We only found 2 of the murder weapons. We weren't sure about accomplices, and we wrote down as many clues as we could think of that we found to support each of our theories.

The wrap up included the introduction of all the characters. And as it turns out, the majority of the characters had all been on the sleuth side of things a couple of times and then volunteered to be characters, and the others were staff and friends.

The wrap up also included the whole story being told. The daughter writes all of the murder mysteries that are done at the resort, so she told the story and made all of the pieces fit together, showing all of the relevant clues and telling where they were all hidden.

Anyway, long story short (I know, too late!); we won 3rd place out of nine teams! WooHoo! We were just thrilled!

The weekend was not what we expected. Although we're not sure what we expected, just that this wasn't it. But we had the grandest time. It was not romantic, there was no quiet time. By the time we finished searching rooms each night it was so late, and we were so blasted tired that we crashed because we had to get up at the crack of dawn to start all over again the next day. But we still had a GREAT time!

Ok, now that I've written a whole page, let's see if I lose it when I hit post. If so, I won't be back, it took too long to write.

I have not had a chance to read what I missed so I hope you will forgive me for not replying to anyone. I will have to catch that up later.

Love  to all.

03-24-2003, 04:39 PM
OOOOhhhh Thin, I wish we had gone. We have always wanted to go on a Mystery Weekend. My husband is a nut and wants to dress up like you know who (SH) but I refuse to be his fat dr friend Watson!  Thanks for sharing. As I know a lot about Mich, just where was it close to? We might have to check it out. South Bend has them sometimes too. The last one was at one of the old mansions there.

Well, got the garage in tip top shape. Now all there is to do is drag all the stuff to the trash Thurs night and then move the clunker into its slot so we can park the good car in the garage now. It was a pretty dirty job, but I feel great now that it is done. I also got my bills paid this pm and my house is cleaned so I am done for today except my mall walk and folding my load of clothes for today.

I need to get downstairs and do that so I had better skedaddle.

03-24-2003, 05:30 PM
Well hello everyone!:)
I just spent half and hour reading all the other posts, I was still back on 302. Now I have to play catch up. So here goes.

First of all I had a great weekend, stayed OP and even got a walk in. :D I didn't however go to our festival, turns out the kids didn't even have any art in it, they have every other year, guess they can have this year off. But I did end up doing some major spring cleaning. I cleaned the motor home to prepare for first camping weekend of the season. I can't wait. During the winter and on off throughout the year we let company or the kids sleep in the motor home so it has a tendency to get trashed. But I cleaned it and am ready to stock it. And then we did some outside pruning and backyard burning. Just got a lot of home stuff taken care of and it felt great. Also got the hubby time in. Am very happy bout that. :D

2cute: That story was very inspiring, if she can do it, so can I.

Donna: Cute grandson. I'll bet he keeps you busy and happy.

Mary: I am very pleased to hear your brother is doing fine. I have brother who has threatened his life many times, thank goodness he has never followed through. I hate depression.

I walked yesterday and am going to go for a bike ride today. As soon as I get off here. It is such a gorgeoous day outside. And kids are home for spring break so they will nag me to get out and do something, darn kids anyway.

Lets bring our troops home with a warm welcome and let them know we support them even if we don't agree with war. The troops are just doing their jobs and so is Bush. Ya War sucks but sometimes you do what ya gotta do. There is so much protest right now, our guys need to know that they are doing the right thing. Did anyone see the awards last night, when the one guy, who got the award for documentary about colombine, went up there and bashed Bush and put down the war and was so unsupportive? That was not cool. OK I am done now.

Hope everyones week is a good one! I plan on having a great week. :D I am going to suck in some sunshine.

03-24-2003, 05:34 PM
I am so glad you had such a nice time!!! Sounds like fun. I bet my hubby would like to do something like that, but can guarantee he would want a big N tasty is he was paying for a weekend away, wouldnt even have to be romantic, just a quick one he would say. Something about a man paying to sleep somewhere other than his own bed? OH men, can't live with em or without em.

Donna, glad you got your garage done and in order. Bet hubby is taking half the credit???

Now we need an update from Tina.

03-24-2003, 11:57 PM
Boy you gals get talkative over the weekend. I just finished reading all the posts. I had to read 302, 303, and the posts in 304. My weekends are so busy I don't get a chance to get on the computer. And today was such a nice day, I was outside. I walked to pick my son up from school and even left a 1/2 hour earlier so I could get a longer walk in. Then we had lunch and went outside and played hockey, and baseball. We were outside for 4 hours straight. Probably would've been out longer, but I had to get ready for work. So, I am worn out now. Off to bed, check back tomorrow.

03-25-2003, 05:27 AM
Do I have the plague or what? I don't post and every one else does like crazy, I post and its dead silence. Hear the crickets?! Just kidding. I was just looking forward to finally sitting down here and being able to respond to a bunch of post and then there are none.Oh well maybe next time.

I am sooo happy!:cb: See me, that's me all happy! I went for a 20 minute bike ride today. I was so excited. And I will do it again tomorrow, weather pending. My legs are sore tonight too. But it feels great, and I even had 6 points leftover at the end of the day. I love it.

Well I must go now. Good day to all!!

03-25-2003, 08:27 AM
Good morning! I guess it's morning the sun is up. All I know is Jack left the cat out when he left and he and the dog started attacking me! The cat is a male and is almost old enough to be neutered and boy oh boy will I be glad when that happens. He acts nuts!

Deon and Steph: Yeah for you and getting in that exercise. I got a really good walk in yesterday. In fact, when I left the mall, dh who has really long legs said, "Hey, are you not going to wait for me?" It is nice to have stamina to do this stuff now!

Sandy: Actually, I showed garage to dh last night and he says it looks fine. You cannot believe the junk people hold on to. SIL and his family must be real pack rats as there was some really old stuff in the garage. There is still stuff up above on the beams, but that will have to come down later and dh will have to get that stuff. I avoid ladders like the plague after dislocating my knee falling off one.

Jack and I have planned a mini holiday over Memorial Day down at the casinos so I am looking forward to that. We got a suite for only $69 a night and being as close as it is, we can leave the animals in the house and run back home to check on them.

Well, I am going to go.

03-25-2003, 09:01 AM
Good Morning all
Sandy (Peekaboo) DH is like an animal when we are in hotels. I don't know what the deal is about being away from home.:D

On another note My brother just called and wants me to have lunch with him today. I don't have to go to work till 2:30. At least he is getting out of the house. He wants me to call his girlfriend and pretend to be the DHS.

I'd love to go away for a nice relaxing weekend but the next few weeks are going to be real busy at work.
I better run grab a shower Son will be in from work soon.

03-25-2003, 09:04 AM
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I haven't been able to tear myself away from the TV. The day is rapidly approaching for my DH to deploy into the middle of that living **** I'm watching on TV. My eating has been awful. Almost nothing one day, then the next day i eat everything.
I'm also at an impass as to what to do about my hang up with the insurance company. They say I am 18 pounds underweight for the surgery. UNDERWEIGHT!! THERE's a first! I never heard that word used in context with me. Although, I'm almost certain to gain that weight in the long run, I can't imagine gaining it on purpose. I've spent my whole life trying to lose. But boy wouldn't it be fun for a while.
Anyhoo, I'm working on getting plane tickets back home. I don't want to be here after DH leaves. I may be 30 years old, but I still want my Mommy!!! :stress:
I'll pop in again when I get away from the TV.

03-25-2003, 09:19 AM
Jen: Oooh sweety, we are with you here! I know what it is like for them to ship out and leave you alone in a place far away from family. I didn't have family to go home to, so I had to always stick it out, but boy I can remember boo hooing at night when the kids were in bed. Please let me help you through this in any way I can. I am here night or day for you! dwilkin3@midsouth.rr.com As for the surgery, you can appeal, but I wouldn't hold out much hope in that realm. They have pretty strict guidelines weight wise. It is for the health of those having the surgery. Maybe right now is not the best time to worry about your weight program so much if it is troubling you a lot. Some people it takes their mind off other things, but it seems to just add to your overall distress so I would kind of let it go until things settle down. You, your dh and your children are in our prayers! Thank you for being willing to serve!

03-25-2003, 09:51 AM
Jen, I hope you get tickets home and I don't blame you, just like when your in the hospital having your own kids I was like "I WANT MY MOMMY!!!" Mommys seem to make it all better somehow or atleast not hurt so bad. I thought of you this morning when I was watching the TODAY show and they were talking about one of the medical unit stations in Germany. Maybe you need a day that you shut the t.v. off and tune the whole world out and just you hubby and kid(s) have a fun family day. Play games, talk, movie?~(NO NEWS!!). My hubby was never in the service so I don't really know how you are feeling but can only imagine. {{{HUGS}}} As for the surgery? I just don't know what to tell you? Insurance companys are sticklers for the rules.

Donna, were you trying to put your e-mail address up there? You put it up as a web site....:dizzy: , I even clicked it thinking wow she got a website made, but got that good ole screen that says it does not exsist? Am I acting blonde? Or are you???

Grannie (Mary), good luck with lunch with the bro today, but I would be careful about being drug in the middle of that situation. Pretending to be DHS could get you into trouble? I don't know the laws, but something about impersonating a public official? Just be careful....{{{HUGS to you}}}}

TINA, TINA, TINA, RING, RING, RING??????Where are you???Did you make it back from Bristol?:?: :?: I misses you!!!!

Well chicklets, I will be back later on to check in....

Oh my goodness I forgot to speak to kid!!! I don't think you have the plague? Do you???? :o Good job with the exercise, you are on your way, now I need someone to kick me in the butt to get back on track with the exercise thing, this cold has like taken all my energy and I don't want to do a thing!!!

03-25-2003, 11:19 AM
My dad just sent me something that gave me the biggest laugh when i needed it most. This is SO FUNNY that I tears streaming down my cheeks and my belly hurts. Just follow the link.
Hope you enjoy it!!

03-25-2003, 12:43 PM
Well guys...I will spare you all the small details, because you know....we were there 3 days and I just don't think my fingers will hold out to tell you everything that happened, so here are some of the highlights.....

First of all, I met a couple of terrific ladies from my Tony website. They were truly awesome. One of them, (Aaron) was deaf and I have never actually known a deaf person and she was so special. I miss her already. :( It was so strange, how in just three days....you feel like family. Anyways, I took four rolls of film and I'm showing you a few of the pics from the two middle rolls. Something crazy is going on with my computer and it takes me forever to save pictures, so I'm not scanning them all, but I'm showing you some of the better ones. It took me almost two hours to scan, save and get these into my picturetrail acct so you guys could view them.

The pictures of Tony are blurry, but that's because I don't have a zoom lense and Tony looks like a little ant in the pictures I actually took, but I was able to crop and zoom in with the scanner so you can see him a little better. Hey, a blurry Tony is better than no Tony at all, right? :s:

Of course if you watched the race, you know how it went, so no need to tell you I was NOT very happy. I would like to say I got a little chuckle when Tony decided to help Ricky Rudd around pit row. Of course I didn't laugh too loudly as I was sitting right next to the only Ricky Rudd fan at Bristol. She, was VERY vocal however.

Depending on what side you approach Bristol, it is either up a hill or down in a valley, so either way, you are climbing..climbing..climbing. Not to mention we parked about 2 miles from the track to try to get out of traffic. I spent way to much money, froze to death, walked my legs off and Tony wrecked. But, would I do it again? Heck yeah! Bristol is the BEST track on the circuit!

Here's some of the pics and I'll add some more when we get them developed. Some of them may be a little big and might throw off the board a little. Hope you don't mind. :crossed:

This is me, Kelly and Aaron the first day we met.

This is Tony walking through getting ready to qualify. (Dale Jarrett and Michael Waltrip are to his right)

Here is the man walking through the pit area.

This is me on our first day there....dh wanted to take the picture because he thought I looked pretty with the wind blowing through my hair. :o

Ron, me, Kelly and Aaron before the Busch race on Saturday.

Look at us! We all bought the same shirt at different times and didn't even know it! We are the Tony chicks!

I LOVE this picture of us!

I cannot even tell you how much fun we had. It was the trip of a lifetime....at least for me anyways. I haven't caught completely up with you guys yet though. I read the whole last thread and I'll be working on this one as soon as I'm finished with my post. I would like to let you know however, (and I'm sure this is too much information) but my TOM even decided to work with me on my trip.

Believe it or not, even in the midst of all my fun...I thought about you guys. I wondered what you were doing and how you were and wished I had a laptop so I could let you know how things were going. I did very well foodwise on my trip. I allowed myself one meal a day that I didn't count points. We took a cooler with us full of food, so we took our own into the track. It is very
expensive there and I didn't want to spend 3.00 for a drink and 5.00 for a sandwich. I used my own lite bread, ham, mayo and fat free cheese on my sandwiches. I brought FF pringles, rice crispy treats, apples, granola bars and other low fat snacks. The meals that I did treat myself to were very reasonable as well and with all the walking we did, I'm sure it all evened out at the end of the day.

I'm glad to be home, but I have to tell you. At one point, we were sitting in our seats, the sun was on our backs, dh had his arm around me, cars were humming around the track and I just thought, "Can life can any better than this?" I know that may sound silly to someone else, but to me, there's nothing better. This trip will have to do me for awhile and I'm sure it will.

I'll be catching up soon and will make time for individual replies.

I love and missed you all! :grouphug:

03-25-2003, 01:38 PM
Tina: It sounds like you had such a wonderful time. That is so great! I used to belong to a church with a deaf ministry so I know quite a few sign language words. Hope you and your friends can keep in touch and even get together at another race! Tonester looks adorable as always, even blurry! As for food, yeah for you!

Sandy: Lord, I didn't even know I had done that! Thanks for calling attention to it!

Jen: Thanks for sharing that. It was indeed pretty funny! As usual those "non-verbal" instructions are clear as mud! Whomever put it together did a great job.

Well, we had another fire at the complex this am and it has shaken me up pretty good. I told DH we need to think about upping personal property insurance. This one took 4 fire engines to put out and we have a lot of elderly here (OLDER THAN ME ELDERLY! ) and one of them lived next door. Poor thing was sitting out on a lawn chair in her robe. That is the bad thing about living where others live beside you.

I can hear the national guard choppers flying today (we are not very far from the airport and national guard) Wonder what their plans are?

Well, ladies, got to go. I need to get the clothes in the dryer. Oh, Tina, thanks for sharing pics. They wer great!

03-25-2003, 01:51 PM
Tina, look at you girl.....you are looking good!!! And what a funny thing you all bought the same shirts....that was cute. Glad you had a great/grand time. And your question about can life get any better than this? NOPE!!! I would lock that memory away and cherrish it forever. What a memeory to have. Talk to you soon.

03-25-2003, 02:51 PM
I am so mad right now I could just spit! If you see a flying scales you know where it came from. Although I do think the scales I bought just doesnt work right. It said I was up 3 lbs this morning and I was even under points and exercised. I am staying off that thing. I thought it was TOM last week but its a no show this week, so maybe I am getting ready for that, who knows, I am eating right and exercising so I can't get discouraged. I won't!:(

Tina: Sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful time. I'm jealous.:p Green with envy. When I was a kid my dad was always doing some kind of racing, truck pulls, stock car, funny car. And I know that feeling. There's just something about the noise, excitement, smell of the food, the dust, the sun. I love it and miss it.

To everyone else, I hope I didn't miss ya. Have a great day, I am going to go for that bike ride again today. :)

03-25-2003, 03:56 PM
I told my brother that she would recognize my voice I don't intend to get in trouble

03-25-2003, 04:26 PM
I think that was your best bet!!!!

03-25-2003, 10:08 PM
a while back when I needed your prayers for a job I applied for. I had an interview today. I REALLY like the place and the guy who would be my boss. SO - - - - one more time - please????

Good morning my chick-ee-dees,

BAYLEE:cp: Yahoo for you!!!! Good job and keep up the good work.

LUCKY:goodvibes sending good vibes your way for the job. I've got everything crossed that can possibly be crossed.

KID:grouphug: huggers to you, for I do know what it's like with the scales....You ask any of the girls here I am the scale :queen: . I am on them at least 5x's a day, but lately I stopped telling everyone because they all say it's not good, but I just can't help myself. Thursdays is my regular weigh in day and sometimes the scale will not budge until that day. The scale fairy can be a witch sometimes. But slowly we will make it.

DONNA:crossed: My fingers are crossed that there are no fires today in your complex so you won't be outside running around in the jammies...lol....I have often run to the mailbox in my jammies with my fingers crossed that no one is driving down the road at that particular moment:o

Huggers to all,

Lucky: I prayed right away and will continue to do so. Good luck!

Sandy: :o I am not a jammy wearing girl, so though dh would probably love it, I DO NOT GO OUT IN THE BUFF FOR THE MAIL! I just felt so sorry for that little old lady. Bless her heart, the fire looks like it got at her roof too so I don't know if she had to move out or what.

Deon: Hang in there honey! Ask Sandy! I hate scales. I think they are awful disappointers! You will lose, just continue what you are doing!

Baylee: Yeah for you! Keep it up!

I am finding that I am becoming bored and I am going to have to find things to keep me busy so I don't eat. I am still considering going back to work, but I don't know. There are a couple issues standing in the way right now.

We got a heck of a thunderstorm last night. I was watching "From ****" that movie with Johnny Depp about Jack the Ripper and kept jumping everytime the lightning cracked. I fell asleep in the middle of it though, darn it!

Well, I need to get my housework done this morning. It is clean the downstairs day.

I just received this by e-mail from a mom who's son is in Kuwait and wrote it. It touched me so much, I had to share.

Wish you were here

For all the free people that still protest

your welcome, we protect you,

and your protected by the best.

Your voice is strong and loud

but who will fight for you

no one standing in your crowd.

We are fathers, brothers and sons,

wearing the boots and carrying the guns.

We are the ones that leave all we own,

to make sure future is carved in stone.

We are the ones who fight and die,

we might not be able to save the world,

well, at least we try.

We walked the paths to where we are at,

and we want no choice other than that.

so when you rally you'r group to complain,

take a good look in the back of you'r brain.

In order for that flag you love to fly,

wars must be fought and young men must die.

We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear,

if thats not respected, we would rather stay here.

So please stop yelling and put down your signs,

and pray for those behind enemy lines.

When the conflict is over and all is well,

be thankful that we chose to go through ****.

Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from

3rd. Battalion, 2nd Marines, Kuwait.
