Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg.
New book, good, goes into not just individual habits and attendant neurological research, but corporations and communities, too. (What Target knows about you is a REAL eye opener!)
The author writes less about eating than about exercise, smoking, drinking, gambling, etc., but the book is motivating just the same. It touches on some stuff I’d learned from WW but boils it down in more helpful ways I find useful, ie, cravings, cues, routines, rewards. The prose is a bit simple and it contains silly sketches, but worth a read, especially if you’re in the mood for something light AND useful. Or something to help keep you plugging along!
Got it from my local library - six people were ahead of me on the hold list, gee, I wonder why.
