the end of another month reminds me just how fast time is marching by....

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the 11/9 Live Walk Cast 5K video that is streaming on Leslie's website.

Thanks, Cathy! I am getting excited.:) Of course I'll post pics! I have a photog lined up to get some casual shots of us on our honeymoon in Eureka Springs, AR. Can't wait for that.

I want to try that free walk at Walk Social. I just don't care for watching them on my computer! We'll see...

I did the 4 Fast Miles, Walk Slim this morning....SWEATED up a storm!!:carrot:

I am going to try to start that thread to keep my focused until the wedding. I'll probably put it over in the General Weight Loss Support area. I'll post a link after I get it going.

How much did the belt weigh? Might be easier than hand weights. Just curious.

It is the 2 pound belt that comes with the Walk Off Even More Weight DVD. I don't know how much it really helps, but I throw it on sometimes when I'm not using hand weights. I actually have a weighted vest (not from Leslie, I ordered it off of Amazon...think it may be 8 or 10 pounds). I haven't used it for a while, but might try it again. Something about it I didn't like....maybe the way it sat on my shoulders.

Still doing the 2 mile walk strong with 5 lb weights. Like she says at the end of the video........those weights really make a difference. I just feel stronger.

I didn't walk today, but did do some gardening this evening. Hopefully that burned some calories because I ate off-plan all day today.

Today I did the Fast Start 2 miles DVD and the 500 step walk (from Walk off 10 Pounds) a couple of times!

How many miles a week do you all try to get in?

Carol, yes, I hold them for 5 miles, my arms definitely need the challenge, they are too weak :(
Chemgurl, I try to do as many miles as I can. Sometimes I do 5 miles, sometimes 3, depends on how much time I have left.

CONGRATS ANNIE!!! you are doing great!

Saturday I cleaned house for over 6 hours - that was my exercise for the dya.

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the 5 Day Ultimate Walk Plan, and did the warmup and cool down with the purple and green miles.

there is a new 3 mile walk on Leslie's facebook page if anyone is looking for something new ;) it's free. you just have to go thru a few steps to get to it. it looks like a real class with most of the walker's backs to us.

here's the steps:
Step 1: Visit the Leslie Sansone Walk at Home Facebook Page.

Step 2: Click on the Walk Social icon:

Step 3: Click the ‘like’ button to unlock the Walk Social App. If you have already done this, you can skip to Step 4.

Step 4: The Recent Activities page will show up. Select the Track Your Walk button indicated below:

Step 5: The Walk Social App will request you to login with either your Facebook account or your email. Choose whatever is most convenient for you!

Welcome, Chemgirl! I try to workout M-F and prefer to average 3 miles daily. I love when I can squeeze in a 5 miler, but that isn't often enough. Just do what is comfortable to you, then up it when you are ready!

I did miles 1, 2 & 3 of the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk this morning.

My son and I worked in the yard yesterday. I did the weedeating. That, combined with the gardening SAt. evening left me with some sore muscles....but it's a good sore, if you know what I mean. I need to weedeat more and keep that upper body workout in my week.

I did 2 miles this morning. I used the "Live at the Walk Studio 3 miles" that is playing on her facebook page. I did the 1st and 3rd miles and boy does that 3rd mile get you sweating. :cp:

I was looking at the Facebook WATP page and notice they have a forum. They were all talking about doing it barefoot!!!! When I did that ten years ago I got plantar fasciitis and it took me a year to get over it.

hi everybody. 5 miles with weights here. Carol I do it barefoot (I have carpet), it's ok so far... the only thing is that my feet are black after it! (and we don't wear shoes at home and vacuum on a regular basis...)

Yep, walking barefoot would not work for me at all. I'm starting to have issues with me feet as I get older.

Hi guys -- I have one of Leslie's 5-mile WATP DVD's and while I absolutely believe in what she says and used it 5-6 times a week for several months, I find myself not wanting to pull it out now and use it because I find the constant chatter really sets my teeth on edge. Can you recommend one of her DVD's where she doesn't talk as much?

I don't mean to be a Negative Nellie here ... I think what Leslie is doing to bring fitness to those of us who are older, out of shape, can't make it to the gym is fantastic. Yesterday when I tried to use the DVD I ended up muting it and just kind of dancing around the room to my iPod. It was fun and I did break a sweat but I know it wasn't as intense a workout as I would have gotten from Leslie.

Years ago I did Walk Away videos faithfully. However, the past few years I've been dealing with spinal issues that make walking difficult/painful. Because of this I gave up on my walking/exercise plan but now that I'm starting to lose weight I want to give it a try again. Today I'm going to try Walk Away for Abs, 2 Miles High Calorie Burn. I plan to take it easy and see how far I can get. :)

Question, do you all Walk Away daily or a certain number of days/week? Do you post mile/week or miles/day? :)

Ladyinred-There are several of Leslie's DVD that have the music only option. I'm sorry I can't give you any titles right now as I am at work. Check out Amazon.com's reviews. Each one of her DVDs they sell there has a ton of reviews and they always mention things like that...being able to do music only, etc. I've gotten used to the chatter and it doesn't bother me. It just gets boring hearing the same thing over and over, but I live with it.

Celery-Be careful and just ease yourself into it. Hoping your doc gave you the green flag for exercise.:) Post whenever works best for you. I like to post daily.

No exercise over the weekend. Did the 3 Mile Bootcamp with resistance bands this morning.

I stopped at a mile and will keep doing that much for a couple of weeks till I get some energy back. I cannot believe how weak I've become. I had to put my little weights down and finish without them!

About the docs advice... one says yoga only and another says try anything. :) So far, so good, so I'm sticking with this as long as I feel I'm doing more good than harm. ;)

Well, I'm off to Amazon to check out some newer Walk Away workouts. :)

PS the scales were nice to me this morning. :D

Had to work hard to squeeze in 3 of the 12 min. miles on the 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. Wore the weighted belt to boost it a bit.

hey gang
i did 2 miles on monday & tuesday morning. today i will go walk for 45 minutes at the mall during lunch.

i couldn't do Leslie's walks barefooted. i have a pair of tennis shoes that i only use inside the house to do dvds with. we all go barefoot in my house too, but not to exercise.

What am I doing wrong? Has any of you lost weight through this program? I need help. If you have any suggestions, I am open to anything. I have tried many things and I don't want to end up quitting again. I need to see improvement or I think I will soon lose hope again.

Not sure, but if the scales aren't moving I'd first try making sure the 1500-1700 calories were from fairly low carb, low fat, healthy foods. If the scales still don't move, I'd try to eat closer to 1500 calories. Age and dieting history mess with weight loss, although I don't know if these are factors for you.

Welcome, Jewlz!! I agree that making sure you are eating the "right" foods and re-evaluating calories may help. You may need to lower your calorie intake. Walking with Leslie did help me to lose 40 pounds, but I ate right and counted calories, too. Keep it up!!

Thanks! I took both your advice and went to SparkPeople to track my food intake. I am trying to stick to the 1500 cal. and good thing is that it also track fat, protein, & so forth. I hope this works. Crossing my fingers. Have a great week-end all.

Tomorrow is the big day! I really want to get up and get a workout done, but that will depend on how much I have left to do tomorrow. If I don't....life goes on! Won't be formally exercising next week, but should get in alot of walking with dogs, sightseeing, etc.

So I thought I would give this another try. I jumped on the thread a couple times before and didn't follow thru...just haven't been on 3fc very often and forget to visit daily to post. I HAVE got to get this weight off though and quit being lazy so...doing it again!

I started today with doing the 1 mile Walk w/Booster two times and then the 1 mile jog. Gotta love the WATP & Leslie Sansone!
