Good Morning everyone.

My eating on the weekend was so chaotic that I'm not getting on the scales for a week! :)

I hope all is well with everyone. I've got early voting, running errands, going to the gym, and to a public health meeting in front of me today. Whew, already!

Back later--have a good day!

Rhonda, thank you for the new pages. My weekend eating was the same as yours. I will wi at WW tomorrow but I'm not looking forward to it.

Went to the dentist this morning. I broke a tooth during my eating hiatus and now need a crown. Life goes on.

Good Morning Chicks!

Geez, Rhonda....you sound as busy as us! I just got back from PT. I don't usually go this early but I had to be home for the plumber who should be here by 11:00. We hope it will be cheap. Famous last words. They aren't cheap even when they are!

Sandra, I was a bad Vickie at the party. I told good Vickie to beat it. Good Vickie is back in charge today.

Good morning, Pam, Mary Ann, Nancy!

Pam.....did your hubby have his test? Hope all went well.

Hi Ladies:)

Went to Corpus Christie Church last night where they had a mass with rosary and than followed by that a visionary spoke to us,about himself and when the apparitions started in this life. He told us so many things, that all of us were amazed. Got home at 9:45 PM and was I tired.Than this morning at 5:05AM the phone rings and it was the sheriff's office telling us that an 84 year old altimeter's woman is wondering through the night somewhere in Falmouth and can't be found, poor soul is still missing. The just found the woman and are treating her in a hospital. So I will be heading to bed early tonight.

RHONDA=Thanks for the new pages,I sure you didn't do too much damage not to get on the scale for a whole week .I went up 2 lbs since Sat W-I . Oh well there's always next month.

SANDRA=Sorry about your tooth, and now have to deal with the dentist. Happy with my new partials, getting used to them day by day.

VICKIE=Hey  I agree with you dentist can be very expensive especially when you don't have dental insurance. I have a bill of $3,000 pending. Still waiting for the bill to come in.

Have to go,have to straighten out my house for my canasta party this Wednesday have a great day

hey chickies.

I'm so tired, I need a nap. DH had colonscopy, removed 3 polyps. He had 3 removed last colonoscpy in 2004. Has to have another one in 3 yrs. I think my sis had polyps removed and I probably shouldn't have cancelled mine, but I was afraid my insurance would reject it. I'll get one when hubby gets his in 3 yrs.

Rhonda, you are too busy.

Sandra, I held my own this week. No loss, no gain. Good luck tomorrow.

Maryann, glad they found the lady. Take a nap with me, lol. Also, congrats on losing 2 lbs.

Vickie, is the PT helping at all? You've been going for a long time. Surprised your insurance is paying for it.

Maryann..so glad the woman was found..Good that it wasn't the dead of winter too.

Sandra..Hope your mouth isn't too sore..I need a veneer replaced. My Ex offered to do it but ugg, I just don't think I can do that..Up in my personal space & all :p

Bath is almost done, carpets get cleaned tomorrow,,I am stuck on finding a mirror over the vanity because it needs to be very narrow to fit between the existing electrical hookups for the sconces..Oval would be too low to fit right either..I may just hang a larger mirror I have over all of it until I find exactly what I want..

Decided wheat may be affecting my joints because this new diet this week had lots of wheat and I was more achey & stiff..Trying a wheat free week or two just to see..So now I have 3 kinds of cereal I can't eat..Good thing for college boys..they will eat anything I send to them..Bought the book Wheat Belly last night to see what it says about wheat sensitivities..My dr told me a year ago to test a wheat free diet even though I don't have allergies..

I have been doing all my Paperwork in my bedroom, but this morning I set up a desk by a window in our bonus room, overlooking the pool & waterfall...
I think I will like having a spot to leave my paperwork and not have it in my bedroom..

So far I'm not having any toothaches. That's a plus. And I'm back OP! That's a huge plus.

Nancy, your bonus room sounds like a soothing place to be. I love waterfalls.

Maryann, glad they found the lady. Bless her heart.

Pam, congratulations on maintaining. Thank you for letting us know about your husband. I hope he's feeling all right.

Vickie, I mean Good Vickie, congratulations on being back in control. Good Sandra needs to give up sugar desserts again.

Hi Ladies:)

Raining this morning and its coming down hard.Hope our Birdies & Flowers get some water as it was so parched out here.

Had to go to Walmart quickly and pick up a cheap watch as my died last night.Than rush home to get the living room straighten up as that where we play Canasta, but met a couple from my choir that I haven't seen in a while so If course we talk for a least 1/2 hr.

Now I'm home and posting to you gals instead of housework.Hope the group doesn't come over with a WHITE GLOVE. My handy man is coming this afternoon to put my toilet seat in as it was too late for him to come over last night.

LADIES-TG that she was ok when they found her she was a little frightened but they brought her to the hospital and all is ok. I guess she back home again. That's why I LOVE small town USA people seem to care for it other up here comparing to the big city.

NANCY-I have heard to wheat doing that to your joints. I change from wheat to multi grain instead. I have to look for that book wheat belly when I go out to Barnes & Nobles as I have a gift card from them.

SANDRA-Hope the toothache stays away that's the worst pain I have experienced.

PAM-Thanks for the congrats. Wish I could nap,I just can't find my ZZ's napping. Luckily I have a very good night sleep last night.

Have to go,have a great day

Home from WI. I gained 2.4 #'s. That's not as much as I'd thought, so I'm fairly happy. The good part is that I did go back to WW after missing a meeting and having a gain. In the past this has been my quitting spot. So far so good.

Good Morning Chicks! Tried to get on yesterday but ran out of time. Brodie had to be at the vet for a booster and a bath and grooming and we had a million errands. I hadn't slept well and had a nap when we got home. Poof....day gone!

Today is Jim's birthday, he's 62 and feeling aches and pains but is going strong. We'll celebrate with dinner out. I'll be having a salad and a lean steak....I think he's going for it with gusto.

Sandra, I am unbelievably proud of you for going to WW even when you knew you had a gain. Isn't it awesome to have a clean slate? You and I both have the pattern of not going and never going back. GREAT job!!!!

Rhonda, strawberries and cool whip sound great to me. I should buy some. I'm not a big fan of strawberries; I like other berries better but lately everything strawberry is calling to me. Maybe they have something my body needs.

Nancy, I love almost all things Amish, especially furniture. I've had my last two mirrors for my bathroom made by the Amish. I especially love them when custom is necessary because I find they are not much more expensive than the box stores for custom work I couldn't find elsewhere. Of course, maybe you don't want to spend that much for a home where you don't plan on staying, but it's a thought. If you don't mind online, check out wayfair.com or Home Decorators. You can always search for coupons for both of them too. I think I also saw mirrors on some of the poster websites too, like www.allposters.com. Happy Hunting!

We are done remodeling inside for the moment but I had the plumber here the other day to replace the wax rings on 2 of the 3 toilets in the house. We've lived here since 1997 and had never replaced them. Plumber said they were ready to go. I had a feeling we were on borrowed time. We are getting ready to contract to replace the asphalt driveway with concrete. I'll love it but will hate spending the money.

Mary Ann, I'm sure your GF's just wanted to have fun and didn't care how perfectly clean your house was. I had to laugh, though, because you remind me of me!

Pam, has your DH recovered from his procedure yet? My plan covers colonoscopies starting at 50. I'd get it if I were you. Piece of mind is worth a lot.

Ok Chickies....I'm off to breakfast. Won't be perfect for the next few days but will minimize it as much as possible.

Promise a longer post tonight ....
Vickie..I love the amish furniture , but how do you order that..??

I feel so much better, joints, mood is better , bloated feeling is gone, even my mind seems clearer..I went out to eat last night with friends and had a Black & Blue salad.
It was excellent. I had 2 glasses of wine and should have only had one..for some reason it really went to my head..
Handyman will be here soon..I like this guy, he never arrives too early..Last one used to arrive at 7 before I was even up...

I promise never to come to anyone's home and look for dust! I bet we can all agree to that!

I have a FULL day at home, with no appointments and no place that I have to go. How's that for smelling the roses? However, I will likely work in the yard; do some block-walking for my candidate; and go to the gym. :)

Nancy, glad to hear that you're feeling better.

Vickie, thanks for the allposters link. I didn't know about them. I like Shaker/Amish style furniture also, but I chose more contemporary and western for this house. I need about 3 houses ;) (big joke, I can't manage even one very well!)

Off to smell the roses...

Vickie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIM!! :gift: Enjoy your dinner out this evening. I am already planning to have birthday cake on my next bday--and that's not till January. :hungry:

You're right. My pattern has been to (Poof!):wizard: disappear from meetings when I have gone astray. Maybe you and I are making progress with our baby steps afterall. Well, yes. We definitely have! Guess we'll never be perfect, but who would recognize us if we were?

Nancy, what's a black and blue salad? Wine? mmmmmmmm. Sounds good to me.

Maryann, enjoy your day. Your snacks sound good and program friendly.

Rhonda, how'd you like the smell of those roses? We are still working in the yard readying it for our Montana friends. They'll be here before long.

I went to Ladies' Bible Class this AM then we went to lunch with friends. In about an hour a gf is coming to fling arrows. Oh! Our mail carrier stopped to visit today. She wants to start flinging arrows with us, too. Life is good!

Vickie, I hope you enjoyed your anniversary dinner.

Rhonda, a day of rest is good. Especially with all you do.

Sandra, good to hear you are back OP. Haven't had eggplant parm in a long time.

Maryann, hope you had fun last night.

We have gone from cool last week to HOT this week. We have the air on and I hate it. Once we turn it on, there is no going back.

My cousin with lung cancer is nearing the end of his journey here on earth. I don't know how he has hung on so long. He has no swallow reflex and they have cut off all food and liquids. Just a matter of time. He is down to 90 lbs. He was always so skinny anyway, so he has to be pure bones. He is over 6 ft. I pray God takes him soon.

Good Morning Chicks! Jim says thank you for the birthday wishes. Thank God for friends, that's all I can say.

I took him out for a wonderful meal at a new restaurant and he enjoyed it immensely. Then I took him to dessert at a local ice cream shop. He had a great day. And...tonight is date night. I'm choosing meals and eating quantities that I hope will keep me out of trouble.

Rhonda, I'm glad you had a lazy day. You know the body needs those once in a while. How fun that you will see Sandra and Curtis. Wish I could be there!

Pam, you sound so sad. I'm sorry about your Cousin. My Daddy died of lung cancer in 1979 and it was horrible. There was nothing they could do for him since it was in both lungs. I hope he finds his peace soon.

Sandra, lots of people I know love eggplant but I just can't wrap my brain (or my mouth) around it. It think it's a texture thing for me combined with people who don't know how to prepare it.

I got an all posters 22% off code, BRYA22, if anyone will be shopping there.

Nancy, I've always gone to stores in my local area that sell Amish furniture. You pick what you want from the showroom or you explain to them what you want and pick it from a catalog. Then you can often customize it in size, you can sometimes change trim, legs. It is so cool. Then you get to pick the stain color and often the wood. The mirror that I had made for my bath vanity was not a stock size. And, I brought in one of the drawers from my vanity so they could help me pick a color. Seriously, the mirror looks like it was made at the same time as the vanity. They are usually no more expensive that a regular furniture store. The only down side is that you often have to wait to get the product because they don't make it until your order it. You are in NC so you should have many. Just google Amish furniture store and your zip code. I did look at www.allposters.com and they did have some very narrow mirrors but I don't know what color or size you are looking for. Glad you are feeling better too.

Mary Ann, did you have fun at your party?

Gotta run. I was up late and slept late and it's time for breakfast!

Hi Ladies:)

Had another busy morning after church we went to Eli's for our brunch celebrating a passed birthday of one of our friends in the choir. Well when the waiter that was standing on the side saw us Mary and I he grinned and I asked him if he remembers us. He told us "Oh how will I ever forget you gals." The waiter that was waiting on us, was extra nice as I guess even though we are senile we were good tippers. Well guess what it happened again,my friend thought she saw something that was shiny under the table and I didn't see anything, but a napkin on the floor,so I picked it up and put it on my chair and as we were leaving, the waiter called out to us and he didn't catch up to us until he was outside in the parking lot. I lost my Lipstick. Did we Laugh again, don't think they are every going to like this senile group in again.

Now I'm watching golf, and thought I'd pop in and say hello.

SANDRA-Happy to here you had a great time with your cousin Rhonda and her hubby. It nice to get together with family, relaxing and drinking iced tea.

RHONDA-Never went to my high school reunion as its now in a very very bad neighborhood. My son told me he was afraid standing there on the corner waiting for his bus back home. Sorry about your friends DH having Parkinson's disease.

VICKIE-Oh NO!! your new bath tub was leaking. I wonder what happened. By all mine take it back or use your warrant .

Have a great evening, going to go back to the golf game
