The stated goal is to lose 10 pounds, but smaller (or bigger!) goals are always welcome as well.

Omg, I was just in the middle of making this!

So glad you did, though.

I participated in the thread last month and lost 10.8 pounds. By June 1st next month I hope to have replicated that success!

Sorry, Amy! I'm glad we didn't duplicate. I failed hard in April, so I was motivated to get on with the new month, I guess!

Speaking of which, I have a nearly two week vacation right in the middle of the month, so I don't see myself making even a conservative goal of 5 lbs this month. Still, that's what I will shoot for.

I would love to see the 180s this month, since they evaded me in April. My goal for my NYC trip is to maintain whatever weight I'm at when I leave. I have a week and a half to get down a few more pounds before I hit the road.

I'm definitely in for another month and for May I hope to keep up with the thread a little better. I'll post my official month beginning weight tomorrow, but my goal is 10lb for the month. I have a week of chaos in the middle if the month for my sister's wedding but already working on a plan so I don't wreck my progress.

So glad to see a new thread after being stuck most of last month at the same weight! Hopefully next month I'll finally start to lose again! I've still yet to lose 10 pounds in one month, but I think it's a good goal to aim for even if there's very little chance I'll make it. Good luck to everyone!

I only managed to lose 3/4 of a pound in last month's challenge! :dizzy: I'd had higher hopes since I'd lost almost ten pounds the previous month. :lol: Still, better than a gain, right? ;) Let's see how well I do this month! :D Game on.

The 220's, 222 - 220 specifically, were a horrid place, lol... It took me months to get out, lol.. I'm a slow loser, though.. I also had a stuck place at 202 - 200. And in the 260's... And the upper 180's, LOL.

I won't tell you how long exactly though, hah. It was longer than I would have liked. Just keep going, itll be gone when it wants to be.. and if you think it's been to long, change something up. :D

The 220s were AWFUL! I don't know what it was but my body LOVED them, I thought I'd never be out of them.keep on keeping on, the 2teens have been alot easier for my body to get thru (when I stay on track that is lol)

OK This morning I weighed in at 215, but sunday I weighed in at 213.2 before having a training session and a couple slices of pizza hut pizza so I know I am retaining water, therefore I am setting my starting weight @ the 213.2 and aiming for the whole 10. Well... 10.2, I like aiming for round numbers lol

So I had a good surprise this morning. After seeing 202 on the scales faithfully every day for about 3 weeks, I finally saw 201 again (i previously saw 201 for just 1 day). I don't have too much faith of it sticking around this time, either, but its a start!

Last Month I challenged myself to no meat or soda for 30 days. I managed to be rid of the last remaining weight I regained in Jan/Feb/March. (I was at 182 per Ticker and shot up to 197 Started April with 188)

This month I am continuing my challenge (Which I aced) but I will be adding a bit of chicken and pork into it and will be trying out the Mediterranean Diet. I did not get a lot of working out in last month, just alot of working, so I am sure that starting this month new and working out like I should be, that ten pounds will fly off no problem. I am also trying to stick to low carbs, but they tend to level around 150, I need to cut 50! :( No more moolattes for me.

Did NOT get a great start to the month. Drank 3 strong vodkas and a bottle (a big bottle) of beer last night and had myself a binge: two bags of chips, full-sugar soda, a handful of M&M's and a couple of slices of pizza.

ARRRGGGHHHH!

I'm up 2 lbs today. I know it's probably not all fat, but it still sucks. I'm doubling my workout today and going for a perfect day food-wise. Hopefully the scale will be kinder to me tomorrow.

I've lost 10 since the new year, and I'm trying to get off some meds but need to lose 10 more to try it.

CW: 182.4 -This was a higher than previous days weight. Late night salty food last night.
GW: 165.x (even 165.9 Ill be ecstatic)

I know this is a VERY lofty goal. But this may is MY month to make it happen. April was a learning time of alot of false starts in weightloss and I am ready and I have a solid plan to make May incredible.

Plus I get to buy new jeans when I get to 165, and doing so in June would be amazing. :)

P.S. I know I am setting a crazy lofty goal and honestly if I lose 3 or 4 lbs in the month of June I will be happy. But since I am just getting started I felt its a good time to hope for big losses.

For the last three days, my weight has been all over the place (and not in a good way). Fluctuating between kind of up and "whoa Nelly, how did that happen!" I've been sticking to my plan, exercising, just going through a phase. Not the way I want to begin the month, but I do still have the whole month ahead of me so I suppose I can deal with it :)

:tread:I just got on the scale. It is 9am here in Korea. I amvery happy with the results, I think I was very bloated last week because of my monthly friend. I also cheated, I had candy and popcorn. It was crazy before I knew it I had already chewed a 5 peach candies and then my student brought me popcorn. It was salty and sugary. It was so awsome. I know I suck. Ifelt so bad after. :o So I did an extra walk that night.

Rechyl, water retention is the worst. I am dealing with that right now myself. Just hang in there; it will come back off as long as you stick with your plan. Sometimes we retain water for no reason whatsoever and it's super frustrating.

Speaking of which, I am back down to my start weight this morning! Woo! At least my extra pound of water is gone, I guess. I've got four more days before I leave on vacation, and I am going to stick to my plan religiously and try to get back to 192 before I leave. We'll see.

Rechyl, A gain like that in 5 days its very likely sodium. Like the girls have said, it'll probably be gone in a few days :)

Amy! Don't worry :) 1.7 is great in not even a week. Your hard work is definitely paying off. Remember what they say. 1.5 -2 lbs is not only safe, but makes it more likely you'll keep the loss. stick to your plan and you're gonna be fine :)

Not a bad first week! I hope I can keep this up throughout the month. I really, really want to reach that 268.5 (or under - hopefully under!) by June 1st.

I haven't been eating (or drinking) enough for the past few days and I'[m feeling it. It's not intentional - I just couldn't afford the foods that I usually eat, and if they're not there, I don't substitute them with something else. I just don't eat anything but my 3 small meals.

I just guzzled two big cups of water and had a piece of vegemite toast, handful of sultanas and a cup of coffee. It was delightful and just what I needed! I'm sick of undereating; I can't do it all the time.

I don't care if it shows up on the scale tomorrow. I need to be eating properly; can't wait to go shopping on Wednesday!

Oh...Boy.

I failed pretty hardcore this weekend. I, essentially, participated in a diet horror movie. If it was edible and got near me...I ate it (ramen, cheese, vodka, etc). >_< There is shame and there is diet shame. lol. I am probably carrying a bunch of water weight but still

Just wanted to check in......I have been doing ok except I ate cheesenips instead of food for dinner last night. I still stayed on my calorie count that I set for myself. I went into a store to buy my husband a snack and I brought myself a snack also. It was a bad idea.

I will do another workout today to combat the negative choice.

Ohh....I also drink buckwheat tea. If you feel bloated try that or smoothmove tea. It will help you stay regular or you can add lemon to your water. It will make you go to the bathroom.

Just checking in one last time before I leave on vacation. I saw 193.8 this morning, which is pathetic, but at least it wasn't 195, which it has been for the past several days. And tomorrow I leave for a trip to New York with some friends, so I will probably come back to 195 or higher. I'm okay with that; it will be worth it to enjoy my trip (within reason, of course) and if I don't lose this month, I will work twice as hard in June.

I would like to join in. I can't get out of the 180's for nothing in this world. I have been going back and forth with 2 - 3 lbs. This is killing me. I have been weighing daily and I don't like the results. I was at 182 this morning and I am struggling to get those 3 lbs off so that I can be 179. Poor me. :'(

I totally understand what you are saying. The 180's are mentally abusive to me. They are NOT treating me good at all and I am having a hard time dealing with it. I want the scale to say 179 !!!!!!!!!!!! That would be more motivation for me to lose more weight. Oh how I would LOVE to be stuck in the 160's for 6 months. LOL

Yes, I did it. I wasn't sure if I could but I did. I"m not sure what the green machines are but if you are getting juice, then that should be fine. My goal was detox and weight loss and I think I did both. I was the same way......Once I made it pass Day 4, it was smooth sailing. Not hungry at all.

30 days!! wow :) I bet it was life changing. I did the master cleanse for a week. That was interesting. It was challenging, but I had plenty of energy and slept like a baby. I, too remember things really changed after day 4. Did you have great sleep on the juice too? Anyway, the Green machine is the Naked Juice. It's 'supposed' to be the healthiest green juice out there. no Added sugar and etc. I just hope I'm not screwing this up with bottled juice. So far, I have dropped my cinco de mayo extra weight. yeah, mostly water, but I think I had a good pound or so in there from this weekend.. haha!

Yes, it was definitely life changing. I had wonderful sleep on the juice cleanse and still do. I heard about the Naked Juice. I just checked out the ingredients and it seems to be all natural, which is good. So, you may be ok with the Naked Juice.

Today is my first day on the Scarsdale Diet. It went really good. It is a two week diet that teaches you how to eat and then you follow a fit plan for the rest of the time and you choose your own items to eat. Today I ate:

Breakfast:
1 grapefruit
1 cup of buckwheat tea with no sugar
1 slice of wheat bread

Lunch:
chicken breast
sliced tommatoes

Dinner:(My favorite)
2 pieces of Fish (frozen kind that is by Gorton's and is only 90 cal)
A huge plate of salad (lett, tomm, onion, red peppers)
I made my own dressing from mustard and lemon juice

BY SOME MIRACLE (or new calorie cycling and jogging routine) I have made it to my goal of 10lb for the month of May. I have broken through my plateau and had a crazy whoosh. I am aware though that I will probably have to work my big bum off to lose the last 10. Sigh. lol but yay?

&& GREAT JOB EVERYONE!! EVERYONE CAN DO IT. PUSHHH THROUGH!!!

Down to 87.3 this morning. Dragged myself to the gym for speedwalking, weighlifting and yoga. Just gotta keep my eating under control and I should be on my way down tomorrow, too!

Gracious, this is officially the longest TOM ever. I don't think in my whole life has it ever been this long. I'm down to just spotty now, so I guess thats good, but... whew. Totally done with it, lol.

I would like to join in. I can't get out of the 180's for nothing in this world. I have been going back and forth with 2 - 3 lbs. This is killing me. I have been weighing daily and I don't like the results. I was at 182 this morning and I am struggling to get those 3 lbs off so that I can be 179. Poor me. :'(

I am at 178.8lbs. My 10 day juice cleanse helped me kick it up to the 170's. Thank goodness !!!!!!!!!! :carrot: Now I feel better and not so down about not being able to get out of the 180's. That is motivation for me to reach the 10lb goal for June. So I have 6 more lbs to go. :)

I officially HATE the scale today. I'm up .4 lbs for the month and 4lbs since last Friday. I did start a new lifting routine this week but I refuse to believe that my muscles are holding on to that much water.....my dreams of seeing the 170s this month are slowly drifting away.....but I'm not defeated. I'm just going to keep working.

I just started the scarsdale diet and its great! I even ate reg food one day this week and still lost 4 lbs. Give it a try it may get you out of the 70s. Our you can drink buckwheat tea. That will help also....Good luck!

Well I'm still at 200 (on good days). I've started doing Insanity and I'm trying to stay optimistic that it'll help me lose weight faster but TOM is is messing me up right now. Everythings riding on insanity..we'll see how it goes.

The scale and I are back on speaking terms today. My body must've really just been holding on to some extra water yesterday. I'm down almost 4 lbs for the month and .3 lbs. since last Friday. Not stellar but it sure beats being up 4 lbs.

Seems like a 10 pound loss is pretty impossible at this point for May but on the bright side, since I started this diet 7 weeks ago I have lost a total of 10! Trying to remain positive even though it's been slow. Any loss is better than none! My goal this week is to get motivated to go back to the gym. I was on a roll but the last two weeks I fell off the wagon.

The scale finally went down!! I went off plan on mothers day and have been paying for it all week going from 204-207 and this morning it said 202.6!!!! I'm so happy!!

I have no idea what I weigh right now! I went away on vacation and came back to TOM, so now I'm waiting for that to be done, and then I'll know where I stand, weight-wise.

I have a feeling this month is going to be a wash, but at least I didn't gain anything on vacation. That's something, I suppose.

I'm in! I think 10lbs may be unrealistic for me based on my current trend, but I will do what I can.

Now I wish I posted what my start weight is, because I have no idea. I do know that I have lost and I am feeling good. I really need to get back into the exercising though, because I feel as though I've been a little lax with that.

Just got on the scale to see the damage that I thought I had done this ast weekend, but it is not as bad as I thought. The scarsdale diet is the way to go. The weight comes of quickly and then you also eat so you are not hungry.

So...I am so close but so far for the 10 pound weight lose goal. It is possible if I loose 2 more pounds this week to put me at 198 then 2 pounds next week to put me at the 196 I need. I think I shoud go for a jog and get out of the house. When I start to loose weight I always start slacking on the exercise part. **Iyakamae** I have the same problem.
