Hi there. Sorry if this has been discussed before. I'm 19 and the only exercise equipment in the house is a recumbent bike. Like others i'm embarrassed to go to a gym and stuff. I ride for 30 minutes twice a day and feel it start to kick my you-know-what after 10 minutes. I do level 2-3 at 13-14MPH. I'm 194 pounds female. If i do this 4 times a while on a 1500 calorie diet will i lose 3-4 lbs a week? I'm just worried I'm doing all this work for nothing because a recumbent bike I heard won't do anything for weightloss just a few calories.
Hi what does your diet consist of? You won't lose any weight by just riding the recumbent bike, do you do any body weight or band exercises? If you want to lose 3-4lbs a wk you need weight training. Not necessarily with weights but more than the bike. Look up anaerobic weight training. The bike would be aerobic and you need to balance it off with anaerobic and you'll be awesome and slim What's your diet?
